The facilities are definitely newer than some other schools - one of my friends recently toured an older school and mentioned that LMU's facilities/equipment/etc. is much newer/up to date than that school. The other school's tour guide even mentioned this, saying that some of it was due for an upgrade. That being said, because LMU is a fairly new veterinary school, that can come with some drawbacks too. The curriculum seems to change fairly frequently for my class in particular, but I believe it may have been at least partially in preparation for rolling admissions. As for the faculty, they're all really supportive and seems to genuinely care about the students and their well-being, success, etc. As for housing, I believe pricing will be going up with the incoming students, but it's much cheaper than what I was paying back home (granted that was a much larger city). I would highly recommend signing a lease with a more official rental business rather than going with a private landlord - several of my friends have had issues with private landlords. TN does not have any mold laws, so I would be cautious on that front, especially with basements. There is also the option to live in the university housing, which I don't have experience with. I will say that a common complaint among students is that there really isn't much to do in town, unless you enjoy hiking (which there are countless trails around here due to the National Park), but honestly that isn't a huge deal for me personally because of all of the time spent studying.
