Wow. This is going to be another fun, interesting WW game! Can't believe there are so many things going on at one time!

Sorry I missed the vote for spokesperson ... But Abney would have gotten my vote for sure! 😍

Did anyone get investigation items approved and care to share results?

I cleared someone, but won't say anything unless they come up for lynch.

I'm... not sure how to interpret this. I get that we make our own items and all, but why would you ask if someone would share investigatory results and then come out to say you cleared someone? The first part I understand; it's nice to have solid info on a wolf. The second bit is what is making me :eyebrow:

Combine that with the fact that my item use was also successful and that rule 3.1 states that
But we will say this: don't even consider trying to get 20 investigations during one night; your 'side' won't get more than one. Maybe two, depending on how compelling your submissions are and what kind of mood we're in.
...we were either both super compelling or you are a wolf.

I'm not sure which is more likely this early in the game. So I'm going to hold my vote for now and look over things again in the morning.

I was asking if anyone wanted to share... I then offered that I successfully cleared someone but didn't want to announce it... That is common in these games.

Besides that, since the rules clearly state that few investigations will be successful for each group, why would I then state I had a successful investigation if I was a wolf? That would be just plain stupid.

I can see where you're thought process was going, however.

Yeah that's true. I guess I was just thinking that in most WW games the wolves have a different role than the villagers. Which doesn't seem to be the case in this game.

I kind of assumed that there were animal rights activists that might be dangerous based on the initial writeup and well, they would be the most likely to have it out for mushers, even 'posing' as them. Just early theories, nothing to hang a hat on.

And damn Jam you're always suspicious eh?

Animal rights activists as bad guys? I could totally see that. Good thinking.

Well you made it out like I was a leper when you joined the game...

I just want to say that I investigated someone last night using a lantern, though I should probably learn to write a better description for my items (it might give me better results). I don't know exactly what this person did, so I can't say if them leaving their camp in the middle of the night was an innocent action or not. I don't think it's worth lynching at this moment. I've still got time, so we'll see what else comes out between now and an hour or so.

I created an item last night... mainly to tea the dynamics of the game. I wasn't sure if my item would be RNGed to a random person or not. I wanted to get an item in before I missed out. I didn't really have the time to ask the mods how the whole thing worked.

Also... avalanches do exist :/

I am relieved there were no deaths last night. But I got nothing for anyone at this moment.

I'm going to go shopping for toys for puppy and kitten before I start feeling too crappy today. I'll try to check back before the deadline, but for now
Lynch Jam
It's the fishiest thing at the moment to me, but I'll try to be back later in case I need to change my vote.

I don't know. I think it's a good thing to say that you cleared someone if you investigated someone. You don't need to out them right away, but if you die, then at least someone might be able to say "Oh so-and-so investigated me on such a night."

I feel that leaving their camp in the middle of the night may be suspicious, because whoever ambushed me would not have been at their camp. I know it's not definitively a wolfy action, but just a thought since we don't really have any other info.

my thinking on this is evolving...

I feel like with protection ability, it is slightly better to have a cleared list, to know who to investigate, who to protect, and be efficient

If the wolves are dumb enough to attack the cleared people it is easier to block them.

certainly wouldn't disclose roles, but i am starting to feel like maximum info is best for villagers.

As a mod, I see the same people investigated over and over again, it is a waste of valuable resources.

In the past, I was more like, don't disclose at the beginning, just pick someone you trust... but that is more for an investigatory role... and in this game, I am not sure if there are any roles like that.

True. However, this early in the game I'd like to wait until the effects of the avalanche pass and I can pm within my group again. I don't want to put up someone for lynch just because of this. It could be wolfy, but it could also be a good thing for us villagers.

But right after the first night? Not usually. And asking if anyone wanted to share = fishing for information to me. As for your second point -- it wouldn't be the first time a wolf has done/said something "plain stupid". People don't always read the rules carefully

😱 I doubt the mods would give us villagers 3 investigations in one night, so this either incriminates Jam more or incriminates you, orca (and any of you could argue that it incriminates me as well). Unless seeing a player leave their camp doesn't count as an investigation?

Are there other reasons someone could be leaving their camp? Like doing something good?

Also, I want a cute picture under my name but I don't know how to do that. Any help?

