I dunno, I believe her. I actually read the rules thoroughly this time because I saw the different yeet mechanics and didn't want to miss anything else and also still didn't assume no nights lol

Oh I believe it on a surface level, I just don't think she's 100% incapable of faking something like that. But I'm comfy with her response to my pointing it out.

Inevitably, later in the game, when people forget why they town read Clem and say "Clem is inscrutable, dead null", return to his start of the game. Mafia will be tempted to throw him into any pot of three just because he's Clem.

I still have a bit of angst from having to vote for him to save myself last game and I feel like you've invoked some kind of curse here

I think I've decided genny is suspicious again. My previous reasons were indeed dumb, but she still hasn't given an actual read. In recent games, she has actually done well to make some kind of view of the game evident in her posts. When I spectated Mission Impossible, she was my very first town read.

DVM seems a little bit resistant to consensus at least with respect to posting attitude (perhaps what samac described as "pointy"), but their reads seem quite consensus. The three "getting sus" reads also come with "but" caveats.

As someone who hasn't played recently and hasn't played much with Clem in general, and currently has Clem square in neutral, can you elaborate on what obv!village Clem is?

Clem sometimes feels different when he's village. Sometimes he feels exactly the same as wolf and village. But he never feels different as wolf. He feels different now.

That one post moved the needle. It’s a town samac question.

She didn’t ask:

“Why is April okay to you?” or “What makes April seem okay?” or “Which April posts made you feel that way?” or anything like that. She also didn’t ask about my genny squints.

Those would be the generic questions that do not move the needle. They wouldn’t necessarily be suspicious questions; they’d just be NAI (not alignment-indicative for the newcomers). Mafia post those questions in every game.

Instead she asked if I have played with you before. That’s a different kind of question that I believe is less likely to occur to a mafia member trying to create generic engagement. She noticed one read right away, my read on you, and experienced an internal click of the light switch — can Jay have a real perspective on April? She hasn’t played much in recent memory. How would he know how she posts? So she asked. It’s not “impossible” for mafia to ask that question, but it’s less likely to be in their headspace IMO. It’s also very on-brand for town samac.

I recognize this is a bizarrely thorough read for such a simple samac post. But it spoke to me. Thus, I speak it to you.

Similar degrees of suspicion for genny and WildZoo and a desire to have a vote for WildZoo in the thread. She's been kind of under the radar compared to genny with respect to other players' reads of each of them.
