Im still sitting on an aacomas verification. I met with admissions about it, they mentioned that they're sitting on a very large line of applicants and applying at this point is borderline...

Gah driving me crazy here to find out, I interviewed the 29'th. I know we shouldn't complain because some people wait months and months for a decision I just really thought it would be sooner than the oct 4'th deadline they gave us.

Ohhhhhhh, that's a bit different. When did you submit your primary, and when will you be verified? It takes them another 1-4 weeks to process your secondary, depending on their volume. The good news is that most of the NSUCOM applicants apply to both DO and MD, so some of the accepted students won't attend. Also, even for the DO only applicants, NSUCOM may not be their first choice. So, you will have a shot, and how good of a shot depends on your stats.

hour and a half before COB and nobody has anything? Nova is killing me! I don't even care if I don't hear anything myself, just as long as one of us does so I'll know they're doing something out there.

As much as I would like to know, Anastasia seemed very adamant about not wanting to hear from anyone until it was after 10/4/13 so no way I'm jumping into that...

Welp, I guess the waiting game continues for all of us then.

The only thing keeping my neuroticism from reaching its apex is my upcoming busy weekend where not a moment of rest shall be had. Fun times.

Dunno... Your sGPA is about average, and your MCAT is average as well. Your ECs and publications may make a difference. Hope you get an interview, and that's another chance to wow them.

My last name starts with a C, so I guess I'm pretty early in the notification process. I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty excited right now 🙂 I'm sure the rest of you will hear something soon.

EDIT: My interview date was Aug 29.

haha most definitely this for the last 10 min...about an hour left for them to let us know or else its going to be a long weekend. Good thing is there is movement.
 
Has anyone had an ii that has not completed the required courses yet? It say that they will not consider you for admission until you have completed these requirements, but my school has to send a letter to AACOMAS clarifying a English course. I just don't want to send the application in if they aren't going to review it until I have the completed course requirements.
 
I just got a second email titled "Nova Southeastern University Update," letting me know again that I'm on the alternate list. Thanks for the double heart attack lol.

She changed the date from August 2013 to August 2014.
 
wait listed. kind of shocked that so many people have been wait listed this early.
 
I thought early interiview people get accepted like 90% of the time. what is this nonsense??🙁
 
alternated here as well. wtf? so many of us.. and not even ranked on the wait list.. ugh
 
I'm somewhat confused about her email. For waitlist spots, an file will be randomly chosen? We are essentially all equal?
 
"Alternate" as well for me. I interviewed last week, so I was surprised about hearing back this fast.

Wait listed here as well 🙁 3.45 cgpa 3.3 sgpa 27 MCAT. In state. Very disappointed.
 
guys maybe we got accepted but got the alternate email my mistake?
 
So far 25% of people who posted here have been accepted. That's like the failure rate for the thread last year
 
All these "alternate" list decisions makes me think they're changing their admissions process this year.

That would be great for some, but I don't see that as a fair way to go about it especially with the holistic approach that many medical schools try to take. I really have no idea though.

Just went through the thread so far.

13 alternate, 3 acceptances. 81.25% alternate rate
