I would call the HPD line on the front of the blue folder they gave us at interview and confirm a decision has been made, then try and contact someone higher up, I'm sure they can tell you if you explain situation, especially if we only have 30 days to pay deposit, returning on 1/14 to check mail is cutting it close lol.
 
Congrats everyone with this seemingly good news coming out! For those of us still waiting on an II... Does anyone know how late Nova's Interview season goes until? Does it end in March or April?
 
Can anyone talk about how their interview went? Is it one interview with a few faculty? Stressful or not?

I couldn't find anything about this on this thread

They kept me on hold for a cumulative 45 minutes. Their admin is so unorganized, it's frustrating!! No answer. My friend, who got accepted last month, said he got this email around noon and then his acceptance email around 5pm. HANG IN THERE Y'ALL!
 
I guess I'll find out if I mailed my letters a second time for no reason. Probably, otherwise they wouldn't have even known my professors names for the checklist. Hopefully the acceptance email comes and confirms what we're all thinking.
 
Damn just read the email in its entirety and if there is a date received missing slot then they don't have it. Damn professor who wanted to hand mail everything didn't get it there, but how did they get his name then? Oh well they're sent now but I'm afraid my news isn't the kind you guys got. Fingers crossed

Note: If you completed a paper admissions application, your PIN was sent to you in a separate email.

  • Under Processed Applications, click on the Admissions Term value representing your application.
Note: If you have submitted more than one application to the university, multiple Admissions Term values may display.

  • Requirements are listed at the bottom of the page; outstanding items will not have a received date.

Yes I got that email and I don't have any missing fields. That is... All my requirements have been met.
 
ChillyWilly, md420909 congrats (presumptively) on the good news. I've been following you guys on this thread and am really excited for you. I just wanted to see if anyone who interviewed in either november or December had gotten the same outstanding documents email? To me, it sounds like they were only able to review up to a certain date back, and those of us in november and december may be waiting over break. Also, can anyone post the HPD number to call and ask if a decision has been made?

Yea I interviewed early December and didn't get that email or hear anything from admissions.

I am part of the crew and have not heard back yet. It's the 4 week mark so hopefully we hear back tomorrow or mid next week.
I just wish I knew if it would be snail mail or email, as I am going home till Jan 4th and won't be at my current mailing address.
 
Okay, called and was told the letter was missing but also that my final transcript was missing, ummm not sure how to take that, accepted as long as they get the letter?

One interviewer, pretty laid back. I thought it went pretty well, no hard questions just why nova, osteo, a few things about volunteering, a few personal questions.
 
Ok I called and they said we were hear back BOTH through email and regular mail. So those of you traveling should not worry, I think they will send you an email as well with the final decision. I interviewed 11/21 and they said a decision has not been made yet, so maybe today they were going through the October bunch? Can those who got the email today confirm their interview date please 🙂??

As for NOVA, I feel like we might be in the same boat. I was complete in mid-september as well but had a retake on the MCAT... how did you find out that they did not get your newest MCAT score? I am a little worried now that this might be the case for me as well since I have not heard a single thing for months! Did you give the adcom a call and do you have their direct number??? They might just be the hardest school to get through to. Thanks for all the help!

I actually found out from my first interview at ACOM. All they had was my old score which was a 25, not the 28 I had just received. I had resent my MCAT scores after receiving my newest score, but I guess it hadn't gone through. Which stunk because I'm pretty sure that's what NSU was waiting for and Rocky Vista rejected me because all they had was that score. So if you think that might be the case, go to your AACOMAS and see what scores they have listed. If your newest score isn't up there, you need to go back to MCAT THX site and resubmit your scores to AACOMAS. The new score will show up in about 3-4 days.
 
Hey guys, I'm cancelling my interview at NSU because it will be after ACOM's deposit due date (and I'm only gonna pay those hefty fees once)! Good Luck!
 
