Unfortunately, I don't think it'd be a good idea to bring a spouse to the social. Mainly since they'd be out of place and they themselves may feel somewhat uncomfortable being there as well. None of the interviews I went to had anyone bring their spouse. The degree to which it'd feel out of place would also depend on each social's setting (the ones in a more casual setting would be slightly more ok). I'd treat the social as a mini-interview in a relaxed setting.

Each school has their own way doing the social. Some have a dinner where all faculty and residents are present. Others only have residents present. Some schools have you meet at the venue (usually a restaurant), while others will start at the school with a small presentation followed by moving to the restaurant venue.

I got the same one, they told me it was an automatic email. I never got an interview though
 
During the socials, is it best to get to know the residents at a first-name basis and address them personally by their first name, or call them Dr. Whatever? Or does it just depend on the resident/program?

I would start by calling them Dr. Afterward, if he/she seems friendly you can address them by name. In the end, it really depends.

For schools that give multiple dates, is there any advantage/disadvantage to choosing a certain date over the other? Like the first date option vs the last?

I pick dates and times that give me enough time to fly to next interview places and avoid myself from getting more than one night of hotel stay.

However, I also give exceptions to places like Vegas. Maybe it's a good idea to spend a weekend there before my interview.

I would think that the reason they give you options is because they genuinely want to meet you and give you the best chance to be able to come. I wouldn't overthink it

There are a lot of people in the same boat with only one, or no interviews at this point.
Stay positive! It only takes 1.
 
Anyone able to switch Buffalo? I am on the 16th but need the 13th. Willing to provide fair compensation for any booked light/lodging.
