I heard that the University of Michigan only takes 1 external candidate, 2-3 applicants are from Umich itself, everybody should have DDS, even if how good your profile they will only take internal candidates even if they are fresh pass out?

Once they start reviewing your application, they will send you an email like that. Last year was on 7/31/2023, this year should be sometime this week.

For people who applied to a GPR after applying to endo, did you have to get new LORs? Also, did you completely rewrite your personal statement to be GP focused?

I don't think this is correct. I think it was just the application under review sent. I could be wrong. Last year I got the application under review email on the exact same day and got an interview invite next week.

I recieved a Columbia invite on Aug 1.
