Oh boy...here we go again. SOV vs. Philliab Round 2 (just joking)

This would be the dumbest thing in the world for a wolf to do the first lynch. 🙄

Here's something I don't get...so you came out to say that it you get your items, you win the game like day 2. Why would the wolves keep you alive if you weren't on their side?

You asked to me investigated...I used the investigatory item on you. That's exactly what it said.

I was protected by the car perhaps.
But I assumed my plea to be protected would scare off the wolves. I certainly wouldn't attack an almost definitely protected player the night they ask to be protected.

What I said on day 1 was an honest mistake. I quickly skimmed the thread before bed and thought for a second that I had signed up with group 1 instead of group 2.
I'll go to the point of telling my role if it buys SOV some time (I donno if he is a wolf or not but deserves a shot)

I had to quickly catch up on the PM the mods sent me about my role, figure that out and skim a page worth of posts because I had no freaking clue the game had started this fast. I saw SOV had the most mayor posts and went for it so I could at least get that in before the election was over.

I took your advice and investigated you last night with the thermal laminator. Turns out you are an Electrical Engineering trying to build some contraption. But the results also said I also sensed that you are a wolf, which makes a lot of sense after Trem's comment yesterday.

Based on that comment and the ones after, you assumed SOV and I are in a group together and if he is a wolf, I'm next.

I am lynching SOV based on the fact that the investigatory item came back saying that I sensed he was a wolf. That's the only information I have at this point in the game.

I'll try to check back in tomorrow morning to see if anyone else has better info before I go to work. Unless something big happens, my vote stands.

BS...I told you exactly what the investigation said from my very first post. No...it did not say you ARE a wolf. It said that I sensed you are a wolf. I can only go by what the mods told me.

Why would the mods put that in my results if it isn't true? If it was a lie than that would only mean the death of 2 villagers (you and me) from one investigation item. I can't imagine the mods working that way...doesn't it seem a bit wolfy biased to you?

I am curious about this contraption I was told you are building.

But...like you said...I've shared my investigation results. People are free to vote how they want to vote.

I received an "anonymous letter" last night telling me to beware those who tell too much about themselves. Since at that point, SOV was the one who had posted the most about himself, plus philliab's device doo-dad...that's what I'm going with. Also, I'm a villager, sooo I'm going to assume "beware" = "wolf".

Absolutely. Group 2 members are prohibited from using their role abilities and from PM'ing each other (and the mayor, SOV) at the moment, but they are encouraged/expected to participate in the thread and vote in the lynch! They also are able to use any objects in their possession during the next night cycle.

Consider the 2 scenarios.

1) I told the truth (which is the truth🙂)
In this case, lynching me is really stupid of course. What about the investigation? 2 possibilities I can see.
a) Most likely scenario is the wolves need to do whatever they can to get rid of me because I am a real danger, and while I have protection I can steal the game for the villagers. So they have to sacrifice one of their own to lie about an investigation and get me lynched. This is what I think Phil is doing, and she is trying the "sense a wolf" thing to try to worm her way out of being lynched when I am shown to be a villager.
b) the investigation results are not correct due to some game mechanic we don't understand.
Either way, YOU WOULD NOT WANT TO LYNCH ME...

2) I lied.
If you do not lynch me today.. .you lynch Phil instead. You kill a villager, but you won't pass me any spare parts, or protect me, so if I had some evil plan it is foiled anyway, and you only lose an ordinary villager.

The thing is, even if you believe the false investigation results, you still have to see that the risk of losing such an important player is worth waiting a day to lynch me. Wolves wouldn't gain much an advantage to stay alive one more day...... You all know my role which was CONFIRMED by the investigation, but the villagers could greatly be benefitted by lynching Phil, and hopefully she is a lying wolf, and then you can all trust me again.

Admittedly if the investigation is suspect instead, you end up lynching 2 villagers, but if the investigation is suspect, it is only the order that will change as Phil is going down if I am lynched first as a villager anyway. So there is really no loss here.

So please ask yourselves.... isn't it worth it to hold off on lynching me and see if we have a desperate lying wolf on our hands. And even if the investigation itself is the problem, maybe doing another investigation tomorrow will throw some light on the problem, and I can be saved and regain your trust, and throw the balance to the villagers.

This is incredibly frustrating to be given such an amazing opportunity and it is all going down for some inexplicable reason (should have known the mods wouldn't make it that easy)....

Why would a PM tell you that you sense so-and-so is a wolf?

I'm actually still hesitant to vote SOV. Why? Because I don't think role title matters. If someone were to investigate me and make a judgement based on my role name alone, I can assure you that people would cry wolf on me too. I have a feeling this game is f***ed like that.

I am going to bandwagon for now. Hope you're right about SOV.

Not on this bandwagon for SOV at all. Crafty or not, there is no way I would out myself like he did asking to be attacked. And the argument of "Why didn't the wolves attack him" is completely moot as at least ONE person out there would have protected him last night...if not more. He said he got away in a car, that sounds like something that this game would have and I tend to believe it.

Next, he is asking for a bunch of items to complete something which sounds like a pretty solid villager mechanic, I can't see a wolf having a role like that at all.

Asking to be investigated while being a wolf is crazy especially on day 1. I could see a wolf saying something like that later on in the game in hopes that all of the investigators are dead but not at this point.

We don't know anything about Phil other than they say they used an item that was very ambiguous as to if SOV was a wolf or not. That sounds fishy as hell me. It would give Phil the ability to say "HE'S A WOLF" then when SOV turns out to be a Villager, they could just be like "Whooooops, SORRY SOV, the PM DID say you might be a wolf, so I went with it" giving them a way to try and wiggle their way out of it.

Just going to throw this out there: since I told y'all I had the investigator (which I realized makes me a wolf target), I am open on suggestions on who is next. But I do have a weird feeling that knowing someone's role title is going to make difficult to determine if they are "wolffish" or not. Unless their role title is "Crazed Axe Murderer" or something.

Not a lie, a speculation. We don't know if items are guaranteed to be passed off each night, we just assume. Since you've said you have it tonight, which I tend to believe, I'll agree that Phil is not an investigator permanently and we risk less in lynching Phil than SOV.
