Mindhunter WW Mini Game Sign Ups & Game Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Why? If I was running this game there would be no deaths in a D1 tie, I'm not sure why that is an icky concept with 4 min left on the timer
Because village learns nothing from the lynch, except that we're bad at lynching, and we never seem to learn that anyway.

Something else that's problematic is allie liking genny's post about wanting neither leading wagons, but doing nothing.
I don't want SOV lynched. I'm not moving elsewhere without confidence that other people will move with me. Not feeling a last minute waffle fest.

CHECK YO VOTES

You weren't going to if I hadn't pressured you. Or at least, you gave no impression that you were going to. And even after the first time I pressured you, you still didn't answer.
I made a few jokes but I did eventually answer your question. You asked at 12:57, barks posted at 12:57, and then I answered at 12:57. It also wasn't a short reply either.

Day 1

It's 1969, and women in the Portland area have been disappearing regularly over the last two years. Police have found several bodies in the Long Tom River, tied to car parts to weigh them down. The rope used to tie the bodies was tied in an unusual knot that became recognizable as part of the signature of the "Lust Killer".

Unfortunately for the Lust Killer, who was soon identified as Jerry Brudos, one of his victims escaped, and that was his undoing.

Captured and imprisoned is @Ms Procrastinator, who was The Lust Killer, and a vanilla villager.

It is now Night 1. Deadline is 6am EST unless I get all actions in before I fall asleep.

11 players remain

1. @Animal Midwife
2. @Barkley13
3. @SARdoghandler

Well if we had been told there was chocolate koolaid for the waffles then maybe we would have been a little more interested

(I know. I'm leaving now.)
That's not an actual thing, is it? 🙁

Contingency lynch Sporty

for being here to like posts earlier but letting that 4 way hang out with zero commentary.

That's it for me tonight folks
I was happy with my vote where it was and trying to catch up on the 11 lectures I’m behind on. I also quite like ties, especially early in the day, so didn’t mind that sitting there. You seem to forget my bloodline.

Further analysis from me tomorrow, returning to my 11 lectures.

I'm extremely tired so take this with a grain of salt, but this was a disappointing lynch imo and I'm gonna say something.

Ms P gets lynched every damn game within like the first 2 days and doesn't ever complain, and it's just flat out crummy at this point when people aren't even really lynching her on anything concrete but are just using her to take the fall for someone else cause she's the world's easiest lynch magnet.

Should have lynched me if people were just looking for a whatever lynch vote, it's why I offered.

I support all of this but the last line.

Well, if the main dilemma today was "I don't want to unlynch mostly because I don't want x person to die as a result," then I don't see what is so abhorrent about me saying that I am ok switching places with another villager 🙄

Like either way today, a villager was probably getting lynched with the way that played out. So why not lynch a willing vanillager who has no time vs actively contributing players with time & energy.

Idk it probably makes a lot more sense to me because I know my own affiliation, but yeesh

You seem to forget my bloodline.
No, I just think the family thing is kinda obnoxious and cliquey tbh, so I ignore it.

(I get you're kinda joking here, I know the point was that you like ties. But "dubz likes ties so I also like ties" is not gonna fly with me as an explanation for why you happily let that tie sit there.)

Trust me on this. 87.5% of the time when there's a villager who volunteers to die (unless it's to explicity save a more powerful PR or they are bomb trying to catch a really hidden wolf) it's a wolf win. I've never seen it work out unless it's those specific scenarios on here and I've probably played over 100 games at this point.

A wolf could've been lynched if people tried harder. It's never impossible on D1.

RE: Your efforts in Cats for example.

Like I just straight up hope SOV if a wolf so a valuable lesson is learned. Except it won't be. And I'll keep having to say the same stuff for the next 100 games.

I'm going to post these every day and want them studied in correlation to the affiliation lynched. This is the path we have to take now. I've exhausted all other options.

Night 1

There was a flurry of activity last night, and before anyone knew what was happening, there were bullets flying between the band of killers and the BSU. Both sides saw casualties.

Dead is @PippyPony, who was the Co-ed Killer, and a village bodyguard

Dead is @cubsrule4e, who was Wendy Carr, a vanilla wolf.

It is now Day 2. Lynch deadline is 10pm EST.

I may not have had good reason for originally voting MsP but her reaction to the vote and subsequent posts after some pressure did not give me any reason to move my vote elsewhere. SOV's posts felt like normal SOV posts to me. Out of the two of them, my vote was always going to stick with who I personally felt was wolfiest.

And I will never again lynch someone who asks to be lynched whether it be mechanics based or time-commitment based. I've been burned by that and learned my lesson.

Looks like Pippy lied about being vanillager so that's great too...

Where are you voting today?

I'm not sure yet. Do I need to know right as soon as day starts?
I was hoping for a general direction given that not only did SOV get to live while MsP died, there's also a wolf flip.

Voting early's good if you want any control on where eod's going.
