Just got an email from Amy about a Career Day. I swear, I'm going to end up jumping out of my skin if she keeps doing that and it's not an II.

I called them today...broke down and did it.
The woman on the phone said they have no dates on when they are sending the next invites...just "soon". ahhhh!!! I asked if they weren't sent in batches and she said not really.

The university I took my summer class in was pretty much trolling me and not processing my transcripts to be sent to aacomas or amcas. Which sucks, I really want them to see that grade because it's good...maybe more ii will follow with that update.

I sent them an email about II's and if they give interviewing priority to higher stat people (AKA not me). We'll see what they say. I hope they're better with emails than AZCOM..

I would say to keep pestering them until they send the transcripts. Every little bit helps, right?

I called the U yesterday and the woman was like "blah, you don't know this super specific ID number and I don't feel like telling you how to get it so I am gonna hang up". Then at like 8 o clock at night I was like...I am gonna call those mothaf*** tomorrow and get these transcripts sent...

They are sent now...but probably only be reviewed on Monday...that's okay...I have work on Monday and can't sit on the computer and obsessively check my e-mail. LOL
 
At least LECOM updates their system so you can see progress to 'under review'.... instead of, you know, nothing changing on my portal and waiting for an email....

Come on, CCOM!!!

Got a pretty fast response. Lady said that unfortunately, they can't provide me with a timeframe for interviews. No answer to my second question. Oh well, back to limbo.

Thanks for asking and posting the response! I know we're all short on patience. Time to find a new hobby. Work obviously isn't distracting me enough.
 
You guys don't think there's a chance they handed out all the invites they needed for the season two weeks ago, do you?

Thanks for doing this! SDN's average really is higher than the total average at 3.65/29.5. I was starting to wonder why the schools' MCAT averages are 27-28 when people's MCAT on these forums is usually 30+. SDN seems to be representing only the most neurotic of us. 😉

For real...they must take people with MCATs a below 27 otherwise the avg would be higher...
 
seriously, the more and more i think about this number game, less i think it matters to school
 
they are, but i think a lot of people actually have high gpa

Haha it seems like you guys want a lot of info so i'll break it down for you...

Stats: ~ 3.6/32
App Complete: 8/9
Interview Invite: 8/23 ~3:30pm ET

II came by email with general info about the day and linked to the portal page for scheduling. My portal page had a message in the message center about scheduling the interview and you schedule the interview through the "interview scheduling" link on the left, go figure. I scheduled mine for early October.

There were a bunch of dates open from late September and throughout October, on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays (maybe a Thursday too?). I'm going to guess they sent out a batch of II's because a few dates were filled and closed while I was still trying to pick a date.

According to the email, the interview day is from 8:30 - 1pm and includes a tour of the campus, talking with current students, and lunch. It didn't say anything about the style of the interview, does anyone else know what its like? (open/closed file, how many interviewers, etc). The email also included links to travel info and a couple maps of the campus.

Hope that info helps, let me know if you have any other questions.

Forgot to add that most of those people interviewed early. There were some individuals who were complete early July and by the end of October still hadn't heard anything. We might be waiting a looooong time

Wow that is a hell of a turnaround. I got AZCOM a while back but CCOM isn't showing me love. If they go based off numbers though, that might be why

trust me though, there are tons of places where I ain't getting love from, i guess other aspects of my application aren't so good although i thought they were

My stats are great for CCOM, broad ECs, complete in mid-July... No love (yet), but hoping for an II soon since now they have my new scores.

I was complete 8/8, but I only have 29 on my MCAT. Maybe this means they've reviewed me and put me on hold. Nobody's been rejected pre-interview yet, right? Or maybe the computer automatically puts all the high stats at the top of the pile to be reviewed first, so it doesn't matter when you submit? :idea:

This guessing game is killing me.

it is closed file - they will have your two supplemental essays your cv and i think maybe your personal statement (not 10% on that one) there are two to three interviewers in the rooms with you. the makeup varies on the interviewers depending on how they can get for that day but will include a professor from a basic science, may include a doctor and a current 3rd or 4th year student.

Thanks for the info. I had a job interview last year where 3 people interviewed me at once... and that didn't go so well haha. I'll make sure to be more prepared for this one.

3.33s/3.56c/29Q and I had an interview invite on August 7th. So for the person who got the 29 and was saying they've probably been put on hold... I doubt it!

Try to be patient... I know it sucks, but I think that no news is actually good news - at least you haven't been put on hold or rejected. There is a very large volume of applications right now and I'm sure the school is busy reviewing them. It's still very early in the application cycle so don't be bummed if you don't hear back immediately. This process takes time. I expect you will be hearing something soon!

I just received an interview invite from AZCOM and would love one from CCOM as well. I was complete 8/21
 
I'm really hoping tomorrow is the day CCOM decides they want me to come visit 😉
