I'm not banking on it. It's fine, I was expecting this anyway! They had a record amount of applicants this year and I just wasn't gonna cut it with my academics.

Oh well.. probably a rejection coming then. Not sure where I went wrong with 3.76 GPA and 2000+ Vet hours (small animal, large, pathology) and 3000+ animal (4-H, farm, small animal, lab animal) plus research.
 
Interview invite sent out for me at 5:24 PM eastern time. Good luck to everyone else and fingers crossed more emails come out!

Doubt you "went wrong" per se, they just had a record amount of apps this year and probably had a really hard time choosing people!

I think they all went out at the same time and it's likely safe to say those who didn't receive an invite either won't be or are in "limbo," the latter of which normally results in rejection as well. Doubtful too many people will be declining interviews this early in the game, so spots probably won't open up for those in limbo.

Edit: I guess I stand corrected! Based on cheathac's later interview invite 🙂

You never know! UC Davis sent out interview invites November 3 (so super early!) and at least four people chose to not interview, opening up those spots for others.
 
My last name starts with C and I submitted on August 17th.
 
It came in at 6:30 pm. Eastern time zone.
 
I'm interviewing on Sunday, Jan. 8 and will be arriving Saturday the 7th. Any interviewees interested in splitting a place for the night? (Or would any current students be willing to let me crash that night?)
 
Yes, so almost an hour after everyone else. So maybe they are sending them out in waves? I hope you get one!

Yes, thankfully. My grades are not stellar (~3.4 for all gpas), but I was really hoping my uniqueness would give me an edge. 2016 just keeps getting better.

Are you IS anywhere? I wouldn't worry TOO much. A 3.4 isn't that bad. I have lower than that. I think good experience and uniqueness goes a long way for some people.

I am in Athens, GA so yes I have an IS but we are really hoping I get in somewhere where my husband can find a good job.

Possibly! Looks like I might be traveling to Missouri alone so I wouldn't mind having some company while I am in the area. Send me a message!
 
Are these IS and/or OOS interview invites going out?
 
KYAAAAAAAAHHHH!!! I got an interview too! I read my email at the shelter and squealed/ rolled around the floor for a good 10 minutes! The cats around me were both confused and excited. I'll be interviewing Saturday the Jan 7th! 😀
 
Just got like 30 notifications from you guys on here and checked my email at work to find an invite in my inbox!!! I ran out of the bathroom squealing at my coworkers! So are we supposed to pick a date?

Edit: just read the rest of the email! I picked January 7th! Hope to meet some of you there

You have the option of doing Jan 6, 7, 8, 14, or 15. And they have every 15 minutes selectable for an interview from 7:45 am to 5:00 pm on those days
 
So are we to assume that if we didn't get an email today, we are getting a rejection letter tomorrow? 🙁
 
OMG Congrats guys! I'm so insanely happy for ya'll. No email for me which is disappointing, but what is meant to be is meant to be. Hopefully some other school sees something in me.
 
Congrats to everyone who got interviews! Those who haven't heard yet--keep the faith! I think that they may do a couple of waves for OOS!

Only OOS, unfortunately. IS gets snail mail for interview invites, and not until mid-January at the earliest. I applied IS for Mizzou last year and didn't hear so much as a peep until February. It's a long wait and it sucks, I know, but it'll be worth it!
 
Dude, no dice. Congratulations to everyone who got an interview though, seems like a pretty cool place.
 
No news is still good news (or, at the least not bad news)
