All the acceptance offers are provisional unless u have completed all the requirements and have all the pre-requisites taken.

Dr. Peterson actually said every offer is sent as provisional, they include it with every single acceptance offer.

Okay so I made a HUGE mistake. I sent in my acceptance for the waitlist but I check the wrong line!!! I was so excited and working too fast I marked the wrong spot (partially because I was trying to turn it into a pdf to sign and had to keep redoing it because my computer wasn't cooperating). I already resent a new signed document within minutes with an apology, but now I'm so upset! I'll have to call asap, but I'm so worried that affected my spot

Just call them tomorrow to confirm ur email. Don't worry!

Does being Waitlisted as an IS applicant mean I should probably gear up for next cycle?

Okay so how does the wailist at this school work, because #same

Looks like there’re quite a few of us waitlisted. Any last year students want to chime in and let us know how this works would be appreciated! Cuz stress level is high rn.

OOS and Waitlisted as well. Going through last years posts, IU rejected quite a few people on 12/1.. anyone get a rejection and would not minding sharing?

Ive read in another post that someone was accepted to Case, Minnesota, Midwestern Illinois, and Michigan... And rejected from Indiana

I was never rejected just waitlisted. But I have had friends who were. The email pretty much just says thank you and please apply again. Then a contact email to set up a meeting with the dean of admissions to review your application if you want.

Out of state waitlist moves about 4-8 spots on average for this school. So there’s a good chance for out of state applicants waitlisted. Instate waitlist moves like 1-3 people to get in.

Really only that many for in state? Looks like I’ll be applying a 5th time ):

Do you guys know what the chances are of instate students getting accepted off the waitlist?

Also, do they let you know what number you are on the list if you call?
Apparently they won't tell you what number you are on, on the wait list due to some admission committee rule. I was wondering when do they start taking people off the waitlist??

I will take my name off the OOS waitlist on Monday since I have another offer, good luck guys hope this will eventually help someone.

That seems low to me as well.
Ya I know it is pretty low. But that’s what admissions and many IUSD faculty members told me last year when I was waitlisted. If you think about it though most instate students who get accepted wouldn’t wanna give up their spot since out of state schools are so expensive.

I know a current student at midwestern who was wait listed and ended up getting accepted in july so the waiting game can be pretty long for some lol

Hey guys, I'm waitlisted as well but I found this old thread about IUSD waitlist.
Wait-listed at Indiana

It's from 2010... so very old, different admissions dean but they used to give out the number for wait-listed applicants. Also, according to that thread, wait-list moves a lot for OOS. OOS tuition is very very expensive for IUSD (probably one of the most expensive dental schools in the country if you're paying OOS tuition). Hopefully we all can get in. Good luck to everyone.

Hey guys those accepted to IUSD I'm thinking about making a page that we can stay up to date on emails being sent out from the school and such... so far I received a background check email and a conformation email that they received my deposit check. The emails keep saying that there will be loads of emails to come so I dont want to miss one. I think if we have a page on here we can keep each other updated.... what do you think???
