yep IIs went out, I just received one yesterday!
 
I hope PCOM sends me an interview invite. It probably would be the last DO interview I attend if given an invitation.

If PCOM sends me an invite, I will have visited all 3 of my top DO choices by the end of this interview season. 😀

and I submitted my app late august
 
congrats to everyone with ii, did you guys get a complete email? Its been almost 3 weeks and I never got a complete email from there.

I've heard mixed things about this. Some people have gotten them, but i've also heard people getting ii's without hearing a peep from PCOM beforehand. Not too sure how it works.

I got one 5 days after I submitted. Still no ii, oos. 🙁

What is the complete email? I was given access to the portal a while ago, and it shows that everything had been received by the 5th but I didn't get an email staying I was compete

Then you're fine.

I think they're probably still having a bit of trouble integrating their online application system.

I called last week and they said it could take up to 3 weeks. It sucks cause they don't even send an email saying you submitted the secondary and I never saved the confirmation page so I'm hoping it actually went through.
 
I submitted my secondary august 2nd and my committee/advisor letter section is still blank/has no date in the column. My letters are on virtual evals so there should be no issue. Anyone else that has completed a secondary have that section blank? thanks so much!
 
Did you get an e-mail for the interview invite, or was it an update on their portal?
 
Email. From what I understand, the portal doesnt show you anything beyond your materials that they receive from you
 
Lol, I would fly out tomorrow and pay the exorbitant prices the airlines would charge if that's what it took to interview here 😀

Same thing here. I don't have a committee letter so that's blank but my three individual letters show up as additional information received. I'm going to contact the school to see if that committee letter is an issue...

Applying in two years but I've been doing a lot of research on PCOM. They prefer the committee letter but I think of lately, they are more accepting to 2 science LORs and one non science LOR.

When did you submit? Stats? Pretty please =)
 
IS (not Philly), submitted everything the first or second possible day. It seems that they're going by region first, not stats, but PM me if you're interested.
 
did anyone else get an e-mail today with the subject: Thank you for your applicatio​n to PCOM

they acknowledged my supplemental app received 9/4 ; i'm guessing this new email means that I will be under review soon and that before my app was just sitting on the pile?

Nope... I got an interview at this exact time 1 year ago and my MCAT score was a 26.


(EDIT: my MCAT score was a 26, not a 27. The fact that I had trouble remembering is a testament to how much it really doesn't matter what your scores are once you actually start medical school).

hey guys, just wanted to say good luck to all! I'm not currently applying but had a quick question for my app next cycle... I always hear of a weird LOR requirement from PCOM like a dean letter or advisor letter or something. what exactly is it? thanks for any response, and good luck again to everyone!

That's no longer required, a committee letter will work
 
I copied this from their website:

A letter of recommendation from your pre-health or academic advisor/committee (undergraduate, post-baccalaureate or graduate programs).

NOTE: This is the preferred letter of recommendation by the DO Faculty Committee on Admissions.

OR

- Three faculty letters of recommendation: Two of those three letters must be from SCIENCE professors (undergraduate, post-baccalaureate or graduate programs)

*Please note that this is the only letter REQUIREMENT, however, we will accept additional letters from other sources.
 
Did anyone else get the email from PCOM this morning about the pre-soma conference? I got pretty excited when I saw it and thought it was an II haha.
