Wouldn't the idea that you need to swipe in and potentially have it affect you're grade be pretty much mandatory? You have the leeway of missing a few classes but you have that at every medical school that requires attendance.

I don't have a problem with that but just sayin, doesn't get more mandatory then that in terms of attendance at any school.
 
According to current NSU students, they are required to attend class at least 70% of the time. However, unless they do poorly, nobody actually checks attendance history.
 
I sm still daydreaming of my time there... One more thing that is great about this school is the electronic music festival in miami. Biggest in the world!

Anyone know what they are looking for? my interview was so blah!

Well my ring was um, gold, and had diamonds on it, and um, it was clearly a dudes ring. C'mon bro, hand it over!

I actually went to the beach just north of Miami beach.

Weren't they awesome? So warm and swimmable unlike the beaches in cali.

I so hope the diamonds are real. Btw so are you withdrawing from this school because I think you said you liked Western better right?

Yeah, I've officially withdrawn from all the schools I interviewed at except western comp-nw. I'm going to Oregon next year!

And yes, that's the warmest water I've ever swam in. Except maybe Cozumel Mexico, but that was about even with Florida I think.

Oh. And I for one would be very interested to hear more about the ring. Take it somewhere and get it valued!

Good morning all!

I have a few interviews lined up, one of which is with NSU-COM on this coming Thursday (10/25). Since I'm not from Florida, I planned to stay around the area until Sunday. My travelling buddy backed out on me last minute, so I'm stranded alone to explore the city. Is anyone else also planning to explore the area? May be visit the tourist attractions, sight-seeing, go to the beach, etc? This is my first time in Ft.Lauderdale so it should be interesting. Please send me a message if you're up for it. It'd be great if we can get a group together. Best of luck to everyone on the interviews and acceptances!!! :xf:

That's what I wanted to do, but unfortunately I have to come back to school to study/work. I'll see you on Thursday though! Nervous/excited

You sure you don't want to skip class/work and explore a wonderful/exciting new city? 😀 Just kidding...those things always come first. I'm sure you'll do great in the interview, just take a deep breath and let your friendly confidence shine through 👍

I was wondering too it seems like they are backed up with interviews for a while which doesn't seem awesome for us waiting

I have been trying to call their admissions person since last week to find out. Left voicemail, sent email, but no response so far.

I was wondering how do you get notified for the interview: should it show on the webstar application, or should you get an e-mail( mail) stating the day of the interview?

I have a question I was looking at all my requirements that I sent in to NSU but do I need to send my transcripts or is that only if you are accepted?

You don't need to unless you're accepted. It will always tell you that you need to. If you are accepted, you have to send them your final transcript indicating you've got your bachelors and have completed all necessary coursework.

Interview invite by email. Webstar looked no different ever for me. And I'm well thanks!

Has anyone who interviewed on 10/4 have yet to hear back? I'm hoping this is a case of "no news is good news" rather than impending doom. I'm getting so anxious!!

Interview Invite!!!! Just got the call and email today. I was complete around July 30. I guess someone dropped out on the 25th and since I'm a local, I got the spot. Otherwise, I would have to wait until January to schedule a date. Soooo happy, I was starting to lose hope. Yahhh!

Hey Golf if you don't mind me asking what were your stats? I think I interviewed on the same date as you (10/4) and I haven't gotten anything yet. I'm extremely nervous even though I felt pretty good about my interview. My stats are probably lower than many I've seen here get invites/acceptances so I don't know post-interview what they base selections off of. Also does anyone know what the odds of getting in off the alternate list are based on previous years?

During the first weeks I met quite a few fellow classmates who were accepted in the several weeks prior to the start of classes, so it does happen. I went through all of that and it sucked for 4 months. Unfortunately, I don't have any specifics or statistics. Good luck!
 
Well, it looks like NSU is full on interviews until January, but still giving them out when people drop out... but, hopefully there's still hope for the rest of us!

I have a friend in their current first year class who was accepted like two weeks before orientation started.
 
So if I'm reading into this correctly, the next mass of interview invites won't be until January and until then it's just random inserts to fill cancellations? 😕

I literally just got a call from the admissions counselor asking if I can fill an interview slot tomorrow morning. Talk about short notice!!
I wish everybody luck tomorrow!

I guess I'll be seeing you. The same thing happened to me yesterday. Short notice or not, I'm happy. Where do you live?
 
So I rescheduled my interview yesterday here to 11/6 and the online scheduler said it was successful and that I'd receive a confirmation email shortly....I still haven't received that email. Does anyone here know how to check the interview status online just so I can be sure it was changed correctly?
