Congrats!!! My number somehow got on a list and I keep getting a bunch calls from different numbers to answer surveys about voting. I have a heart attack every time! Is there a specific day they typically call? That way I will know which day to get heart palpitations on when the voting survey people call lol 🙂

Not sure when they typically call, I was called on a Tuesday.

But more importantly, is your username a Friends reference?!

Sadly it's not, my friend lost her red sweater at work one day so I changed my FB name to that as a joke and it kinda stuck.

I had forgotten about that episode! I just had to google it, so funny! RedSweater seems to be a popular FB name now too lol I haven't used it in forever until I signed up for an SDN account.

What's the latest that they will call? Going crazy over here lolololololololol I hope if I'm blessed enough to get a phone call that I'm not at work.

I got mine on the way to work and immediately was like NOPE and turned around and went home lol. So you should just peace out when you get yours 😀

At our interview, Dr. Ruger alluded to ~75% accepted post interview.

Seriously? I met with Ms. Snyder in the admissions department and she said they interviewed 760 people and only took 300 people. That sounds to me like a 40% chance 🙁 ... not sure how many acceptances were offered though, I'd guess about 350?

My interview is coming up and I'm really nervous and doing my best studying up on ethical issues.

Yeah I was super surprised when she said that, so I think @DrPatriot's numbers are a lot more realistic.

From my understanding, they get about 6K applications, interview 10% (~600) and give 450 acceptances for a class of 300'ish. I think if you interview, you're chances are pretty good. From the 450, many OOS people will turn the offer down due to price or due to acceptance at a local school. The other factor is that since MSUCOM's stats are similar to some MD school's, some people also choose MD over DO.

I think getting the II was more exciting to me than the actual acceptance lol

Typically schools accept roughly double the amount of seats they have, but I guess in MSUCOM's instance most people who get accepted want to go so they accept less overall.

You really think MSUCOM is comparable to MD schools? I got an interview here as well, when are you interviewing?

Anyone else got an II? Been complete since 9/20, also instate.

I'm starting to think they won't have anymore slots left

If you've listed all your community service in AACOMAS, you don't have to put anything in the community service box on the secondary right

Correct, only if there's any SINCE aacomas, or BEFORE college. I included some significant HS volunteering on mine.

Any idea whether post-interview rejections/waitlist notification come through email or snail mail? :/

If they are not going to consider an applicant anymore do they give a rejection notification? I had my secondary in on 8/10/16, and I have not heard a thing. If they already looked at my application and decided no, I hope they would let me know. I was hoping the process would be more straightforward as to what stage my application is in.

Stats? In-state out of state?

they'll let you know if you've been rejected, last cycle I got my rejection email early December

Major GPA 4.0/4.0 Overall GPA 3.98/4.0 MCAT 493. In-state. I feel like I have a great application besides my MCAT.

I think that MCAT is far too low to be successful this cycle. That's about a ~21 on the old scale, too low for nearly every DO school and especially MSUCOM. Study as hard as you can and bring that score up over the next year, and I think you'll knock it out of the park next cycle.
