Yea I’m starting to get REALLY concerned like I didn’t even get waitlisted.

does anyone find that the professors aren't as available to students because they are so involved in research?

I think there is no rejections at this point, only acceptance or waitlist. But very strange that we haven’t gotten out decisions
Yea!

Nothing here either, hoping that means it isn't a rejectionYep, still nothing
well they don't reject people once they get to interviews, so i think youre safe 😉Nothing here either, hoping that means it isn't a rejection
it's possible they're still having issues like they did for interview invites?I’m just wondering why we haven’t gotten anything yet like any news.
Oh wow I didn't know that! I feel much better now hahahawell they don't reject people once they get to interviews, so i think youre safe 😉
yep! so at the very least you're waitlisted!!Oh wow I didn't know that! I feel much better now hahaha
yes thank youI would be dumb to spend $20,000 more annually.
Anyone heard anything?
Anyone heard anything?
I just got an acceptance letter from Illinois! I thought we weren't supposed to hear until March

Accepted IS! Does anyone know if the acceptance form is attached to the email or does that come in the mail with the official papers?

Did you just receive the email or did you just see it??
I imagine you'll get an official one in the mail to send in if it's not attached to the email you guys were sent.
Same lolOkay because in the email it says an attached form but nothing was attached to my email![]()
is the atmosphere at illinois cutthroat? or are people open about sharing notes and study guides?
thank you all! also i know you start clinical rotations first year but do you actually get to do hands-on stuff or do you just kind of stand back and watch the older students/faculty?
i'd wait until monday and give them a call if you haven't heard anything. they were having problems with the interview invites and times, so it's very likely that they're having the same issues again. If I still haven’t heard anything what should I do/assume?

yeah very unlikelyI guess if I called tomorrow no one would be there to answer being it’s a Saturday.
yeah very unlikely
This is so frustrating
I tried to message you/go to your page but it doesn't allow me too. I was accepted to two schools and waitlisted at another. Definitely not going with the waitlisted school, but I'm having a really difficult time deciding. Hbu?Anyone IS accepted that has been accepted to other school(s) and still unsure of where to choose? Please DM me lol
What schools are you between?i'm also having trouble deciding!
Sorry! Just messaged you!I tried to message you/go to your page but it doesn't allow me too. I was accepted to two schools and waitlisted at another. Definitely not going with the waitlisted school, but I'm having a really difficult time deciding. Hbu?
Wow yeah, it is crazy! Good luck, I'm sure you'll make the best decision for you personally.LMU and illinois...so completely different haha

Go to the cheapest school. You may think one is your “dream school” but you do NOT get any accurate view of the school just by touring. It’s not worth extra debt to go somewhere for FOUR YEARS that you think is super awesome because it may not be what you thought it was once you get there. Go for wherever is cheapest total cost of attendance with tuition/fees AND housing/cost of living.i'm also having trouble deciding!
Nope. Only way to change residency is if you marry a resident who makes more than the cost of tuition or something like that. Can you claim residency in Illinois at all when in vet school? And is there a Facebook page or anything for accepted students?
yea, it seemed really weird since I only interviewed on MondayDid it just come into your email?
Everyone interviewed Monday. Illinois only holds one interview day.yea, it seemed really weird since I only interviewed on Monday
I was already a resident coming in to school so I haven't gone through the process personally, but my understanding is that it's incredibly difficult (impossible really) to become a resident while in school here unless you are married. The primary criteria for becoming a resident is that you/your household (ie spouse) need to make an income greater than your annual (OOS) tuition bill. So, if you're OOS, your best bet is having a spouse who makes ~$50k+. Otherwise it's not really going to happen unless you find the world's most generous part time job for the summer. Can you claim residency in Illinois at all when in vet school? Some people walk/bike and maybe a tiny tiny few take the bus (the bus is a little obnoxious because only one line comes to the vet school and it doesn't come more than 1-2x per hour so if you miss it or if it's running late, it can really screw things up). I'd say 90% of us drive- parking is $660/year, which is frustrating, but the convenience of having a car and being able to live slightly further away (ie lower rent) is invaluable in my opinion.Where do most students live? Do most drive?
