I have an appointment with my mentor and then I have a bit of free time and then work, so I'll be on a bit mid-day, but I don't know if I'll be online at work since the family I have likes to leave campus a lot. 🙁 So I may not be around much today.

The failure of calling out Wildcat--an innocent Yarder--as a criminal weighed heavily on most of the officers as they settled down for the night. Most of them passed a quiet night, but not everyone. DVMD kept several people awake with her crazed muttering in the night. One person dealt with the guilt by keeping watch over a fellow officer all night to see that her sleep was not disturbed. Several people decided to stay up and find out as much about another officer as they could, hoping to avoid repeating the day's mistake. That strange fog returned, and in the early pre-dawn hour, two shots rang out.

Jamr0ckin's scream caused everyone to run to her out on the Front Lawn. "It's Abney!" she cried. "We were just coming out to watch the sunrise when suddenly--"

"Single gunshot to the head," supplied Dandelion, crouched down by the body. "It looks like it was done from a distance. Who here could make a shot like that?"

Pushing his way to the front of the crowd, Sheeps said, "I don't know, but I don't like to see my officers killed. We need to find whoever did this so justice can be served."

Abney, otherwise known as Mike Stamford, a Yarder, has died!

What about the write up makes you think that? I just re-read it and anything like that I think went right over my head (which is not odd)

Agreed, which I think happened last night, too. I'm not familiar with the show or characters at all, but does anyone know of anyone who is very good with a gun in the show (like a sharpshooter or something). Because that may at least tell us if it is a yarder or villain doing the shooting (I'm assuming bad guy but you never know in these games 🙄). I'm going to wikipedia to do some research.

Well I've only seen the first three episodes (season 1). Dr. Watson was the sharpshooter that saves Holmes in a game of wits. That wouldn't really make sense why he would be killing off yarders though. I haven't seen the second season so I'm not sure if something happens then.

And do we know what happened with the second shot? The writeup made it sound like someone was protecting someone else.

Yeah I'm 99% sure it's a bad guy doing the shooting, but in another game (Hunger Games, I think?) katniss killed a villager, and there have been items in the past that can kill villagers. I kind of spaced when I wrote that post, blonde moment 🙄

This is less WW than Mafia it appears. So the killing being a shooting makes sense rather than a mauling. IMHO.

Well if anyone could have come up with a pattern, it would have been you. I was talking about the cosmic balance as it pertains to WW games the other day, and hubby thought I was crazy. He just doesn't get it....😛

I misread this sentence. Re-reading makes i sound like someone was protected not being investigated. Again, this is me WITH coffee!
