Class of 2021 . . . how ya doin?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I just discovered the head exploding iPhone emoji and it definitely feels appropriate the night before an anatomy exam😕

I survived too! I don’t know how exactly I did, but I feel regally good about it!

I keep track of the number of questions I know I got right and then underestimate a little bit. The little hash marks keep me sane. Lol.

I do a version of that as well. Unfortunately I lost track after our 73 true or false questions followed by 2 + more pages of death

We have an epidemiology take home exam due tomorrow that our professor gave us last Friday. And since the physiology death exam was this Friday, I clearly didn’t start it until last night.

Man I forgot how much I hate statistics/ how little I actively paid attention during that class. 😱

Hello google. Please help a girl out.

I opened every single lecture on my laptop, found a keyword for each exam question and searched said keyword through each powerpoint. Click enter enter. Click enter enter. Over and over and over. It’s somewhat effective.

Instead of studying like I planned, I’ve been spending the afternoon attempting to outsmart one of my pet mice (which is a lot harder than one would think). She decided she’d much rather live in the hole in the wall in my bathroom that’s under renovation than with her cagemate, who is distraught over her missing friend. I tried to catch her last night by leaving her cage open with food and water but she just carried all of the food out and back to her new digs while I was sleeping. Now I’m trying an actual mouse trap that I wandered all over the city to find. Fingers crossed.

I’m a fan of bucket traps for the really hard-to-catch ones. Google probably has directions, but you pretty much just lure them onto something that isn’t stable so they fall into your bucket and you can scoop them out in the morning (unless your cat is too curious and you have to wake up in thr middle of the night to intervene, *ahem* miss k.o.).

Ooh, thanks for the tip. I will definitely try that next if the trap doesn’t work. Thankfully I have the bathroom where she is blocked off so my cat won’t be tempted to play!

I wish I was at the big dog show. But like... pharm and histo while streaming the show is just as fun, right? Right?!

Someone lie to me and confirm.
I skipped watching last night (though it's DVR'd), but tonight is terrier night so I'm choosing Westminster over the Olympics. If you look at it the other way, maybe pharm and histo are more tolerable with the dog show?

I can never skip a night because Herding and Hounds are night 1 and then obviously I've got to watch Best.

I like your spin on it. Definitely makes this sound better.

T-minus two hours till vetscapades!!! Line started an hour ago and not sure I brought enough beverage.

Anybody want to teach me 50 bacterial organisms and 30 viruses in the next two days? :angelic:
If you want to teach me the remaining 53/67 parasites/ literally everything about them for tomorrow’s exam

Why am I like this. I hate me so much.
I could maybe teach you 3 of each. Maybe.

Just now made it to filarids. Up to 500 quizlet flashcards...

I finished my flash cards last night. I have everything up to Eucoleus memorized... so... much... more...
I always seriously underestimate the amount of information despite my best efforts. But thankfully I use making the flashcards as my studying, rather than actually using them afterwards to study. Most of the time I barely go through them once.

I do too. Just ugh. So much.

Yeah I would like to meet a non pathologist vet who regularly sees Trichuris serrata or Ollanus tricuspis on a regular basis!
I'm 90% sure we didn't learn either of those. Parasitologists that teach stuff that's not clinically relevant make me sad, I loved our parasitology class.

It is SO nice outside and after back to back exams yesterday and today, I am taking the night off from studying. The screen door is open and my cats are loving the fresh air.

It's raining here and my basement had a ton of water in it when I got home.

You want to share some of that nice weather?
