Death Nommy - Game Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I can even get behind fruitsalad being town and just having a different process than everyone else, but that would mean I'm misclearing at least one person and oof.

My three might be:

Indy, fruitsalad, [town read nobody will vote for]

or, if I am feeling zesty, the third could be Zenge

I agree. Her tone and content this cycle feel very good
And then there's SAR.

Such a bad read, no one knows Indy. 🥲

Note to self to look more closely at fruitsalad's analyses today when time permits

That is true, and I am still listening to what you have to say. I don't know anything.

Who would you say you trust the most and trust the least in this game right now?
Honestly I feel like PSV, DVMD, Samac, April all seem pretty solid. At least DVMD has suspected me from the beginning and hasn’t wavered 🤣

I know Indy.

Okay, I'm either about to make myself look like a genius and reinforce my self-perceived ability to read people like a book or I'm going to look like a complete idiot and be suspish. Either way,

Indy is a Wolf: A Literature Review (with overarching evidence vs specific posts because how are there 40 pages on this thread)

Now, as Indy has said, I do - of this group - know them best and I think that has given me an advantage. Their floundering is not just noob-ness, though that is a convenient excuse. Indy is the kind of person with big thoughts and feelings and a usual willingness to share them with others, if they perceive those others to be like minded. The lack of reads is not just noob-ish, it's strategic, as they need to come up with a really good reason to fake read a wolf. Some of that could potentially be intimidation by the fact that y'all are so comfortable with each other that trying to call any out may be seen as an offense to some others, but I'm leaning more toward they've been told to stay quiet and in the shadows by the wolfator or whatever we call them.

We've analyzed the flip-flop on JJJ. I could be convinced either way that it's wolfy or just a noob mistake. I think the difference between me with fruit and Indy with JJJ is I never changed my overall read of fruit. They have always been in my suspicion circle.

Indy also voted for me last night instead of clem, despite me being a strong village read this whole time and most of the village "leaders" of the thread suggesting a vote for clem made the most sense. I do think some of this is in retaliation to my suspicions/me being seen as a potential threat to them. I am not overanalyzing PSVs vote for me (yet), because it seemed a true attempt to start conversation and keep the hammer from dropping to keep the thread open.

Basically, my impression of Indy is that they're smart and analytical, much more like me than not. The cover of noob protects them and allows them to make wolfy mistakes and just Betty Boop "oops" it with minimal consequences. Most of their engagement has been around vote times and mostly in the form of memes and almost over done despair that they're a suspect. The fact that they have engaged primarily in defense tells me they're not trying to analyze village because they don't need to, they're a wolf. I think they're smart to play dumb, it's a good cover, but I read it as a nefarious cover.

I entertain questions and encourage peer review.

JJJ also asked for my reads list last night:

I do think that clem's intentions were for us to vote April. I don't think dubs feels like a good vote option. If there's a strategic reason to vote JX3 I could be convinced, but he is much higher on my "leaning town" list.

ETA: tagging isn't working but I'm sure he'll see this later.

I appreciate the casing effort, rae. I'm considering what you wrote, but I want to speak on this bit first.

I don't think it's a problem for Indy to "flip flop" on their read of me. Folks change their minds. I have changed my mind a hundred times in this game already. My concern is less that the read has changed and more that those changes map to specific contexts.

I am a wolf read when other people say I am a wolf read (earlier in the game).

I am a town read when I post a gif.

I am a wolf read again and I receive a vote when Stagg is getting wagoned. Indy's vote for me was consequential and could have killed me.

I am a wolf read now because I voiced suspicion of Indy. "I thought we were cool" -- were we really? When?

This doesn't look like a solving process to me. It looks like a series of reactions to game momentum. Indeed, it's not even much changing. The "town read" barely even existed.

I'm reading genny as wolf leaning at the moment, though I know she said she's not on as much on T/W and our view may change when she can engage more. So I'm giving her the slight benefit of the doubt right now, but she's like one foot into I think you're wolf territory and one foot out.

I think I otherwise stand by my order.

Let's do some gun to head reads. The thread isn't active enough to do them live as I'd like, so we can just do them on our own time.

For those unfamiliar, this involves stating a read on each living player without any room for "null" or "neutral" or "idk" or even degrees. It's completely binary. Everyone is either town or wolf. You must make a gut read one way or the other.

I think some of us are leaning too much on the middling tiers of reads that can go either way (I've done it too).

I'll give you a player list to copy and paste.

Gun to my head I want to change some of my reads but it's mostly vibes/my gut, so I'm going stay consistent I think. Indy, April, and genny are my most wolfy right now.

Zenge - town

PSV - town
Indy - wolf (locked in)
samac - town

fruitsalad - town

What do you want to see happen?

does that make zenge my dad or did shorty just sort of, parthenogenesis me into existence?

I just acquired vegan brownies.

They are better than normal brownies. I did not expect this outcome.
We used to get a non-dairy, gluten free, nut free cake from Whole Foods and we called it crack cake because there is no way on planet earth they made it that good without drugs involved.

Could you quickly summarize what leads you here?
I have adult responserbilerties or something but in a bit, yes.
