Does this mean there will be 25 additional spots available for American applicants in the current 2014-2015 application cycle, the entering class of 2015? If so, our chances of admission have increased.
 
Is MSUCOM pretty receptive to update letters? I'm thinking of updating them with some of my volunteer experiences I've done over the past few months and how it all fits in with their mission.
 
Are you sure they met on the 30th? I know they met on the 23rd and two weeks from then would be this thursday. At least I'm hoping that is when they meet.
 
I think they give acceptances every other Thursday and they did two Thursday's ago.

Someone on this thread received a response on October 31st, so I assumed that the admissions committee met at that time. Has anyone called MSUCOM by any chance to confirm when the next meeting is?
 
I'm not too in the know as far as admissions goes... but the pattern in this thread (acceptances mostly grouped around Thurs 9/11, Thurs 9/25, Thurs 10/9, and Thurs 10/23), would lead me to believe that there are likely some calls going out around this Thurs (10/6). Best of luck to you all if that's the case. 🙂

Tomorrow, our very lives will be determined. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. What worries me to no end though is that I was complete in June and I still haven't received a decision yet. I would be so honored and blessed to attend the glorious MSUCOM! I certainly don't mind the 125 k per year cost of attendance for oos students. I'm taking loans anyway so might as well take a larger one!

I am on the exact same boat here. Will be very anxious tomorrow.
 
Ahhh I'm in the boat as well, waiting is rough. Does anyone know what time the calls generally start going out? Also those of you who are still waiting, when were your secondary applications marked as complete?
 
I was complete October 17th so I really don't expect to get a call today. Just rooting for everyone else. How about you?
 
I was complete October 1st, I wonder how far out they've made it. I know someone who was complete 8/17 was accepted last month according to this forum. Waiting is starting to drive me insane lol. July, don't worry, I'm sure they're probably just running behind because they didn't start reviewing til some time in August or something anyways. Maybe they're going out of order.
 
They are definitely going out of order. One of my friends who applied here was complete in early July and hasn't heard anything, whereas I was complete in late August and accepted in September.

I think it all depends on your app or what type of applicant you are (traditional vs. non-traditional).

Or there is simply no method to their madness.
 
I was complete in early June. I prolly had one of the first apps in and still nothing. Last week at the See the Sites, Anne told me "it's still early" so I don't know what to make of that.
 
Ya I talked to about 5 med students at see the sites who all told me I was early submitting my secondary in October. I felt relieved but also confused. I thought I was extremely late. One girl submitted hers December 1st and got in February!

Yah, just got the open house email as well. Thought it was a rejection letter at first. Don't think I'll be attending since I'm in Texas and that's a nice chunk of cash to spend just for an open house visit.

Also don't forget that the November update is going out soon. That's another decision scare for us.

And sadly no call yet...

Anne is one of the admissions counselors. Sounds like you might have some good news... :clap:
 
Complete email on October 10th, swimming in anxiety right now...called her back 3 times already (psycho status) but no answers! Loved this school at tour day!!

haha I don't blame you! it is an adrenaline rush for sure!

When I got the voicemail from her, I initially thought something was missing or was wrong with my app...I think because I was in too much disbelief I would actually be accepted.

congrats!! soak in the moment!

I balled like a baby after I got off the phone with her.
 
Hey guys. I haven't posted in this thread yet, but Anne left me a voice mail today too. She called me back later, and told me I was accepted!! So if she called anyone else today, I'm sure she probably has similar good news for you! I couldn't believe it. I didn't know they accept people without even having them interview first!

MSUCOM typically does not interview. But there are rumors percolating that they will interview next year.

Anne told me a couple weeks ago that they may do some trial run interviews after the new year. I don't think it's a rumor, and it's not going to be saved for next application cycle. She seemed pretty confident that they would do some MMI's sometime after January during this cycle.

Well then there you have it.

I didn't want to say with a firm "yes" as my sources are current M1s in the program, not admissions.
