Jump scare this morning with an e-mail from Tulane, but it was just the "application under review" e-mail. Secondary submitted 7/7

I didn't get my Tulane secondary yet. OOS. Im confused? Am I the only one?

When did your primary app get verified? Also maybe check your spam folder

I got verified mid June, I don't remember the exact date and I started getting secondaries from June 28th. I just combed thru my whole email, I don't think I got it. I also checked their pre-reqs and I complete them.

i also received "secondary under review" update 7/22 via email, nothing changed in the portal

I took caspar but recieved second quartile, since its not required for tulane (i already got an email saying that my application is under review), should i still submit it to them or not? I don't want it to negatively impact my application.

Yes, you should. I've heard Tulane does appreciate Casper scores.

I just got an under review email! I submitted my app on 7/3 and was marked complete on 7/8, is this still considered early for Tulane? I know they heavily prioritize early applicants

I believe Tulane is rolling admission so we are good. Also looking at last years thread people who received under review email was a good thing because not everyone will get the under review email, the people who don't get that email usually get put on hold or receive a pre ii R.

It was an email. No notification through the portal, although it mentioned something about a red exclamation point being visible at some point in the process, I haven't gotten one.

Here is the part of the email I received following the submission of my application that mentions the exclamation points, with points of emphasis underlined, and bolded/italicized:


"We would like to inform you that your application is complete.

Your portal will have a red exclamation point stating you are in progress and this will remain until you are assigned to a screener.

Once assigned, the checkmark will turn green and your application is now considered under review.

You will receive another email once a decision is made on your application."


I haven't yet seen any exclamation points in my portal, so I was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat.

I honestly just think they haven't updated their emails. It's out of date information

Green checkmarks are good. They indicate that your application has successfully been submitted, and that all the components are there. The next thing you'll get is an email telling you that your application is "Under Review" –––– see above users.
