In Lavender Settlement...

The residents of Lavender Settlement were getting uneasy, and that was very strange.

You don't grow up in Lavender Town without gaining a certain comfort level about your own mortality, and a willingness to go with the flow when it comes to strange happenings. The city was well known around Kanto as the gravesite and resting place for Pokemon spirits, and the Pokemon Tower in particular. So when items went missing for days, people acted a little strange around town, or the occasional glowing orb was seen, anybody who had spent any time in Lavender Town really paid it no mind. This became a little more annoying as they tried to survive the virus, but ghosts will be ghosts, so what could you do?

However, the last couple nights... the Pokemon Tower had changed. The change had started quietly enough, with just an occasional flash of light and grumbling noise seen through the highest windows. But it had escalated dramatically during the last two nights to all out mayhem - flickering lights, shrieks, groans and a pulsing purple light. At least it usually stopped around midnight, but none of the Lavender Settlement inhabitants were happy about the sudden change.

...but ghosts will be ghosts.

Outside Pallet Township...

Kangaskhan was dreaming of better days. Years ago - before this mayhem, before the apocalypse, even before she'd been caught by her now-dead trainer - she had roamed, like most Kangaskhan, through the wild grasslands of the Safari Zone. At that time, the occasional trainers who threw rocks and food at her were nothing more than annoyances, and she spent her days with her baby on the glorious, endless plains.

That had all come to an end when she was captured. Her trainer had been kind, and she had grown to love him, but the day in, day out of fighting other pokemon for no reason... just wasn't her. She was much more of the nurturing type, and her baby and her got in to all sorts of lovely mischief together. In fact, as Kangaskan laid dreaming and reminiscing, her baby was off helping someone - she did it every other night, and it had been very handy so far!

It was good, too, that the baby had gone off wandering in the night. Because while Kangaskhan was sleeping, somebody unloaded the shotgun into her back not once, but twice. She only woke to a momentary flash of pain before she was a very bloody, very dead mess. The Pallet Township residents stretchered her body into the infirmary in the early morning, leaving her baby to find only trampled grass and bloody bits when she returned. She wandered, confused and scared...

Dead is @PrincessButterCup, Kangaskhan - a VILLAGER whose baby helped out in two different ways. On even nights she could deliver a message to the group of her choice, and on odd nights she could lend a helping hand to bolster somebody's innate abilities.

It is now Day 6. Lynch deadline is 9PM EST, or if there is a large, unmoving majority.

Texts from last night, dead people edition: one of these is likely rojo, so be aware of that. It seems so far that each dead player gets to send me one message:
You huffed the full restore and felt yourself back to normal.

Someone tried to kill you during the night, but a REDACTED TO PROTECT IDENTITY jumped in the way and stood defensively over you.

Ummm, MJ, you might want to take that down. If I'm reading it correctly you're outing two player's abilities. After how upset you got at Kcough, you might want to think about being a little more discrete.

How do you know one is from rojo? The last one: lady of the farm evolved into gyrados and is a killer? OR that she can kill someone who's trying to kill her?

🙄 I think the top one is Kcough keeping up the charade from the grave. Seriously, is everyone just ignoring that her identity in the death write-up was a character we know 100% to be someone else? You of all people should not be missing that fact, since it's your identity she stole for "her own" in the death write-up.
 
It can't be Kcough, MJ himself said it was delayed one cycle.

Plus Lupin dying from poison gas from a Koffing seems consistent

Nevermind, that's Lupin's death. Mixed up Prof. Oak and Bill deaths. Still Koffing would definitely be a wolf

If Rojo is sending the picture and Kcough was actually a villager, why would he want to "confirm" that and give us more information than we currently have? It would be absolutely counter to his interests. But if Kcough is a wolf (which she is, I'm sure, she 100% killed Lupin), then Rojo would want us to think she was a villager to preserve her story and cast suspicion on me.

(As an aside, I actually don't think it's delayed by anything other than when players get their pictures in. Modding R&M with Trilt, that's how she operated for picture sending. If Kcough sent it in right away, I think Trilt would send it at the first available opportunity. And when MJ posted his role description, all it said was that there might be a delay. That's the same thing Trilt put in Allie's description in R&M to let her know it might take a while for the picture to get drawn. So I don't know if there are hard and fast limits to when pictures get sent like MJ thinks there are.)

There very well might not be a hard limit- she said they "may" be delayed, I merely assumed one cycle delay because that fit with the timing.
 
If I could lynch, I would lynch Kam right now...
 
Great thing about having so many conversation partners is you can get and spread a lot of info: Kam also has red hair and bare skin, which not only doesn't fit her claimed role, but makes her Team Rocket as ****.

Glad a lot of people took an interest in making me a nexus of info.

I was just thinking - what if PBC enabled an extra ability for someone the night she died? If so.. that person is probably meowth.

Because mode of action was through the baby and the baby didn't die
