admit.org shows some early July submitters getting II invite like yesterday, so I'm gonna assume they either go back late or ur application reviewer just hasn't gotten to u yet? no II here as well and submitted secondary a few weeks ago so.....

That's my current reaction. I understand they only send secondaries to 20% but still... I went to school at UT Austin, LM 74 so I should be in stats range, think I'm a good fit. I even got secondary from UCSF today so that leaves Dell as the only school I haven't received one.

Day was long, but overall stress level was low and the faculty is super cool and fun!
Congrats! But man, I really want a Dell II, submitted my secondary 7/23 as well and didn't realize they are already scheduling interviews that late🙁

Congrats on the II! I saw that your portal didn’t update after you submitted your secondary, did that ever get resolved prior to receiving the II? I’m in the same boat: submitted my secondary late last week and still don’t see the portal updated. Wondering if I should reach out to the admissions office

Thank you! I resolved it by emailing admissions and they let me know they'd have their IT dept update the portal for me and that my app was still in line for review despite the portal not updating.

Congratulations. Dell is known to issue secondaries even in November.

Hehe I feel like I just bombed my video secondary but I am still proud of myself!
i received a link for a “Multi Video Assessment Interview” from dell this morning. my interview is not scheduled until late-ish october, so I’m not too sure when to complete this. in my email confirming the interview they didnt mention anything about an MVA. should i just email admissions?
You should probably notify in case there is a mistake in names - there is an interview today.
I received one too, but had done mine on 8/21/25 during my interview. I emailed and they said it was a mistake so I'm guessing it was sent to everyone. I would wait for an email or your interview day

Do med schools send out more acceptances than class size? if so how many % more acceptances they send out based on the yield rate?

Depends on the school and their perceived number in the pecking order.
Baylor will have higher yield than UTSW than Dell than McGovern and so on.
So Baylor will admit slightly more people than class size, UTSW slightly more than Baylor in percentage and so on.
By the time the dust settles (initial offers, Match Day narrowing down Texans with multiple offers to one Match, people leaving after Match Day for greener pastures in other states, etc) yes, there will have been more offers made than the size of the class.
Admissions directors understand the ebb and flow of the admissions cycle and are usually careful not to over-promise, but to use their WL to fill gaps later as needed.
