The last email I got before the rejection was from October and said:

"Thank you for submitting your application to Rush Medical College. The admissions committee is currently assessing your materials to determine the next steps in our evaluation process.

Given that we have received 15,000 applications in this cycle, this stage may require additional time. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we conduct a comprehensive and careful review."
 
Any thoughts on the type of updates that Rush my value from those who have received II? As well as when interviews might re start?
 
Also, has anyone heard II recently after the 'additional reviewer' email they sent out in August.

Health equity research (multiple years as a clinical research coordinator) was a point in my app but I wouldn't say it was the sole focus of my app.

Remember many medical schools interview into January, February, March, even April for a few schools.

There are still months worth of II to go out at Rush and other schools.

They stated during the interview session that they conducted interviews till the end of February last year and plan on doing the same this year. With ~25 students per interview group and ~7 weeks in January and February, assuming 175 more students will receive II (my assumptions, not stated anywhere)?
 
On Rush’s portal they say “If you have any questions about your status, you may contact the RMC Admissions Office via email.”

I know the advice is generally to not do that but Rush is my absolute top choice and I still haven’t gotten an II or R yet so I’m wondering if anyone has done this or recommends it considering they say that on their portal

I did it and was just told it is still in review.

Likely pointless. I woudln't bother them with that question. If there is no R or ii then they will without a doubt simply tell you that your application is under review. They can't start telling everyone who emails them or else they will get flooded. Just hang on tight

Has anyone from the 12/10 interview day heard anything back yet?
 
I hate that I got the "moved forward to additional reviewr" email and I have heard nothing. Rush is literally my only hope right now. I wish they didn't send the email at all if im going to get rejected anyway. im tired

Why send the email that im being considered for interviews, then interview the people who didnt get the next steps email. its so frustrating

Dont give up hope. I got this email over two months ago and just got my interview yesterday.
 
dang. i got the "give us time cause we got 15k applicants". rush is my #1 and i havent heard anything else. rip. see some of yall next reapp