Yes, because someone watched over my camp last night on a good way. Not a trying to see me naked way.

You could say that. Not a wolf here though. And I'm not really sure it is an investigation. I don't know roles or even what the person was doing. I just asked to watch over their camp and see if they left or not.

Not sure who to lynch, but I'd better vote so that the day can be over and the horrible events of avalanche will have passed. Ummm...lynch hedgie for no good reason at all.

Can't I play one game in peace? More and more problems. Christmas week just needs to be over. 🙁

Thought Jam's comment was weird too. It's been said in many games that it seems wolfy - and has turned out that way before. Why do it again?

I want to get a vote in before I leave for the day. I think the lantern see-if-someone-left-camp sounds more like a tracker than an investigation, so it's possible we could have gotten that and two investigations. Even if two investigations are kind of unlikely. For now, I'm just going to RNG: lynch cuit.

I agree that maximum info is best for villagers, but I dunno. There's no guarantee that players on a cleared list would be protected (people assume someone else will do it, etc.) or that different players would be investigated (judging from how much people seem to read the thread sometimes). Also, it's a toss-up who gets to do what each night since we all try to submit items.

So I'm not sure it's automatically more efficient.

Wait, cuit was the one who pointed out that Jam's investigation was kind of fishy. They're both on my list, but I don't want to lynch either of them yet. unlynch cuit

*****lynch jam****** something suspicious is better than nuffin

I figured out how to add a picture under my name!

I wish that helped me decide who to vote for though. This is a lot different than playing regular mafia.

LIS said he might accept 2 if they were clever enough, right? Could they both have been that clever on the first night? LIS, are you trying to mess with us? I dunno, now they are both suspicious to me and I don't know which one is more so.

Lynch Nohika (RNG)

***Lynch Jam*** too because it is better than nothing :/

Ok. Well I'm getting to work and I'm not sure what the schedule looks like but I'll check as often as I can. I'm not ready to jump on the Jam bandwagon. It could just be a bonehead move right? Like she didn't think about what it would sound like? I dunno.

So ****lynch SOV**** for no reason except he'll still love me for lynching him for no reason lol.

Well, it looks like Jamrockin is our best bet. lynch jamrockin

Lynch Jamr0ckin.

Would've thrown my vote in earlier but a billion things needed radiographed all at once.

I'm not entirely on the jam bandwagon, I really think she was just hoping someone investigated and found a wolf.

I hate RNG, but I have to vote for someone, so RNG says lynch Trematode.

I guess it's better than random lynching.
lynch Jam

I don't know why I'm up for lynch when I came out with information. I found out someone has a very good role, and can out them, but that won't help anyone but the wolves.

What I said is not suspicious.. It was supposed to be helpful!

My item was creative and so I got it approved.

This bandwagoning is a little ridiculous.

I'm not really sure about it either, to be honest, but I'd rather go with some level of suspicion over the RNG.

Forgot my lynch vote.

RNGed the other people up for lynch, and got *****lynch FH*****

Most of us don't have roles, though. The odds of you investigating someone with a role on the first night don't seem like they'd be that high... but I guess nothing's impossible.

Out of curiosity -- when did you send your PM to the mods?

I'm asking because the mods said item approval was based on creativity and whoever got their PM in first. Or something like that.

lynch BT

not feeling the jam bandwagon, or the "jamwagon" if you will.

LIS, are you trying to mess with us?

Who, me?

If someone wouldn't mind doing a count, I'm tied up at the moment but will be able to close the lynch in 20 min.

Night will close when PMs have been received or at 7pm, whichever is first.

If PMs are received quickly I'd love to get another lynch in today and turn the 7pm deadline into a lynch deadline. I don't want to go later than that for the overseas people.

*****lynch jam******
Swamped at work caught up on posts until about 830.

Unofficial vote count:

Jam (142) - wildcatj, FH, wldlfstdnt, trematode, BT, vetgirl4eva, cuit, swings, hedgie
EC (15) - SOV
Foxhunter (32) - EC, jam
Nohika (16) - WS
SOV (16) - Abney
BT (31) - PP, FFM
Trem (10) - JJ

I think that's accurate (and am assuming that # of dogs = # of votes; those took a while to tally).
