Nor'east Ski WWeekend (Basics) - Game Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I've said it a buncha times and others have said it too, but I'll say it once more.

and yes I chose to use the nice version of this line from the movie.

I really feel bad for you if you think everyone in the world is out to get you that much. This is a game.
Y'all are literally so mean. I don't understand why I play this game and I am probably not going to again because it just ends in tears and heartbreak.

After all the "woe is me, everyone wants me to shut up" crap you spewed early game AND late game, this is rich coming from you. 🙄

I don't want to see you quit or drive you away, but I think you need to take your own advice and realize its a game. No one is coming after you personally. Always attack the logic, never attack the player.

Ehhh I'm gonna step in for Zigzag's defense here and say that she got some **** this game that edged a little more towards personal.

It's also tough when you're right about a lot of things and nobody seems to want to listen.

This is the second time ZJ kept me from winning at end game. I've decided I'm not keeping her around that long again 😉

you better change your epitaph!
It wouldn't let me use the word "SDN" so I had to go with "WW" instead.

A literal who shot first scenario...

Also hi your pockets are soft and warm
Man I'm gonna have to start charging rent if y'all keep showing up in my pockets like this 😉

AHHH. I just caught up. My last suspicion before dying was correct wow. Good game peeps. Thanks to all the mods. 🙂 Also @ziggyandjazzy i appreciated all the quoted posts after I died made me feel like people were listening to me and made me feel special, even if my posts provided no help whatsoever. Also the tie plan was great, I was happy in dead chat.

Mel's Rojo: We could shoot dolphin, i think that would cause a stir.

Also I voted to lunch Mel on Tuesday at 3:50pm. Definitely knew he was a wolf and told him he was lucky I didn't play lol

I mean, it's below -40 here, has been for a week and will be for another week at least. Would you really begrudge me my warm, cozy spot? 🙁

Remind me you said this, next time I point out a wolf D1 and you don't vote my way 😉

Also thanks for not shooting me...even if that was your plan. I enjoy living longer, maybe I’ll make it to endgame sometime.

After I told Mel and Coffee this was my first time wolfing Mel decided to give me a few tips. This was the first one:

General wolfing:
KEEP YOUR PM’S AND THE THREAD STRAIGHT. Good wolves have been caught because they posted something on thread that was supposed to go in wolf chat. I like to only play on one window so I’m forced to click and realize where I’m posting. Or I keep wolf chat open on my phone and the thread on my laptop. Lots of ways to do it, I’m sure you’ll find yours.

It was a trying day on the slopes. The skiers had eventually decided to part ways after much contention over where to go next. It was the eternal question when it comes to skiing: downhill, or cross-country?

A few of them interested in downhill headed to Stowe, VT, one of the most picturesque towns in New England. Stowe is also famous for being the new home of the Von Trapp family, whose story was dramatized in the movie musical The Sound of Music.

The other half wanted to explore the backcountry of New Hampshire, so they journeyed to Pippy's favorite place to ski in all of New England: Jackson, NH. Jackson is an incredible trail network, and features warming huts with hot cocoa near traditional covered bridges that cross over rivers and streams.

It ended up being a good day for everyone, despite some squabbles and stress. By the end of the day, though, a couple of skiers were just too exhausted to go on, and decided to head home. <---this is the best I can do right now while I am learning about animal sex. Sorry folks lol

You have lynched...

@ziggyandjazzy , Stowe - Vanillager

and
@Dinashadow, Jackson XC Trail Network - Vanilla Wolf
The two remaining skiers looked at each other, gave a high five :highfive:, and hopped on a 2-person chairlift to the top of the mountain, and happily disappeared into the sunset. <-- Sorry, this is also awful haha

Remaining alive for village is:

@WildZoo, Wildcat Mountain - Vanillager
and @Crayola227 (formerly @grebes4lyfe ) , Loon Mountain - Vanillager

So question. As someone who enjoys reminding people to follow their own rules....

You RNG'd to kill Dinah? Because you should have. By your rules you had a stats problem with 3 variables, select 2 and variable 1a and 2a are indistinguishable. This leads to a 50 percent chance of just killing Ziggy. And 50 percent of both Ziggy and Dinah.

Hey now, you've made it to end game before 😉

I never forget my victims :naughty:
Lol what game was this...I’m so forgetful, I’ve played too many games consecutively, but you know the way you phrased that probably means it wasn’t a good time for me.

She stated that two people would be killed out of the tie maker and the tied parties specifically, so if there are only two people involved, then both die

RNG two people from a cadre of 3. A similar thing has happened in past games (the matrix in the lounge) and we all yelled at the mod to make sure they understood that the rule they spelled out (essentially identical to what this game says) actually means that Ziggy can be selected twice. Which is what this rule set says (whether the mods realized it or not).

is there any spiritual significance to the fact this happened and we were the only two villagers left alive???
Oh yes. I think if it had been any other way it would only be partial salvation, you know?

This was accounted for before starting the game, which is why in these cases, two people die rather than having one of them die twice. A similar situation actually happened in the previous game where the tiemaker is among those tied. So to prevent that person from dying twice, both people on tie die.

Yes I realize this but it was discussed and clarified yesterday lol
