Ok, I *think* everything is ok. I called UTMB....they've received the updated score...I don't think San Antonio did but I got an interview from El Paso.
 
The Tech application site is driving me nuts... when you guys log in via Merlin, do you all see a little wrench next to your El Paso application's status, and then checkmarks with lower-case i's next to the Lubbock ones? I can't figure out how to get checkmarks in all the areas, or whether a lack of those checkmarks means I'm incomplete.

I just had my primary transmitted yesterday, so perhaps I'm jumping the gun here, but it worries me that there's a wrench next to the El Paso app. When I try to start a new application to El Paso, it tells me I can only create one. Maybe I should just call?
 
I think your being paranoid, I never did anything for el paso other than fill out the primary and send it.It then took about 3 weeks after it as transmitted for me to get an email from el paso saying they have received my stuff.

Thank you. You're right-- I am being paranoid. 🙂 This whole stupid process makes me anxious about dotting i's and crossing t's. It's agonizing to think that none of the UT schools offer a pre-match acceptance to people like me until halfway through November. Gah.
 
I'm having problems with it too. I changed my email attached to TMDSAS and they want me to get an eRaider account to do so on merlin...but I need to have desk support to get that.
Very frustrating.

On my status page all I have is the Lubbock application, the El Paso is not up on the page. I wrote a page back in the thread what they told me about the website when I called Tech the other day... Its not going to have our status updated on it until they fix it. But now that you say there is an El Paso status on there, I am starting to wonder why I don't have it! Everyone else have both the Lubbock and El Paso status boxes on there???
 
noshie, did you apply for Foster MD as well? I just realized I never made an application for El Paso. The funny thing is, they sent me an email saying they've received my primary.

Here's what mine looks like. I tried to attach a screenshot of it--

In the "Foster Medicine MD" window, it says that the status is Open, with a purple wrench icon, and then blue i's next to Applicant Status Review, Interview Scheduling, and Admissions Offer.

For the "Medicine MD" (Lubbock) window, there's green checks next to everything except Applicant Status Review, Interview Scheduling, and Admissions Offer.

What I'm thinking is maybe they'll process and close my El Paso application when they get around to reviewing the secondary I filled out for TT generally, which might take a few weeks since TMDSAS just transmitted late last week?

Yes I did. There was no secondary, just added the school on my primary application. You didn't put this school on your primary? I got the email too. I will have to call tomorrow and ask...

My Lubbock one looks exactly like yours, but I dont have the El Paso box!

Try going through and creating a new application for El Paso. Maybe that will open up an El Paso box-- they don't have a secondary, so I assume that if you submitted your TMDSAS and selected it when you picked schools, you're fine.
 
I got the El Paso box to come up by creating the application on the Texas Tech website, though I doubt it makes a difference whether or not you do it.
 
I'm sure at least some other people are applying via AMCAS as well. Did any of you guys revise your school list by adding new schools or choosing not to apply to ones that you indicated on TMDSAS? It's locked after you submit, and I don't want them to think I was trying to be deceptive by having a shorter list of schools there than I'm actually applying to.

Does anyone know the best way to update the list, or if this is required?
 
I know everyone's talking about El Paso etc. I sent in my primary, never logged in to any of Tech's things. Never sent in the secondary for Lubbock. And I still got an interview. I've never even attempted to log into the secondary page. If your primary was sent to El Paso, you're fine. Hope this helps.

If you want to update your list, you need to email TMDSAS about it. I think that's the only way.

Thanks!! I was getting a little confused/paranoid with all the info about El Paso. After I submitted the TMDSAS that included all the texas schools, I never even looked at the El Paso website.
Also, UTSW and TCOM don't have a secondary fee right? Only tech and a&m have a $50 fee right?
 
There IS no application for El Paso. The reason there is a place for it on the Tech website is for *making* the interview date. It should only be available after you've been sent an interview offer.
I'm having problem setting up the interview because of some technical issues that I have to call their help desk about.:beat:
 
Anybody get an interview invitation yet?
I heard San Antonio sent out some..TCOM is starting interview this week

Nothing for me so far :xf:

Oh sorry, poor choice of words on my part. I included Paul Foster on my primary, but I didn't "apply" for it on the Texas Tech Merlin website. After I did, it looks exactly like Drummer's. (The application had no secondary.)

My application was transmitted on 7/14. No words so far!
 
Ok, A&M secondary was submitted(with paid fee) a month and a half ago, but it says it's still not been "received". Says my LOR from the committee hasn't been received, but it's been received by others.

