I’m going to disagree. I think there was plenty of discussion prior to the shot, and the timing allowed for plenty of discussion afterwards. Which seems village to me.

I was serious; the way he worded the comment sounded like he was butthurt about you questioning him about it. Because why act super defensive in response to criticism of someone else's decision?

eh, I'm trying to remember when, but we've definitely had the discussion (was it colorado? someone was a seer, and then the seer died, and the PM partner came under heat, and I'm pretty sure it might have included Mel and you?) that the PM partner of a dead flipped PR always comes under suspicion for being a wolf unless they can show that someone else could have known somehow, or it was possible to glean from the thread. Just another reason why outing PRs on the thread is a move you have to be very careful about doing as a villager, because it can it look wolfy af.

IIRC, the PM partner did leak it to the thread so that they could try to claim plausible deniability for the death, but it did end up being they were a wolf and responsible.

So I don't buy that you would just murder him in the dark silently and then take the heat from AM (also his PM partner and someone he might have confided in that he confided in you, for insurance) that you were behind it. But now you've implicated more than just yourself or AM for his NK for being vig, if that's what the wolves do.

but if pocketing means getting me to vouch for her or whatever, I’m not. I have a village lean in her, zero inside info, and maybe 2 PMs where she told me not to be discouraged from WW due to vet sass basically.

to be clear, while we are currently considering this a village vig kill, ANY PLAYER with kill powers is under heavy, heavy suspicion. There is no "hiding in plain sight" as a vig and being "soft-confirmed." Unless they shoot a wolf or otherwise appear above reproach, and even then, they're going to have a hard time making it end game, which having at least one wolf at endgame is the whole the win-con for the pack. I don't see how they won't end up being safety-yeeted before endgame. I see your logic, but it just wouldn't work.

It doesn't matter that much for what my point was, if Cyndia pocketed you or not, it's assessing whether or not she attempted to that matters most. Pocketing isn't just about getting a vouch, although that could be one result. Getting someone to mistake you for village, not vote you, and tell everyone you think they're village, is enough. It's only pocketing if they're a wolf. If they really are village then it's fine.

lol no it's not. If the vig is right it's good for village, if they're wrong then it's not. The end.

I will try to come up with a reads list, but not before bed. It will require me re-reading all my posts today to try to determine where I landed ultimately on people. I've got you as village, Pippy as wolf, Mel as 50/50, April I had moved village but Cyndia did a much better job articulating what she was doing earlier that was wolfy that I found wolfy when I voted her. I need to reassess the validity of that opinion then with where I moved to thinking she was more village later today. Dubz seems villagey to me, but I have to say that concerns me. Alissa and Barks I am torn on, partly because I don't trust myself to be impartial given their early defense of me, but I can appreciate what people are finding wolfy. SAR seems wolfy to me, but maybe it's because of the mild nature of her posts that I'm not ready to vote there. Those are my feelings, and maybe I need to be more clear that for me figuring out who I want to vote or who I suspect relies heavily on me sorting out my feelings about players from their feelings about me, and from logic.

I was trying to sus out if samac was a wolf based on what she had to say about your PM, in the case that you flipped villager. That's why I asked her.

I always open PMs especially when it's incumbent upon me for it to exist, in case someone wants to talk, but I don't usually do much by PM unless the other person initiates. Laziness, paranoia for the most part. I'm otherwise happy to chat too.

Telling me I'm not worth replying to... just sounds like you want to shut down communication. Because I'm not seeing where I didn't respond to you or what you have quoted. It seems like you want me to be super impressed with the fact that I called out Dubz early for something, which in context is different than what I did later, that you find "hypocritical" of me, and that's about it.

I'm still trying to understand your proposed wolf pack dynamics. Especially April/me/AM.

After the outcome of yesterday's discussion, the players were quick to set up makeshift tents among the city's rubble, wanting to put the events behind them. Some stayed close to their newly made friends while others kept to themselves.

As darkness fell, several figures dashed about. Someone thought they heard hoofbeats.

Morning dawned bleakly. Punctuated with screams.

AM rushed to Amanasoul's side. Upon seeing a savage sight, she turned her face away.

Cray's body was surrounded by barely dried blood. Her throat had been slashed to ribbons.

Dead is @Crayola227 , Bellamy Blake from The 100 who was a village healer, able to save a player from a wolf attack.

Not far from the body, a pile of ash remained. A red horse was nosing around for food nearby. AM squinted, the ash looked different from those produced by the lightning strikes yesterday.

Dead is @BigCats , War, one of the Four Horsemen who was a WOLF blocker, able to prevent a player from acting.

Another scream split the air.

Lightning struck yet again, taking two more from their midst.

Mod-killed is @mmmdreamerz , Wall-E who was a village mirror, capable of reflecting actions back on their senders.

Also dead from mod-kill is @Matthew9Thirtyfive , Lenina Crowne from Brave New World, a vanillager.

This made me think a little, is it really all that uncommon to ask a question like this? I tend to try to initiate conversation about the game and things along those lines. It could be to help the village or to wolf sniff, but that’s why you have to be especially careful with what you share and what you ask.

I think the sudden killing of Kras was not the smartest move if it was a vig kill, I think they should have waited a little longer to see how things played out through the rest of the day cycle, since there was still good conversation going on surrounding Kras.

YES. This. I am eating my words from yesterday about aligning with my PM partners, I am slowly becoming more sus of M935, they were extremely active in the noob game, and were village, I am thinking more of a wolf lean now

Was there a mod-kill from not meeting post minimums? Or can they be mod-killed for other reasons?
 
I feel like I can move Dubz way more village after that -- I don't think she'd sit on a vote for a fellow wolf in early game when that player spot (back when it was Stagg) was getting positive defense from a villager.

Makes me feel better about AM, too, tbh, although she did move her vote.

I wonder if mod kills will also be a regular thing given the apocalypse theme. They reiterated time is of the essence with exclamation marks and underlines.

Mod kills are outside of any game mechanics. Don't bother speculating on this. Check VCA and posts instead.
 
I’m able to keep up with the thread somewhat, but I’m on my phone so I can’t update my game notes on my computer. That was a huge write up to digest and analyze.

I don't think mod kills should be factored into game play. Mod kills are mod kills, they're a circumstantial management thing that mods do outside of the in-game "world". Players get killed for not following stated rules or because they ask to be let out of the game for personal reasons.
 
mod kills are outside game mechanics. Post minimums are in effect but sometimes I'm also benevolent and give players death if requested. When I have to use subs immediately, it's gonna be a rough one.

Didn't want you speculating too much. Write-up from Day 1 Part Deux has been updated to reflect that. Was in a hurry to get it posted last night, my apologies.