Okay guys here's the scoop if you received the outstanding requirement via email:
call and ask what those missing requirements are.
I called, and the lady said i needed to send official transcripts from my schools.
i then asked her if i can safely assume this means an acceptance...and she said YES!!! :soexcited:

I'm still going to wait until I get an acceptance email/package..but I'm gonna be honest, I'm so excited!!!!

I was part of the 11/21 crew too. No news yet unfortunately. I was really hoping to hear back before Christmas so I can celebrate some good news, but it doesn't look like it's happening. I'm hoping we hear back by early January since things will probably slow down during the holidays. Crossing my fingers

So before I stated that i called yesterday and was told the same thing and assuming an acceptance. I called back just now and spoke with someone different who said my file is still under review and a decision has not been made. Nova seems very disorganized and I'm somewhat disappointed in them. I don't mind if a decision hasn't been made but don't give me conflicting answers especially when I made to assume I was accepted. I called a higher up and they said the knew that the Dean was making a final decision on a lot of applicants today. So who knows what is going on over there. I have to make a decision in the next 5 days cuz I have acceptance from other schools and at this point Nova is losing cool points.

Novas administration is nothing short of a mess this cycle..but hang in there guys! Hope you get good news soon! 🙂

I can't believe you managed to get through! I was on hold today for 45 minutes before I accidentally hung up with my cheek :punch: But that's great news! I will still call later tonight, because if they're only sending it via snail mail, maybe I can convince them to send another copy to my home address. 🙂

I just read your previous post. I think the better question to ask is if anyone has received this outstanding req. email and NOT been accepted. if everyone has been accepted at some point after receiving this email, then i think we can relax.

Stalking previous posts (pages 40-45)... some people got the "outstanding" email and called HPD to find out their app is still pending, but then received an acceptance packet soon after.

others who received the outstanding email didn't get an acceptance email, but they got a packet.

in conclusion, there is no order with Nova during this process. take the "outstanding" email as a good sign, and wait for good news. the end.
 
Yes I agree. I called this evening because I figured the call volume would be lower, and I was informed my application was "still pending." Then when I informed the woman about the missing documents email I received, she said she looked at my file and told me that my final transcript was missing. When I asked why they would need that if I hadn't been accepted, she didn't really have an answer for me and advised me to call back tomorrow during business hours. 😵

Don't worry check out r0baa's post. He said the exact same thing as you and still got an acceptance packet. Have faith
 
Accepted today! Interviewed 9/26. I will be humbly declining my offer as I have been accepted to my state school. However, if I wasn't I would def come here and could see myself being very happy. NOVA is a great place and I really felt a good vibe there. Good luck fellow applicants.
 
Dang...accepted today. Counter-intuitive, but I was hoping for a longer a turnaround or waitlist so I could see how the rest of interview season played out.
Nova is by far my D.O. preference, but there are still a few local M.D. schools I'm waiting to hear from.
$2000 (acceptance fee and deposit) is a bit too much to pay for optionality...probably gonna have to decline.

31/3.8+/OOS/ Dec 3 interview

Just got my acceptance email. Beyond excited about the news I just received.

My only concern is that I never got the missing documents email. Should I be worried about this? Or is the email saying you've been accepted definitive?

Regardless, so excited for NOVA.
 
My timeline:

6/28 application complete
8/2 ii
10/17 interview
12/20 acceptance

I've been going through anxiety over past two months. This has been my number one school, and living in the Miami area has been my dream since I was a young kid. This is so surreal, I can't believe I'm starting my life and my career.

I am 200% sure I'll be submitting my deposit. I waited two years for this!!
 
Got an acceptance today, will be turning it down as I have accepted another offer. I hope one of you gets my spot!
 
How did people send in their deposit? I'm trying to pay by Market Place, but what does it mean when they ask for a delivery address?

Dude, you got an acceptance email, I'd say that's more definitive than a missing documents email... Celebrate!

Received acceptance email!! Wow Nova really had me and most of us hanging there for awhile. Congrats to everyone else who has been accepted and those who haven't heard anything yet, stay positive.