The secondary should say its received. You need to call about that. As for the letters, mine still says not received, but they were sent almost two weeks ago. And most of the other schools already have them. I think it just takes them a long time to post up there. It said on their page that things could take 4-6 weeks to update on your status! This seems a bit much to me...
 
It says the LOR is the only thing not received and they might be performing an internal audit or whatever. I can't find the admissions office number on the website. anyone have it?
 
My A&M status finally changed to under review in the last few hours!!! They updated receiving my LORs. Maybe I will hear something this week... Hopefully...
 
Oh come on TMDSAS hurry up and process my transcript! So annoying... They received my payment 7/12 and I'm giving them until 8/9. ugh!
 
AHH, ****!

I made a typo on my optional essay (that wasn't that great to begin with). Instead of 'career' I had 'carrier'. What do I do? Luckily my application is still being processed... is there any hope?

LOL! Thanks for the laugh I needed it. It turns out it is more than just a typo, I submitted the wrong draft of my essay. :scared::scared::scared::scared:

I've had a few issues with my application already and I'm just praying they help me out. It is still processing so maybe they'll be really compassionate after hearing my story?

I had a cGPA3.8/ sGPA 3.85/ MCAT 29O
Average volunteering, little bit of shadowing, and a lot of research. (I really doubt that the research part helped, given the nature of D.O. schools)

I focused on wanting to do primary care in the future. I also really like the D.O. school's holistic view 🙂

update: received an interview from San Antonio today (scheduled for Aug. 16th)

im assuming alot of you have also applied to out of state schools so are you all also receiving letters with "we don't accept out of state students"? because it's pissing me off that I paid for them and have received three already! and yes, I did do research using the MSAR and those schools did have a out of state acceptance percentage...dees iz bullsheeetttt!!!
 
Hey guys, my apps were transmitted on 7/14. I received an email from TCOM, Texas Tech, and San Antonio stating that they're received my apps. No word from UTMB though. Did everyone get an email from UTMB?
 
Forgive me if this has been asked, but does TMDSAS send you an email once your app has been transmitted? That way I know whether or not I should stop obsessively logging in to see if my status has changed from "TMDSAS Processing" 🙄

...for the record, I submitted on 6/24, and my payment was received 6/28.

Yes, TMDSAS will indeed send you an email saying the app has been transmitted. So no need to obsessively log in, although I don't think you'll stop. 😉

I think I've checked my email 98401823 times today. Waiting for that Inbox (1). Then getting really excited when I see that I do have that (1), only to find out it's my bank saying I can enroll in paperless statements. +pissed+

Yes, TMDSAS will send you an update via email. For reference, mine was submitted 6/10 and transmitted 7/12. Because yours was submitted a little later, it might take longer than that. But you're almost there. Best of luck!🙂
 
Thanks, GlamDoc and SweetRain! Maybe you should invest in Gmail Notifier, GlamDoc (assuming you have a Gmail account haha) 😉

Also: how long do you guys think "briefly" means on the A&M secondary? And is it possible at all to answer the second prompt (the honor code one) without sounding like you're not completely BSing? It's giving me tons of trouble.

I feel it. Today is my day... 🙂 We shall see. All I know for sure is if I don’t get a Texas interview in the next two weeks, I will be super grumpy and will contemplate hitting something. Don’t cross me! Hehe.
 
I finally got an e-mail saying my application is complete at UTHSCSA-- do any of the other schools send out "You are complete" e-mails that I should be worried about not having? 41 days after I paid with everything in. Man.

Those of you who are applying to TMDSAS in 2011-- earlyearlyearlyearly. Less stressful that way.
 
I tried searching through this thread for an answer to my question and came up empty handed, so I apologize if I missed over it, but...

This morning my application was transmitted to all of the schools I applied to. Everything is in, including my secondaries, except for my committee LOR. Do they ever give out interview invites without having the LOR in? I don't know how long TMDSAS would even take to verify that and submit it once my advisor sends it in... Haha.

From what I know, you will definitely not get interviews without the LORs. They won’t even let your file hit the committee until you are complete, which means Primary, Secondary and LORs are in.

I submitted my application prior to LORs too. The primary was sent out to the schools and about a month and a half later my committee letter was finally submitted to TMDSAS. I was also worried that it would take them forever to process my LORs and send them out to the schools. But actually, it only took a day to process and send out! The schools received them within a few days! So once your letters are in, it won’t take long at all!

Beets, when did you submit/send in your payment? I am anxiously awaiting to be transmitted and am wondering where tmdsas is at
