Class of 2022...how you doin'?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Since we're throwing age out there 😛 I'm 21, will turn 22 in the first semester of vet school (late birthday ughhh), I graduated high school in 2014 and am graduating undergrad in May of this year (2018 for those of us that live under rocks) :hello:

I’m the same!!! Except I turn 22 in May 🙂

Oh my goodness, you poor thing.

I'm gonna roll my eyes in unison with the rest of the 30+ crew.
I shall refer to SkiOtter's previous post about everything being dripping with sarcasm 🤣

I graduated kindergarten in 2000

I don't think there is anything too memorable from 2000 on as far as nostalgia goes. No movies or fashions or music that I recall being historical. I have plenty of pics with sky high side swiped bangs going on from the nineties. haha

In body I am 25.
In spirit I am 4. Give me my nap, a snack, a juice box and I'm good for the day

** (please for the love of God give me these things). ***:hilarious:
In spirit I’m like 85. I like naps, wheel of fortune, and more naps

Tbh tho my body is like 70 and falling apart too tho

My girl, Maisy, and I went to out first CPE agility trial this weekend and I cannot be more happy! She qualified and got 1st place in her Standard Level 1 run, which earned her a title which I was not expecting! We also got 1st place in 4 out of our 5 runs that we did all weekend. Sooooo proud of my girl!!!!

Backstory: I adopted her from the local shelter when she was 7 months old. She was on the euthanasia list there and had a lot of balance and coordination issues, which made me put her in agility classes to help her improve. It took a long time for her to be able to get coordinated enough to clear the obstacles successfully, which I never thought she would be able to do. Competing in our first agility trial was a huge accomplishment for her. My only hope was that she would have a good time, which she did! 🙂

Oh she’s so pretty (even though I think I’ve said it before I’m saying it again)
I love her floofy ears and her speckles (I just really love speckles)

Hahahaha love it!!!! :biglove:

Look at us all excited... all the V'21's are like... just wait till first week of school -- you aren't even gonna know what hit you :hilarious:
So I'm new to this forum, but totally just thought about purchasing a decal for my car, considering none of the clothing in the bookstore says "College of Veterinary Medicine" on it 🙁, I did get a plain "Tuskegee University" shirt when I was visiting for my interview though LOL

I know for my school, most of our clubs have fundraising sales within the first month or so of school where there's swag galore. So you'll probs be able to get decals and clothes with vet med stamped across them!

My campus also has several independent businesses that sell swag, including specific colleges of the University. A ton of us bought our first vet med swag from them.

Same thing at my school as what @batsenecal said with regards to clubs having all the gear you could want 🙂

Where is the LOVE button???

Does everyone on here who is on the side of "go with the cheapest school" also on the side of "go with the cheapest apartment"? I need help with my decision. 🤔

depends on what you want to pay and how safe it is hahahahaha. I’m pro-cheapest school, but pro-middle cost apartment. Don’t need the fancy stuff but would appreciate not being in a place where a murder might’ve previously occurred.

I’ve been told “live like a student now so you can live like a doctor later”

Take that how you will lol! I have to live in a place i like with good management. I wouldn’t give up certain things for less rent (dishwasher or in unit laundry because I’m lazy and it would take me a long time to do these otherwise) i also wouldn’t give up good management and maintenance for lower cost because you want stuff to get done in a timely manner and you don’t want to have to worry about that on top of school. That’s my two cents
