You went to school right next to me actually. So you must know the projects I'm talking about. The mission hill ones. We'd get texts constantly from school about them to stay away they were smack up against our biomedical building.

I'm also a small somewhat defenseless person , that people have a tendency to approach. Like constantly. Idky.. so my experience may have been different. I also didn't live on campus so was constantly at train stations which are not exactly the safest places around.

I graduate northeastern in 05. And now I’m back. It’s changed a lot. My rbf is strong but people seem to assume I know things so I get asked for directions a lot. I dunno. I used to wander around alone a lot. Never Columbus Ave or Mission Hill but I spent a lot of depressed alone time in the Fens, or by the Christian Science Center etc I never really felt unsafe doing it. I worked nights in restaurants and movie theatres and walked home alone and never thought twice about it.

Lol I can have a rbf to.. ive been told I'm intimidating. But also not I guess. Depends in the setting. Mostly creepy men approach me. But girls are scared to. Yea I was there in 2014 to 2018 so big time difference. Definetly possible life has changed. A lot.
 
Hey guys, I am a current vet student at LIU! First, congratulations to everyone that has been accepted so far. To those of you that are still waiting to hear back, stay positive and hopeful! I've seen a couple messages regarding housing and I actually have a house 5 minutes from campus with another vet student here, but are looking for roommates next year. Like the other vet student said, we are in the process of putting together a group of current students, but feel free to message me if you have any questions or are interested in this off-campus housing. I can also provide my email over DM!

Hey! Rent is definitely one of the things I'm concerned about. I got accepted to LIU and UPEI, and UPEI seems to be considerably cheaper. Do you find that LIU is more expensive than other vet schools? And how much do you pay in rent? Thanks! 🙂

I haven’t heard anything either. I feel like mine went well as well. I think everyone who hasn’t heard is waitlisted? Has anyone received a rejection yet? I am still holding out hope and think within a few weeks we should know where we stand.

You could always email them for a timeline? But I think its in the deans hands right now. Cause the person who emailed acceptances was the dean. So not sure they would know.

Brookville is a pretty nice area. I live in Brooklyn so not very far but I may be looking to move closer to the school due to the commute. I reserved my spot as well. Can we make a whatsapp to start getting to know each other!!!?

A few of my coworkers who also applied havent heard anything yet at all. Im the only one, doesnt hurt to reach out and ask. I would think it would be a positive thing because it shows your very interested. Squeaky wheel and all that

Whatsapp or maybe telegram? Or maybe there's a way to make a group chat from the fb group not sure...
I feel like fb messenger might be easiest since it doesn't require us posting our phone numbers 😅

So if we interviewed in the first round - the 5th-9th or whatever (I think someone said we were the top 350 people or so) and haven’t heard anything...is that a rejection? Are they sending waves of acceptances? I’m so confused honestly. Again, I thought my interview went extremely well, obvs not lol

Someone else said they heard the rest of us were on the waitlist. Whooo knows.

Hey guys!!! super excited to hear about acceptances. I am a current LIU student and the social media officer for the shelter med club. we just started but please follow us on insta. Yes we sent them casper. Another round of invites is supposed to go out tomorrow. A lot of us interviewed and haven't heard one way or another, but someone mentioned hearing that means we're waitlisted.
 
Just finished my fafsa. Waiting for email for further action I guess in 3 to 5 days. Apparently there is no pell grant for graduate school (come on fafsa us poor people get an education to) anyways heres hoping there's some other grants that maybe are similar? Hmm

Many people will most likely receive offers elsewhere possibly a more affordable/in state offer in which they choose to attend. So LIU is anticipating that many of the 130 people may be taking offers to another school. So there is definitely still a chance for acceptance!
 
this is a really dumb question, but does clicking "accept" when you log on for the first time mean you're accepting your seat?
