2025-2026 UC Davis

I just redid the math in my head… it must be less because they interview into March. That’s my bad. If they did 100, they would give out their 500 by January. It must be closer to 70-80 each month. Thank you for catching that!

My rationale was that my interview day had a cohort ~30 peeps and if it stays consistent around there, it should add up to ~100 by the beginning of this month.

out of curiosity, where did you find these statistics?
MSAR
Yeah it's just that the MSAR does not publish "cohorts" or whatever.

Not trying to nitpick; it's just that a lot of people come here for accurate information. I am still lost on where you got the number "100." But whatever.

Just added it up over the month (assuming they interview the same number of people each week). It’s my best guess, but I agree with you about giving the most accurate data. Again, my bad!

UC Davis was the very first school I added on AMCAS and I was verified July 10th. At first I thought they were just slow but I still have not even gotten a secondary from them. Is it pretty safe to say at this point that I've been screened? I wonder why they would reject me without even a chance at a secondary... My stats match theirs and I'm from NorCal...

When I emailed them 2 weeks ago about my updated MCAT, they replied in the email that it takes them a while to screen holistically due to the amount of applications, and that secondary apps will be sent through January, which seems like a pretty long timeline to me. They also said they would send a rejection email if you are not being considered.

Thank you, receiving a secondary as late as January seems crazy but it really helps to know they do send rejection emails instead of ghosting.

Yeaaaa it’s interesting. As soon as I got my score on 9/23 (and emailing the schools about my updated score), the next day UCSF sent me one, two days later UCSD pre secondary rejects me and still waiting for LA, Irvine, and Davis. So I guess they take the longest 🤷🏽‍♂️
