I should have said, sounds like Snowy, but doesn't feel like Snowy. And that I would need to re-read the thread to figure that out. Also that as far as I was concerned, that was a very weak reads list I was producing on demand. It was just instant gut feel from a one time piecemeal keep-up with the thread, and not really backed up well from a reread.

Play styles change over time, mine certainly has since vmh last played. My point was that my being "more aggressive" has been brought up in multiple games recently. Can't remember if it came up when I was wolfing but it has definitely come up when I've been villaging.

And I was not thinking that vmh had checked with finn before making that comment, but hey, maybe she did.

But I still maintain my point. I'm not gonna dig through old games to see if you've truly gone aggro for good. If I'm totally off base I assume other villagers will scream about it or something

Ok, I have an exam this morning, then I have to go play either piglets for 6 hours. I may be back on for a little after the exam, but if not, I likely won’t be back until late.

Her play last night was just super weird. I’m still on board with the cray lynch, but others seem to think I’m seeing things that aren’t there.

I need to do a thorough thread re-read to put my finger on it, that's why I don't have a quote for you guys, but something was in the thread that gave me the worst gut feel I can remember having so far. It's not because they sound different in style, as I said. Something wasn't right. In the interest of voting earlier, this is what my gut has for you. Not just word vomit, but I can vomit votes, too. Or shyte them out. But in the interest of getting an early vote out there for y'all....

Still wary of Jil, AM, green eyes, Pippy, dds. I said why before, and I'm sure I'll have more to say later. (don't I always??)

Anyway, that's where I stand now.
 
Lynch LIS

The cadence of his posts has been off since D1, and interactions with Snowy yesterday felt vaguely like wolf-wolf to me.

Snowy's also mild wolf for me, but I want to keep discussion up. Jil is creeping up there a bit, too, and dubz started setting off subtle warning bells again yesterday. Green eyes's comments were megasketch, but noob, so giving her another grace day. AM... I'm still on the fence about; she's flip-flopping between wolf and village.

DDS talked more yesterday, so willing to set that aside for a bit.

Everyone else I have at neutral to leaning slight village at the moment.

One of the biggest exams of first year is tomorrow; I actually won't be on much today.

Vetmed seems pretty village, good insights, def. want to keep around cuz I can actually understand her thoughts... on the other hand... finnick was absent all day yesterday, and obviously no idea if they are chatting and just speaking as one or busy, etc, but last game that finn was a wolf, she seemed absent to begin with. So again, hydra makes me nervous but I'm still leaning heavy village based on vetmed. I have never played with her before though, so someone let me know if vetmed DOES NOT sound village. hasn't talked to me in PM, but I know that's Finns thing so whatevs

Crayola sounded odd day one but now sounds REALLY like cray. so neutral lean?

DDS is really hard to understand. I feel like I have no idea what he is saying sometimes, and find myself rereading for clarity, or skipping. so no rank on this one but sounds like others seem to think he's normal (minus Pips, but there might be history?) didn't respond in PM, no idea if normal

WZ doesn't seem as nervous as in other games? Usually she seems aggressive but also not sure of herself about her trust in others? Does anyone else see this? is this what STL was talking about with the "dumb" thing? I didnt really follow that.

STL and LIS seem too smart to trust ever.

Pips i trust her and AM inherently cuz they have been there for me in past games and this makes them seem dangerous. but pips seems peppy which seems like her. and yes, i think you have a WW "problem" :whoa::laugh:

Yesterday I felt like genny’s play has been chaotic at times. Not necessarily that she’s chaos, I’m just referring to her play. Then last night towards the end of lynch when she unlynched, created a tie, then made a weird comment about excitement or something, then waited and ended up breaking the tie again shortly before lynch close. None of that sat well with me. She was not high on my sketch list until yesterday afternoon.

Yeah I can see that reasoning. I have questions to follow up on this but first I want to ask:
@genny are you willing to talk about your tie making/breaking from last night?

Yeah I made the tie because Cray was being lazy about posting reads as soon as she seemed safe from lynch, so I thought she needed a little more pressure. She delivered some reads, kept sounding village to me. I figured the tie was only going to benefit wolves because it’s highly unlikely to net two wolves on a lynch, so I relynched FS after waiting an appropriate amount of time to see how the rest of y’all were going to react.

Be more specific, because I spent virtually ALL of last game analyzing WZ because I was so damn worried I was misreading her as village when I should have been lynching her, but in the end decided to go with my gut that she was village.

And as best I can tell, her play is pretty much the same.

