Fire Emblem: Three HoWWses Game Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I’m trying to see how this is different from the Pirate Basics game though.
The one where the pack bussed genny D1?

Uh, there are two striking differences

The first being that I only bussed once in that game

The second being we only bussed her because all the wolves were on the board D1, someone had to go down, and the rest of us were going to fall like dominos without a bus

So, what is the comparison here? If I really needed the village cred, do you think I'd need to bus FOUR TIMES OVER for it?

Mirandas and Zenges were outted. Santy was heavily pursued by AM and made a claim that practically outted him. So my comparison is D2 in this game with D1 in Pirate Basics.

My vote was on Santy well before his claim

I don't remember when April decided to vote Santy. It could be explained by the fact that Santy had been pushing her all game, but if that was wolf theater, it also makes sense that it could be a good place to vote to distance herself without knowing that AM was gonna corral everyone on Santy later. But... yeah I don't know, she was first on PlumPoppy too
Santy pushed me early in the game but flipped his read at some point and started village reading and defending me at least a day or two before his flip

Yes but it was AM who was practically laying onto him (with some help from chics), so wolf!you could sense that Santy would be in danger and blended into the wagon early on.
I'm honestly a little hurt that I'm even a consideration given the game I've played when we have two people who are still, as far as I'm aware, well within the POE who haven't been flipped yet.

April was on Santy before AM pursued him and before he claimed

Night 6: Fodlan's New Dawn

"We're attempting our own miracle, so it seems like a suitable symbol for us. So... Until we welcome the dawn of a new age in Fódlan... Let's fight to the very end, as one, under the symbol of the Crest of Flames!"

A meeting was called at Garreg Mach. And with it, a ceasefire. The leader of the Leiscester Alliance had landed his Wyvern outside and took his place at the head of the table. On each side, another crucial hand in the war. Rhea sat across from him. To the left and right, his former classmates Edelgard and Dimitri.

It wasn't hard to convince the church to side with the Alliance, but the others took some some patience from the Master Tactician.

"You and I, we want the same thing for Fodlan," he had told Edelgard. And it was true. A country free of prejudice, where it didn't matter if you were from Duscur or Almyra or Brigid: you could live safely. And a land where being of noble birth or bearing a crest didn't decide your dreams for you. Where a commoner could serve in the law, and noble houses were just for show.

Dimitri turned savage from the events leading up to the war and was more than happy to point a spear at Claude during negotiation attempts. It took several tries and contacting Dimitri's close confidantes to finally navigate a way safely. Dying would defeat the purpose of unifying Fodlan.

It would take time for the wounds of war to heal, but finally after many months and countless messengers lost, Claude had finally achieved what he'd set out to do. Together, the four of them would rewrite history and bring peace to a land that had known war for too many years.

Those Who Slither in the Dark are Eliminated
Claude has united Rhea, Dimitri, and Edelgard.

Village now acts as a united front.

Golden Deer (and united Village) Win!

@chicandtoughness and @Aprilthearab also met their win conditions!

Win Conditions:

Black Eagles: Eliminate Church and Lions
Blue Lions: Eliminate Black Eagles and TWSITD
Church: Eliminate Black Eagles and TWISTD
Golden Deer: Eliminate TWSITD and locate the three other factional leaders to form a peace treaty.
Ashen Wolves: Factional Survivorship
Nemesis: Eliminate Church and survive to endgame
Dorte: Be a horse. Don't get killed.
Manuela: Successfully protect one player from each main faction*

*Manuela, being the alcoholic she is, had a 25% chance of passing out drunk before she could successfully protect someone

Accessory Mechanics:

-If all leaders were found by Claude before one of them dying, the game would become a normal Village vs Wolf WW game. You guys happened to eliminate all the wolves first so game ended immediately as soon as @StartingoverVet found the last leader.

-If all wolves were eliminated, Edelgard (@genny) gained the ability to perform night kills.

-As soon as one factional leader was eliminated, remaining factional leaders would be able to search for and recruit other players. Some players were un-recruitable (factional leaders, Seteth, Dedue, and Hubert). UNFORTUNATELY, this never came into play.

Additional fun fact:

@StartingoverVet was (for reasons unknown to me) strongly suspecting @genny was a factional leader but holding off on contacting her, instead looking for Dimitri. Had he found Dimitri first, @holdthemayo 's PGO would have gone off and killed SOV before he was able to contact genny. Claude, as a matter of fact, did not have a death avoidance.

Mod Note:

Thank you for playing my game. I've been wanting to run this for a very long time. There are a lot of things I would change if I ever ran a factional game again, but my only hope is that you guys had fun and it was something a little different than the ordinary around here.

This game was balanced as a factional game. There are definitely things I could have/want to change, but were unforeseen before the game actually started. Please read dead chat and I will go into this in more detail around page 20 or something. But basically, it was not balanced in such a way for everyone to wolfhunt (even against their wincons at times), so that threw things a little bit and made the game very difficult for wolves to win.

Additionally, there were mechanical pieces in place to discourage role/faction claiming and gamesolving from those pieces, HOWEVER some of them did not trigger, and others were in the hands of players and not necessarily used. I especially go into this in detail in dead chat, please read it if you're curious and I can answer questions there, I just don't really want to repeat myself since I've lost sleep over how some things didn't go as I planned lol.

Overall, I'm very happy to have finally run this thing that's been brewing around in my head for ages, but I'm most happy that it's inspired some people to pick up the game for the first time and others to replay it for possibly the 500th time. Three Houses got me through COVID and vet school and gave me a lovely little world to escape into where I loved the characters as my own. It warms my heart to see people share in something that I love so much.

VANILLA PONY WAS NOT WOOF @ ALL THE DOUBTERS
Aprils pls it was meant to be a test of village loyalty :bag::sorry:

Because i was hoping genny could reject the peace deal and we could strike a deal with SOV, Clems and Wispy to completely ambush mayos, mothy, fluffy and alleys :vamp::cat::shy:

Lawpy pls mothy/fluff/alley village pls
Mayo you maybe could have convinced me

My night protects:

N1 - Dubz (GD)
N2 - Zenge (wolf)
N3 - attempt on Lawpy but hydrated too hard
N4 - self
N5 - genny (BE)
N6 - mayo (BL)

Literally didn’t help anyone, protected a wolf, barely hit my wincon. Drunk physician sounds about right. #premedlife

Everyone: "So let me tell you everything"
#NeverPunished

Village was acting united and factions ignoring their wincon since the start, so no change fr.most of them at all hmmyes.

Loved the flavor ofcourse and all the effort put into the game, but as the faction who was the most harmed by factions well, not really following their wincons and just outing even tho it was warned against, seeing them all win gives mixed feeling.

Anyways, it was fun and for sure villagers had for sure killer reads even with heavy mech help, I think stuff like chic's vote one were really killer imo.

Probably have thoughts to share but that will be for another day for another less sleepy santy. STILL SAD that I didnt rand Blue Lions. Dropping clues of being Constance and also pulling her in feh was peak. Or me killing the Hapi role in the day of Hapi's birthday woweee

Well sure, but fully half your votes were for wolves, so don't be too hard on yourself 😁

You kicked ass this game though! Seriously well done! Protection roles are always a wifom battle of what you think the wolves are going to do and what you think the wolves think a potential protector in the game is going to do.
