^^ This.Duh! I'm cheering for all the vet students! Vet school is hard!
We have an entire ranch and aaep chapter that holds a huge castration lab in connection with A&M every year and have multiple electives for equine med and sx as well as repro. We have awesome school ponies and aaep chapter!😛

what are people arguing about? lol
That escalated quickly. Lolhaha! I just saw that last bit, so thought people were comparing school activities involving the ponies. We have a good portion of each class going equine, so the school is good for that, especially the quarter horses. Lots of rescues around as well. We have a clydesdale in the hospital at the moment, but sadly I don't think the feet are correctible. 🙁That escalated quickly. Lol
we also have an AAEP chapter! Plus a really awesome respiratory physiologist guy who does a lot of work with performance horses on the equine treadmill (I think)We have awesome school ponies and aaep chapter!😛
um yeah. That tooWe have an entire ranch and aaep chapter that holds a huge castration lab in connection with A&M every year and have multiple electives for equine med and sx as well as repro.

We, technically, were in an attempt to woo the eligible bachelorette, @SkiOtter , into coming to our school instead of a different school.haha! Ahh! In general I feel like I am getting a good all around education here. I've pretty much explored any and every interest I've had throughout school, and I def appreciate the cheapness of COL. I have my entire house and giant backyard all to myself for $650. The school is all in one spot so wandering over to the hospital is a simple task. etc etc. I miss living on a coast and can't wait to get out of here, but for school, I am happy with my choice to come here. If that helps at all. hahaWe, technically, were in an attempt to woo the eligible bachelorette, @SkiOtter , into coming to our school instead of a different school.
They (Illinois) pointed out it was closer to home. Kansas had a mediocre defense. Oklahoma pointed out the low COE and the presence of lots of ponies/ pon pon facilities.
I would agree!!Ahh! In general I feel like I am getting a good all around education here. Or at least you'll like it a bit more as each semester passes. Glad we at least go in reverse order from worst to best too. bahahaaaI would agree!!
Stilly’s definitely not a place I would stay in forever, but I really like the education I’m getting here!

That is all you'll talk about. Make sure to get it this round because as I think LIS has mentioned before, it is really important to know PPV and Specificity versus Sensitivity and such. Easy points for NAVLE too.😱
I enjoy 4/6 of my classes this semester. Reaaaally like immuno, path, and parasit. Anatomy is... interesting. Epidemiology is okay but all we’ve talked about is Statistics.
Oh. 🙁 sigh. Oh well. Easy memorization/ no in class tests so it'll be okay. That is all you'll talk about. Make sure to get it this round because as I think LIS has mentioned before, it is really important to know PPV and Specificity versus Sensitivity and such. Easy points for NAVLE too.

@LetItSnow Lupin didn’t even have to tag you and you still showed up 11 minutes later.

I don’t know how to smoothly interrupt a thread so...
I’ll be poking around here more often. I started with CO2020 but decided to drop down to 2021 so I could re-learn ASL. I didn’t think I’d be able to pass junior surgery year just by reading lips. 😱

Face masks would definitely interfere with that!
Epi and statistics are the best!!!Epidemiology is okay but all we’ve talked about is Statistics.

There’s one FDA approved surgery mask with a clear mouth window! Unsure how long until the anti-fogging surfactant wears off and they start fogging up, but masks can be replaced when needed.

Epi and statistics are the best!!!But as someone getting an MPH maybe I'm not the most unbiased opinion on that
It might hurt your heart to hear that I did well over a year of statistics and epidemiology heavy classes and loved them. It's interesting and practical math, the only kind I like!Chiming in here to ask... what the heck is wrong with you?! Epi is bad. Stats are even worse.

okay so obviously i had to go google them and im cracking up at the smile because it looks like it was just photoshopped onto the mask especially in this small of a picture 🤣

I enjoyed epi (and AP Stats in high school) too, and I'm not a public health person! I'll see myself out...Chiming in here to ask... what the heck is wrong with you?! Epi is bad. Stats are even worse.
I did an undergrad in stats and 4 years as a statistician. High five for epidemiology! It might hurt your heart to hear that I did well over a year of statistics and epidemiology heavy classes and loved them. It's interesting and practical math, the only kind I like!

One of my classmates has already told me when we graduate he's going to terf all of his derm and exotics cases to me because he hates them but I love it a ton. I'll have to let him know to add on any outbreak investigations as well. 😉Truly heartbreaking. Of all the interesting things in vet med, I just want better for you.
Seriously though, I’m glad someone likes it. Then I can just call someone like you when I’m noticing an outbreak of something and you can worry about it for me 😉
I'll gladly terf surgery cases to you. That's not my jam, I like to get down and dirty and I'm told that's slightly frowned upon in the surgical suite.Man, I’m outnumbered. Maybe I got a bad taste due to our very nice but very boring teacher.
Or maybe I’d just rather cut something with my scalpel or pull some blood than do math. Yeah, probably that one lol!
Edit: I’m outnumbered by people who like epi... I feel like there’s a math joke in there somewhere but I’m too tired to figure out what it is.

I'm sure her two visits here have spoken for themselves.
Unfortunately I haven't met her, when she interviewed both this year and last it was during winter break so I wasn't here. 😢Whoa. Whoawhoawhoa. WHOA.
Two. Two visits. She's visited you twice!!! Ugh. I thought Illinois had a special place in your heart @SkiOtter . But I see that's not the case. You haven't visited us twice (as in formally setting up a tour).
Would’ve been better visits if you had bothered to show up either time..... 🙄I don't need to attempt to woo Ski, I'm sure her two visits here have spoken for themselves.

Don’t get your panties in a twist, Illinois will get a second visit next month 😛Whoa. Whoawhoawhoa. WHOA.

I relate to #3. How I “solve” (and I mean make 0.1% better) my life spiraling out of control too.1) How in Dog's name did we let this get to page two?!
2) I have finally hit the moment where I feel my life is comically spiraling out of control.
3) The only thing I've done to combat that is stay up till midnight instead of 10 to study.

I've had some very good friends get in this cycle and I'm living off their enthusiasm like a joy-sucking vampireI have several friends who are getting into vet school right now and their excitement is so refreshing...we used to be that enthusiastic...
