not that its much of a concern anymore but the reason I was pressing to see if anyone else had that tingling message was because I got that message N1 and was subsequently told that I wouldn't have been able to do anything that night even if I had wanted to. I wanted to believe it was crayola because of the wording and crayola's role and its very much like cray to telegraph who she's going to use her ability on by voting/voicing suspicion on them on thread. It was possible it was someone else, but since no one else mentioned anything like that I can put this to rest. Oh and yeah since DVMD and I were blocked N1 there's a wolf blocker out there.

ETA: also why I was sketched out by DVMD D2 because the wording of our blocks was totally different, but after seeing the past two phases I'm willing to attribute this to a fickle/time stressed Mod.

We lynch people for a LOT less than their ability - it isn't even close to "weak." Your ability is totally sketch, and lynching you is totally justified. It's at least a 50:50 gamble whether you're a wolf based on that ability, which is a lot better than the odds on most lynches.

Just cause I'm voting for WZ (because I think lynch avoidance is slightly more sketchy than ability stealing) doesn't mean I don't think Snowy needs to go, too.

Sigh. I guess. But I don't like it this game because it's me being lynched. There is only so much I can do/say and I usually get lynched early on for sounding sketchy anyways. I really wasn't thrilled to get this role because it just meant I'd be even more sketchy if anybody found out.

Ha! Well. If you're wolf, go cry me a river. But if you're village, I hear ya. Sucks getting a role where you just know that as soon as it comes out, you're going to catch flak from everyone.

I feel like it is pretty common in this game to have an ability, though. And the ability thief was already known.

Idk man there is something about that reasoning that seems a little off. Like, you were just crossing your fingers and hoping that if you got night killed, people would look back and analyze your hypothetical night kill in depth? Am I reading that correctly? (Disclaimer: I need to go to bed.)

Shrug. I still don't like to broadcast it, never have. You know this. We didn't know who the thief was, and at the time I wasn't sold that they were a wolf. If I'd had an ability where I didn't feel like it really mattered whether wolves knew what it was, I wouldn't have said anything on thread.

My original plan was to PM both of my PM partners about it instead, but I only had the one because of MJ, and if I'm going to tell only one person I'd rather just tell the thread because there's no accountability if only one person knows (I suppose one day I'll get unlucky enough to PM two wolves. Cross that bridge when we get there).

If I was night killed, my ability would be shown with the writeup. I'm hoping at least one person would have wondered why the ability hadn't worked, and maybe remembered that I had mentioned it was stolen...

It was only used up because snowy was lynched. If that hadn't happened I would have gotten it back today.

So like, people would know the ability thief was a wolf? Basically, they would know for sure that a wolfy-sounding ability is wolfy? And that wolves kill people at night?

I feel like we almost know that now without you dying

Ability thieves aren't always wolves though. Wolfy sounding abilities aren't always wolfy in general.

I don't know what your point is right now.
 
Idk I am probably blowing this out of proportion since I am on a roll with that, so I'm dropping it for the time being.

I'm not sure I know what my point is anymore either. It just feels like...weird motivation. Almost feels made up to me as a "reason" to post it, because it really wouldn't tell anyone much of anything.

But everything feels weird right now, because finals, so I give up lol
 
Okay setting aside my frustrations with Snowy's play for a second:

If snowy is a wolf, then the wolves would have known that Dubz had a vulnerable period and would go back to having a lynch/night kill avoidance the next day. Wouldn't wolves have used the window of vulnerability yesterday to get Dubz lynched if dubz is a villager?
Conclusion: Snowy isn't a wolf, but not necessarily villager either. Dubz gets sketch points.

Although if the wolf plan was to purposely get Snowy lynched specifically to waste a day and get rid of Dubz's ability.....bravo. But this is also super convoluted and I don't expect anyone besides STL, Cray, and Myself to think about something like this.

It is really challenging to get a specific person lynched unless you have overwhelming evidence to damn them. I kinda see where you're going with that, but...I just don't see it playing out in practice. Not at this stage in the game at least. Too many players, too many variables.

When numbers dwindle to the point that wolves can start to consolidate, it would be a lot more feasible.

And like I just said in PM, you have no reason to worry if Teep flips village, so why are you so concerned right now? If anything, all this should help you if you are actually village, in a couple ways. So unless you have strong reason to believe he will flip wolf...

Much easier to just kill me. I don't see why them not lynching me is any indication that snowy is not a wolf. The fact that she claims she thought my ability was so sketchy but chose to sit on it makes her more sketchy in my mind.

Confused here though. Now you say snowy has to go but the post before you concluded that she's not a wolf?

Or are you just hedging right now based on convoluted theories?

