Do you think it could have been an automatic kill? Like Teep investigated someone and the wolf can automatically kill if investigated/attacked? I've seen wolf roles that do this, but normally it is if they're attacked at night and not investigated, but I'm not sure if the slightly burning when investigating can be considered an attack.

I think it's more likely Teep was killed by someone rather than the virus. If he had the virus from evolving he would have a) been evolved and b) had signs of the virus (like aggression). From the "somebody had a problem with it" could it be he was trying to seer last night was the person who killed him? Or at least it was someone who knew of his ability. I agree that it seems weird he indicated he has been open with both aloha and rocky but only Aloha says otherwise.

Lynch Aloha

Yeah, I now think it's more likely that Teep had the fire stone but was killed before she had a chance to use it.

On what logic would lie about PMing teep? How is saying we hardly talked even slightly beneficial for me? I'm not a wolf and all this voting on PM crap that has happened the past two days seems to be the new equivalent of looking at what someone was last seen doing. Teep also might have had another PM buddy somewhere out there that people didn't know about and they just haven't spoken up.

Reread, he said either of his PM buddies, i.e., the two allowed. And there was/is logic behind both conversations relating to the PM business. Rocky had a reason to look at the nonPM stuff to be suspicious and it went slightly off topic, but otherwise was a lead that needed a followup. This early in the game for the affiliation seer to go down deserves a look at those close to them, so we are checking up on the two that were indicated. Pretty basic.

I'm curious about the weather statements in the write-ups so far. Has anyone noticed any pattern with them? From what I know in the pokemon games the weather/environment affects the ability of pokemon types in battle. Strong sun "Sunny Day" -> advantage for fire and grass type, Raining -> advantage for water.

I'd have to have a poke-expert confirm if I'm remembering it correctly.
Yep, though to be more specific:

Intense sunlight doubles the power of fire type moves (and enhances the effect of some grass type moves like Synthesis) while also cutting the power of water type moves in half.

Rain just does the opposite of that, minus the grass type bit. It also increases the accuracy of some electric type moves like Thunder.

There's a lot more to it than that, but that's just a basic rundown.

True. Also, in Trilt's incredibles game there was a character who could control weather and put in reports each day. Makes sense that there would be a Pokemon (or multiples) that could do that in this game!

I googled "the sunlight turned harsh" after it was italicized in a few write-ups, looks like the weather status can have a ton of different effects. I think it might bring on or suppress certain abilities.

Castform could do that

I can PM with people beyond those above and below me, so I don't think it's illogical to say that maybe teep could as well.

The other PM buddy that I can think of would be Officer Jenny....

I feel like if Teep had seered aloha he would've been able to be up front with her about things. If he was open with his other pm partner but not aloha that makes me feel like he didn't seer aloha.

Castform could do that
That's who I was thinking about too
I wonder if the stones are a way for wolves to kill. Say they find the right stone for the right pokemon and voilà, nice quiet death.
The thing is, I would think that they would have to evolve first for it to "kill" them. So this theory could be possible (I hope not there seem to be a lot of stones at play in this game), but not for Teep's instance anyways.

Correct

I don't think the evolving involves every pokemon. If all of them had to evolve first to be effective, it would be another long arse game ala STL. hehe

Teep seemed to die in the same manner that deva/Professor Oak did. Would be weird if a stone worked on a human too. Plus I agree with Ash that the write-up would likely show him in the evolved form if the stone was used.

Dont underestimate my (protege's) power! 😛.

But agreed with Lupin in all seriousness.

Also, probably not very useful, I've acquired the Pokedex (although it appears to be getting worn down/broken...not sure if that's been the case for everyone). I pushed a button and was just told that not all pokemon like humans

There are a few legendary pokemon in Gen 3 that have weather contolling abilities.

This is true. But there's also surprisingly quite a few non-legendary Pokemon who can learn both Sunny Day AND Rain Dance, so there's a lot of possibilities if there is a single player with this ability.

This is the msg I got when I received the pokedex the other day:
"You've received an item! Pokédex: All the known Pokemon are recorded inside this device, and lots of other great tips and tricks! Or, well, they were... it looks a little broken. I guess you can try hitting a button? This item may be used at any point during a cycle."

Okay, so it seems like it's always been broken cause I got the same message when I received it.

Unlynch Aloha.

@lhmhtd knows my role, she can weigh in. I'm not a wolf.

I could get on board with an aloha or Rocky lynch. It makes sense. It's also easy for Rocky to say Teep seered her N1 since he isn't here to confirm or deny her claim.

I'm confused why you are so sure about this.
Because I know her role via a mod interaction that she had no way of faking or arranging as a wolf, and there is no way in hell it is a wolf role.

She did say this day 2, which fits with Teep's ability and her story.

SOV... Someone found out I was a villager last night. Write up said I was blasted with flames.

Did this interaction occur before or after the no kill night?
Before. So a conversion is possible, but unlikely- it would be more accurate to say, there's a 300% chance she started as a villager.

Seer her before killing her though, unless you've got some extremely strong evidence, because her story holds up from everything I know.

Lynch rojo

My suspicions are very circumstantial, but it's better than nothing.

Okay rocky do you know if anyone else knew about teep? Did you share with anyone?

No one else should know, at least from me. Teep role revealed to me maybe an hour or so before lynch closed (or whenever the bandwagon started, don't remember). I just affirmed he was a villager on the thread, but I didn't share anything with anyone else, especially since he was seer. The lynch happened too quickly for me to even discuss it much.

problem is we don't have a seer...
