Do we have the option to get a different/larger version of the macbook? Or is it the same with everyone..

Then I guess you can sell the laptop. But I would suggest getting used to it...I never had an apple product before but I love the macbook. It is very easy to share anything with classmates, the intraoral cameras we use in SIM Clinic plug into the USB port and use the photobooth program on the mac, axium (dental software used in the clinic) will be loaded onto the mac the day you get it. Just really easy when everyone is uniform and using the same stuff.
 
We got an early 2015 model, i think intel i5 2.7 ghz 13"
The computer is great, but 3 months after school started the price was already down to $1050.

nope. everything is included into your fees: loupes, computer, instruments, etc (loupes will be from a certain company. so if you want another pair from another company you must pay for them separately)
 
Any Post-Dec interviews hear anything back from the school yet?
 
From my understanding the December 1st acceptances have until around December 30th to put down a deposit. So if you interview after December 1st, the earliest you can hear back is the first week in January after the admission committee meets again and another round of acceptances are sent out. I'm in the Post-Dec 1. interview boat and hoping for good news in early January!

Just interviewed today and that is what they said.

Congratulations on your acceptance!!!

I am a current D1 at Midwestern and absolutely love it here! I wanted to let you guys know ahead of time that this Summer we will be offering a Pre-Dental Sim Course. The first session is June 24-25th and the second one is July 8-9th (both weekends cover the same material).

The cost is $150, which I know seems expensive, but we cover A LOT! You will get first hand experience on drilling Class I Preps, Taking Impressions, and Waxing. I did the Sim course as a Pre-Dental student myself, and once I started Dental School I felt way more prepared and relaxed!

For those of you who have been accepted, this is a great chance to get a head start. For those still applying, it is another great thing to add to your list of dental experiences and talk about in future interviews. It truly is a great experience, and you will be able to network and familiarize yourself with the campus. You are now able to register on the Midwestern website. I really hope you consider, and feel free to message me with any other questions!

Anyone else interviewing this Tuesday the 6th?
 
On the phone, he mentioned that portals should be updated tomorrow. So if anyone is worried that their portal doesn't say anything, it shouldn't yet.

Very cool! It looks like we are the only two posting on SDN about getting accepted yesterday. I wonder how many were called. When I was speaking with him, he mentioned he had just gotten the list.

This is my top choice, so I've been anxiously waiting for my portal to open...

I called the admissions office this morning, and they said they'll be offering a lot of acceptances this afternoon!
 
Just received an interview invite!!! So excited! Any advice??? (I have not scheduled it yet!)

Yesterday morning, I got a message asking me to verify my address and cell phone/cell phone provider.
 
I got interviewed 12/3 and haven't received a reply: does anyone know when we'll know about waitlist/denial?

Gah, waitlisted for interviews a couple months and I'm just sitting here waiting. Hope is wearing thin.
 
I hope someone can answer this. I received an acceptance and I need to fulfill the biochem requirement. I am enrolled to take A class called Biochemistry of the Metabolism. Can anyone with experience tell me if this class will fulfil the requirement or if I will have to provide a syllabus as proof of material covered?
 
Call them and ask. When I've called about prerequisites/other admissions questions they've been very helpful and friendly
 
Have been wait listed for an interview invite! My hope is going down 🙁

Compared to the other schools I interviewed at, it had a "campus" feel to it... which is something that I personally love! There were different buildings, and students camped out places studying, and housing, and other things that made it feel like a school to me. The clinic is across the main road. Overall, everything was well kept and looked nice (as most schools do).
 
Just got my acceptance call this morning! Interviewed December 17th. This is my top choice so I'm so excited! Hope others get the call today!🙂