At first I thought Snowy wasn't a wolf but was Chaos, by that second post I was back to thinking Snowy is a wolf, and took back the sketch points I gave you. Regardless of being a wolf or chaos, Snowy has to go.

Eh. Do you want me to be confident and just tunnel someone I'm not for sure is a wolf? I mean I've had many times a bunch of feels/post analysis that makes me think someone is a wolf and then they are lynched and are village. I give my reasons why I think they are sketch and vote to lynch them, but if something comes up (someone vouches for them or mentions something I hadn't considered) change my analysis/my vote/what category I have them in. Wolves like narrow play concentrating on a few players because its easier to direct lynches. Villagers should always be looking to wide discussions of everyone. We slowly learn who to trust as village (maybe not all the way, but at least a bit) and we can catch the wolves better imo by doing that. I always get called sketch for being wishy-washy, but I am trying to separate the villagers from the wolves and trying to look at everyone by creating wide discussion instead of tunneling on one person all the time. There's enough people who do that.

Sigh. This is like your vmh theory earlier. It just requires so many assumptions. How could I know WZ's ability before I stole it? I just picked a semi-random person to see if their ability sounded villagey. I couldn't figure out what it was because it was vague so I was going to wait and decide what I thought of her if it got used. Would the wolves even have as much knowledge as you assume I would have by your theory?

Have SOME conviction then. Right now it reads like you're just keeping your options open, ready to hop on to whichever wagon seems convenient for you, which is what wolves do.

Yes, yes you did open a PM with me. Even that PM was overly apologetic, hedgey, and read like a wolf who knows they can trust me but wants to cover it up. Its not just your on thread play that makes me want to lynch you its also the PM you sent.

For reference though I don't PM with people unless I've cleared them as village or I need a specific answer from them that might be detrimental to village if asked openly. You fit neither of these categories yesterday so I didn't bother responding to you.

ETA: I should say I don't 1-on-1 PM people unless one of the above. I will group PM with people just to shoot the breeze or make puns.

When this game have I hopped on any wagon just because? I thought allie was sketch balls and I stated my reasons why. WZ thinks her ability is legit and Teeps is suspicious of her. I'm inclined to believe Teeps because he was village and WZ is on my sketch list. Jil as I stated before is playing different then I'm used to and tunneling on people more which makes her sketch. AM as I said before is quiet and wasn't sketchy until she broke the tie last second which seems like a chaos-y thing to do. I was sketched out by cyndia at first, but after she posted her list of reads I am a bit more okay with her. LIS is neutral as I feel he is playing village-y right now, but is a good wolf so I don't want to move him to my village list yet. Pips I go back and forth because she is all over the place and feels village for the most part, but I didn't like her propagating the tie between me and Teeps. That is just not a normal thing for villagers to be happy with ties. But I agree with a lot of her thoughts and her protesting after a few mentions of being sketch make her seem village. MJ I have a theory that he might be neutral because he is MIA until midgame (but no evidence just my thoughts on mechanics). You and your crazy theories and thoughts make me think you are village. And everyone else I am pretty comfortable with right now. I may have changed my opinions on some people based on what they or other people have said or asked questions of someone I think is village (Because *gasp* sometime I'm wrong about people so I always have to be evaluating my thoughts), but I'm not just hopping on "convenient" wagons.

Thats fine if you didn't want to pm. I'm not blaming you for not responding because some people like to pm and others don't. Yes, I was trying to get an answer for why you thought there were two kill attempts because I had a theory I wanted to see if there was any truth behind but I didn't want you to think I was trying to pressure you into anything. So maybe that came across as hedgey? Sorry not sorry. That is usually how my first pms to people in these games sound when I've never played/pmed with them before.

Pushing britz to talk during lynch and saying she was sketchy early on but not voting for her. She seemed like she was trying to push pippy's sketchiness D2(?). Long posts of replies to everyone, but not asking people questions about why they are saying/doing what they are and not much analysis. Just words.

I'm chocking the end day trying to keep the tie up to WZ loves ties (but wolf WZ and village WZ both love ties), but you made this comment then never gave your thoughts on AM breaking the tie last minute. I would be interested on your thoughts on AM..

Yeah I get why you mentioned it on thread. I guess it is probably weird to me because my wording didn't mention it was a lynch avoidance. Your theory seems like it is a wolf who got their ability stolen and then voiced it on thread to make them seem more village if people figured out what their abilty was and could throw shade at the ability thief. (yes I realized this is my biased theory)

I'm not sure where you're going with this and I'm not going to push, but after yesterday I think I know who my "counterpart" is, or another role similar to mine. I had to clarify with the mods about whether or not I actually needed to "find" them, and Kdubs told me it was just writing flair within my role PM. So I'm pretty sure I have a similar role/brother in the game but they're kind of irrelevant to me ability-wise.
