Living with roommates! I lived in a sorority house with 80+ girls (including some of the most insufferable people I've met) in college so living with a couple other people seems like nothing.

I have become quite adept at using a hanger to clear those things. I pretend I am in the Cath Lab and opening up some arteries while I do it to make it more palatable.
Just throw a bunch of baking soda down there and then pour some vinegar over top of it.

I would just call maintenance. He would just start leaving bottles of draino so I would stop calling every week lol.

I think I'm going to take this summer to do a few things:
  1. Organize life- figure out what things I need and don't need in my apartment, get some calendar things, try seeing how good I can schedule on iCal, etc. etc.
  2. Work on maybe some business models while I have time & invest money
  3. Tutor a few people & sell my MCAT books in the process omg.
  4. Read books
  5. Watch Netflix
  6. Work out
  7. Spend time with my friends and loved ones
  8. Travel!

All right, I apologize if I offended anyone by saying I was not ready to settle down in med school. I thought it was just some light-hearted small chat. Anyway, as a 22yo career-oriented female, not willing to commit large portion of time and energy on relationships/marriage is not that weird and is a complete personal choice. Those of you happily married or in a stable relationship, good for you and I wish you all the happiness and blessings!

What are peoples thoughts on living alone vs living with roommates? Especially during first year?

I'm living with a roommate who has been my friend for the past 8 years. She is not a med student, but will be starting NP school at Emory and our schools are close by. Personally I think it will help to have a roommate so it won't be so isolating, but also a non med school student so everything won't always be about med school when I come home.

Cool, are you starting at Morehouse Med School?

Sounds like a good kind of stress though. Congrats!
Thanks a lot! It's funny, because I had this crazy travel debacle going up to interview there (travel agent booked a hotel that was 3 hours away from the school, didn't find out until 10 minutes before we left) and I missed the first half of the interview and all the info from the school. I might have to fly up there to check it out.