So what are you seeing that's different?
 
I don't think WZ is playing much different than I usually see her play. Same amount of posting and same type of posting as what I'm used to... but that being said, she also plays very well as a wolf and I'm not sure I'd even be able to tell her wolf play from her normal play.

I can't tell if I'm missing something in regards to Cray, since I wasn't experiencing the thread in real time, but from what I've read, her play seems pretty normal to me.

AM is also reading a little off to me, compared to all other games I've played with her, but I can't quite put a finger on what it is right now. Definitely going to go back and read her posts a little more closely to figure out why I'm getting this impression. She always plays differently from most WW players, but her posts have just been diverging from what I'm used to a little too much.

Jil also read weird to me on D1, which is why I put my lynch where I did last night while I was catching up, but she seems to be acting a little less sketchy now.

GEG's insistence on cat pictures on page 6 is a bit much for me, but I'd be reluctant to lynch her this early just for that, since she's a noob. I also feel like it's a pretty extreme "mistake" for a wolf to make, and would imagine more experienced players on the wolf team would be guiding her a bit better than that? Having played wolf in my first WW game, I know I definitely leaned on the experienced players in the pack to help me cover my tracks if I said something weird, ask them what I should say to make it better... and GEG just kept going instead. I'm definitely not seeing wolf from her at this point.

Actually though, I didn't know anyone thought I ghost as a wolf. I felt like I posted the most in my single wolf game than I ever have as a villager (except during that me vs Rabbot dealio that went down in Mermaid).

I didn't catch that Dubz seems less nervous, as I've never felt that she plays "nervously," but that's an interesting perception.

Re: GEG, I feel like a wolf would be more likely to go back and double check. I feel as though a slip up mistake like that would be more likely made by a villager over a wolf. So that's what's putting her village for me.

Dubz is a really, really good wolf. She even routinely says she gets fewer votes as a wolf than as a villager. Scary af lol

I feel like it's dangerous to move her village unless she does something really truly spectacularly village. My paranoid personal opinion though 😉

And I get what you're saying here to some degree, but noob wolves have also gotten dismissed in recent games as just being nooby, and then they get to end game (which, as you pointed out, you should be well aware of because you won your first game as a wolf). Level of guidance depends on the make up of the pack -- if people aren't around, they aren't there to put the brakes on weird behavior. It also depends on the individual personalities. You had dubz and STL as wolf mentors -- not necessarily representative sampling 🙂

All this to say that I feel like you moved Greenies into strong village pretty quick given that she's only made like 3 posts.

Are we thinking of the same game? I remember you being absent enough during the early part vet clinic game to get called out repeatedly for low activity. The latter part, no, but I thought the distribution looked thin on the front end of things.

Don't get me wrong, I definitely didn't move WZ to village, because I'm borderline terrified of her. She was brilliant to play wolf with. I was just commenting that she doesn't seem different to me, as it seemed like a few people were questioning "different" play from her. 🙂

Your second statement has been noted though. I did have very good wolf mentors, and I actually didn't notice that she had made relatively few posts- my attention just happened to be drawn to the last few she made because people were questioning them.

I don't remember being called out for low activity, especially since there was like a 4-5 post minimum per day that game. Not saying you're wrong though; the main part I remember from that game was just the crazy stunt STL had me pull at the end... and also the fact that MJ got chided for his not meeting the posting restrictions.

All in all though, you're totally right to be calling me out right now for just... not existing... the first two(?) days of this game, that's my bad.

Even if it partially is, retaliatory votes are not always actually sketchy. We can play the WIFOM game if you want, but consider that it's probably more likely that I'd do something overtly sketchy when I don't care as much about the consequences. It's why I have genny sitting as slight village right now - when she's village she doesn't g.a.f.

But basically, this vote is because you like to go to extremes wrt me when you're a wolf -- either you try to get me lynched or you get hyperbolic with saying I'm a good player blah blah. Combined with the generalized feels I got off of some of your posts, it has me on edge. Plus, see earlier justification about why I'm voting for you instead of snowy right now.
 
AM and Jil both had single posts that raised major alarm bells for me, but I haven't gotten feels from the rest of their play so far. Keeping an eye there.

LIS voting to "protect" STL d1 struck me as...a little odd. Trying to pocket the super spy? STL only had two votes at the time, one of which was clearly a joke, so I don't get LIS voting specifically to take the "heat" off of him.

Pip's level of suspicion for me is normal and at this point a little boring 😉

I'm still catching up in my re-read so more on that later.
