Yes! I interviewed back in October and wasn’t on the waitlist either.
no way! I also just got the R as well. It sucks they took so freaking long to respond. Very unorganized.

April 30 is when applicants must choose one acceptance to keep and withdraw from the other schools. They are however allowed to stay on waitlists beyond April 30th. But only one acceptance must be held.
So that is when a big chunk of waitlist movement happens.
+1 WL. checked my CYMS portal and saw it, never received an email from CDU.

I’m waitlisted but I don’t have a CYMS and can’t choose a school
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think CYMS only shows up if you have at least 1 acceptance. If you have at least one A, you can log into CYMS and see if you are listed as “Alternate” for any schools you are waitlisted at.
If you are only waitlisted at schools, the CYMS tool won't pop up.
Regardless, don't worry. If Dr. Loeza replied to your WL acceptance and confirmed you're on the waitlist then you are fine.

just emailed them, they let me know the class is full
I’d imagine they'd send out a final rejection email to the WL if this was the case. I guess that would be coming in the near future?
I had to CTE to another school or my acceptance was going to get rescinded, and the assistant dean asked me if I was still interested in CDU

Hello! I'm hoping if any current CDU students or anyone familiar with CDU can provide some insights for me. Trying to decide between WesternU COMP and CDU.

- an MD school, so I would only need to worry about one set of boards (STEP)
- pre-clinical curriculum has class with embedded research in it --> this might make it easier to find research opportunities
- on their website:
- Research: Introduces students to research mentors and guides them in developing projects that culminate in a research proposal and final presentation.
- smaller class size of 60 students: could be a pro or con
CDU Cons
- is a newer school, less established and less connections to hospital systems for rotations
- virtual anatomy labs --> can any current students talk about whether or not virtual anatomy labs provide valuable learning experience
- no on campus housing
- preliminary accreditation; "on track to achieve full accreditation upon the graduation of its inaugural class in 2027"
WesternU Pros
- an established DO school; more connections to hospitals for rotations
- real cadavers for anatomy lab
- on campus housing
- curriculum with conference weeks built in after exams
- larger class, could be a pro or con
- I will have to take extra boards (COMLEX and STEP, which is added stress) to stand out during residency
- I understand taking both boards is not required, but I choose to since I want to maximize chances, even if I want to pursue primary care and not the competitive specialties later on

Per an email response from admissions I received today, I was told that the class is full and I should commit at my other school.

Hello everyone, I would keep my faith up if I were you! Some people gave up their seats today since today was CDU's CTE deadline. I'm praying for more movement for my waitlisted folks!
