I truly did not expect to be accepted this round.
If you're thinking about applying in the next few years, my advice is this: pursue things that you're genuinely interested in (even if they have nothing to do with vet med)- you'll be a more interesting person AND applicant.
That being said, I've given up on trying to understand adcoms- I've met so many amazing applicants along the way, and many of them weren't accepted. In other words, I think there is a certain degree of randomness to the whole process- so please-
don't base your self-worth on your application outcomes. You probably have a pretty amazing story and background- whether vet schools see it or not. Or maybe I was raised in the 80's, when all children were special and gifted...
