IDK 😭 😭 😭

I was trying to look back at the old hints and there are a lot of like "rock" music related things and then the football ones

AND this might be a stretch but remember when we thought about stuff repeating like last year and last year all the hints where about Taylor Swift and now KC and Eagles are in the Superbowl so-- maybe-- NCSU is not giving us hints for the date, but telling us that they do in fact write the NFL script-

that would make more sense at this point... I rest my case
Anyways I think y'all where sleeping on this one... I def cooked here

IS rejection. Thanks state for hyping me up for nothing. Congrats to everyone accepted! Guess the Wolfpack isn’t made for everyone. Honestly glad I’m not going to be in Raleigh for the next four years hahaha

I tried logging into the grad portal and my email wasn't recognized. What's the url again to confirm?

oh, it’s because the supplemental application fee was paid through applynds.ncsu.edu (non degree studies) which was the link on their reminder email

Honestly thought all y’all were great so maybe we can all be classmates next year
Same! But I'm lowkey salty because the students, faculty, and director said my research was impressive and I was a good fit for the program. I actually thought my rejection email was an acceptance until I read the second half 😭

I would be salty too!!

I believe it will always be 125 seats offered from now on with 100 being IS
I read the post NCSU shared early lol again cuz I forgot, so it's 2099 total applications with 1367 applications considered for reviewing process. 125 seats available with 100 IS seats and 25 OOS seats. 1367 total qualified applicants competing for 125 possible seats with IS & OOS...the stats are just crazy.

Non Resident Applicants Reviewed for Admission 991
Non Resident Applicants Disqualified from Review 680
Resident Applicants Reviewed for Admission 376

You should at least be waitlisted I think? Since you got an interview. So, not all is lost!

Rejection 😕 I am disappointed but not surprised. I’m a first time applicant with a low overall GPA (~3.1). I really hoped my experience and academic improvement would have given me a shot. I’m motivated and excited to start the next application cycle. Fingers crossed for those of us that didn’t make it in this cycle will next! Sending good thoughts. Congrats to those accepted!!!! You earned it. ❤️🐺🤍

IS acceptances - do you mind posting your stats? 🥲
At the time of applying, I have 1100+ vet hrs (GP-paid & mixed-volunteered), 800+ research hrs (2 different labs-1 paid-1 volunteer with different species), one co-author research publication, diversified yet I do not consider them sig. animal hrs (cow, horse, exotics), few sig extracurriculars (TAed for 3 classes & 1 that I'm still TAing for & other non sig. extras.), other sig. non-vet/animal related volunteering experiences, 3 sig. employments (non-vet/animal related), 3.9-4.0 GPAs in all categories, and honestly think myself did well on the interview (I normally wouldn't acknowledge that). I also trusted all my recommenders! And I really put my deepest thoughts into my essays as well. I asked different people to read through them both academic and non-academic.

Did the decisions come out through an email? I haven't gotten anything yet! IS applicant.

I am truly happy for all of you who got amazing news today! Congrats!

I am with the group of IS rejections. Second NC State IS CVM rejection. I applied to two cycles of grad programs before that, both rejections.

I agree with those that want to start a rejections support group 😅 the last 5 hours has been a rollercoaster of feeling sad, then numb, then devastated, then motivated on what to do for next cycle, then repeating all the emotions again.

I am an OOS person who has been waitlisted but I have been following along and for those with rejections you should still absolutely be so proud of yourself for completing the application process and giving it your all. I also got rejected by my in-state school and the rollercoaster of emotions sucks. Anyways just a reminder not to be so hard on yourself if you got a rejection. You are soooo much more than veterinary medicine or vet school!
