Fire Emblem: Three HoWWses Game Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Wow it's so fun to come on thread and find out that despite your best efforts everyone in the game knows your faction AND your ability. :yeahright:

Anyone want my social insurance number while we're at it? I'm sure someone will happily share that too :smack:
I felt that when I came onto the thread and saw Wiisp just like "And also, April's a goddamn horse"

Not that it's comparable to your role outing though.

Zenge tries very hard to not bus, but we don’t know if the same is true for Poppy. Idk something just seems off about his tone and the fluff “reveal”
There’s a difference between a regular bus and a “sot on your partner in a near-close tie” bus, though. I’ll always assume the latter didn’t happen unless someone’s acting real wolfy or their eventual yeet was inevitable

So I'm assuming your Zenge read has changed to more villagey?

Yes, but I could also see the argument being that poppy voted for Zenge as a safe place to keep her vote and didn’t expect a wagon to build up. Once the wagon built up it could’ve looked suspicious to jump off of him with little reasoning.

I don’t know if that’s likely but I know it’s happened to wolf packs I’ve been in before

You mean wolves could fakeclaim a faction and vouch for other wolves? Sure. Same way they can fakeclaim masons in any other game
There's a huge difference between fakeclaiming masons in a closed setup vs a mountainous game. Ya get my drift?

I can see a case for either tbh.

I’m thinking over what AM mentioned about not using flavor like an AI tool
I just don't see it. Zenge's frustration feels village and I don't think Poppy bussed him. Fluff's responses, regardless of whether or not I agree with them, have seemed village in how straightforward and non-reactionary they are.

I don’t think she would have been encouraged by the pack to sit on someone at all without at least interacting with them

I in fact don’t 🥲
In a game where flavor = affiliation, what do you think happens to anyone who "vouches" for a flipped wolf?

In a game where flavor is independent of affiliation, what do you think happens to anyone who "vouches" for a flipped wolf?

A) they’re outted, like they would be if they vouch for a fellow wolf as a mason

B) soft sus

Big difference in terms of winnability, yes? Now explain to me again how wolves could fakeclaim a faction if flavor = affiliation?

They could fakeclaim any faction. I highly doubt every villager in a faction has someone who can vouch for them, and suspect they’re in the minority

Any faction? So they could say "I'm from the pickle faction" and another vouches for that. You leave them be, correct?

(Oh miranda's here. Do you have other thoughts?)

Probably an in-game faction. Like for eg a wolf could say “I’m from the black eagles” or even “I’m from the church”. Since even I, who knows who is in my faction, am making assumptions that I know everyone in my faction. If a wolf came out and said something like that, I’d be sus but I’d let them be until they do something wolfier.

I don’t understand how that’s been used this game. To me it only means paying yourself or saying totally wild ****.
(I've seen it used as "unreachable", but idk maybe that's not very common anymore. Definitely more often used in a money context)

What's the fun in that?

But if you must know, I'm vanilla. I didn't do anything, because I couldn't do anything. 🤷‍♀️
(Were you in the thread for EOD yesterday? I don't remember)

So you're acknowledging that claiming you're a part of a faction doesn't mean anything for affiliation.

No read on Veg today. They've been quiet, which doesn't rub me one way or the other. They also voted miranda, so if they are wolf, that seems like a bus maybe, but also the wolves might know Mir was going to be yeeted today anyway.

I don't think you're going to give me the option to defend myself. I'm not about to role reveal to appease just you, either.
Well you defending yourself isn't really something that matters to me, so. I also didn't ask you to role reveal or suggest you should lol

@Clem J , just curious if you have read your role PM and know who is in your faction.
Your play is hard to analyze and I wonder if you know or care. Again, Just curious.
Yes, one person, I know/don't particularly care most of the time

You know Wisp a lot better than most of us here.

Can you point me to your post explaining why he’s wolfing or give a tldr?
I think his reaction to genny not going over is borderline outing

Caveat this isn't a Guaranteed Correct Read there are some mitigating circumstances, but

(What about it? Do you think he knew she wouldn't die? Or that he was frustrated a misyeet didn't go through?)

I never debated that. But in the cases, which I suspect are uncommon to rare, where people can vouch for each being in the same faction from initial role PM, that should be taken as a mason claim. They could be lying and both wolves, one could get converted, but at the start of the game they were in the same gameplay faction. There’s more “masons” than would be balanced in a typical game because the factional infighting makes things more dangerous for villagers, especially those who do this thing and claim factional alliance with each other.

So you're acknowledging that claiming you're a part of a faction doesn't mean anything for affiliation.
Yes, claiming factions is easy. However, flips are different. If another wolf flips and they are part of TWSiD, I'm going to assume there's no infiltration and that ppl mechanically outed for belonging to any other faction are cleared.
