The WWatering Hole Bar Grand Opening - Game Thread.

I even asked you why you thought it should have been used already and you didn't answer and for ****s sake did you ever think maybe I had a reason to hold onto it?

I'm too drunk for this ****
Yes I did, that it was actually the second option I proposed to you, and you were lying and were going to off me. It honk it was probable that I was attacked last night based off of results, and since I started saying to you last night that things aren't adding up with you, I am not relying on staying alive. So my way of keeping you accountable is by forcing your hand to use it Tn and prove you're not a liar, or show yourself as being a wolf.

Mmmhm. Nice for woofs to have another night kill in the meantime though

Yes, that's a good point. Anyway around the non lynchability? Like can we have an assassin take them out, if we have an assassin on board (still?). But even if we don't get a wolf this cycle due to non lynch-ness, it doesn't mean the wolves still wouldn't be able to kill tonight even if they were minus one of the pack. I mean I'm assuming there's more wolves than just Genny and Rabbot?

Everyone does realize that if Rabbit is a wolf who is also a beer, he will be unlynchable today so this bandwagon might be kind of a waste of time? Cool? Cool.
I missed this

What the **** are you talking about

I forgot that existed today. But if he were village and was a beer, you'd think he'd mention that so the village doesn't waste a vote.

That's assuming he's following that closely. Last time I saw him act this goofy he just wasn't following. I could see him faking his typical "I'm not following" villager play as a wolf and it just not coming off right. Which is what this feels like.

ETA: if he's this checked out AND is village, good riddance, I hate to say

If I remember correctly, I think someone died already (jil maybe?) that could do a vigilante kill :/

Right, but numbers-wise they will be one-up vs if we had been able to lynch a wolf.

I mean, hell -- if they knew rabbot was going to go down soon anyways, this is a perfect bus opportunity. Play up the sketch, get people all excited...oh WHOOPS he can't be lynched!

Why sign up if you're not going to follow at all??? (Referring to last game, possibly this game if village)

Mmmhm. Nice for woofs to have another night kill in the meantime though
I'm confused by this statement. If we're thinking 4-5 wolves . . . why wouldn't they have another kill tonight? If Rabbott dies, there's still 2-3 wolves left to put in a kill action. It would be a wasted day (in the sense of no lynch) but it wouldn't affect whether we lose a villager tonight.

All of a sudden you can't maths? It puts them a day ahead. That's all I'm saying.

The drinks were huddled together outside the bar. The fire marshal hadn't cleared anyone to go back inside yet. After such a blatant murderous attempt everyone was out for blood liquor! "@rabbott1971 you've been quiet, why do you think all these awful things are happening?" they asked. "What?" Rabbott looked around dazed, Clearly not paying attention or caring. "Why aren't you more upset?!? Don't you want the bar to be opened? Maybe you're the one hurting our friends!" The drinks circled around Rabbott, determined to find the truth about him. They cracked open his cap, ripped off his label and what did they find?

4. @rabbott1971 - Tanqueray Gin - Chaos who could create an item every odd night, and avoid one night kill. His goal was to successfully drive the lynch of one villager, one wolf, and then get himself lynched. This was not met.

I'd just like to point out that Rabbott was the third person that turned out to either be wolf, neutral or chaos, who was high on my 'feels' list right from Day 2, and the second person I've voted for. I was also the first person to vote for them this round. So, yo, villager in the house here.

I'm wondering how many items are in the game...if Rabbott submitted night actions both N1 and N3 there are at least 2 that I think we should be a little weary of

But it turns out he could be lynched, and it also turns out the information you gave about him being an unlynchable wolf was wrong. And the whole 'wolves get an extra day' thing didn't make sense either - as PBC pointed out lynch or no lynch the wolves would still have gotten a kill in for tonight.

Not sure why exactly, maybe we have a blocker in our midst, but I can't use my night action for tonight. Not that its turning out to be much use anyway, but just some info to put out there.

This is essentially the antithesis of a villagery post

I don't think she was offering this up as legit information, just suggesting that it was a possibility.

It begs the question what "drive" the lynch of wolf and villager meant for Rabbott's win condition. His item making ability?
My interpretation is that he would have to be like "hey everyone, this person is a 1000% wolf, to lunch them!" Aka, push other people to vote one way or the other

Er...as a wolf you want to keep wolves alive. Chaos and neutral are nice for distraction purposes but really aren't something wolves actively try to protect. Besides, as a wolf you (with occasional exceptions) know who wolves are, everyone else is just a non-wolf.

I don't think this gives you village cred, sorry.

Um, no, just no.

And wolves would vote chaos just as much as a villager would.

I'll catch up more later...expect word vomit from me in an hour or so.

Fyi voting for a neutral/chaos means nothing since wolves usually want them gone just as much as villagers do.

Okay I wasn't up in time to vote on the Genny lynch, but taking out neutral and chaos is still pretty good for the village. I didn't actually know that wolves have the sort of information that allows them to know not just villager affilliation, but neutral and chaos as well.

Really, why? I mean don't they kinda sorta work for the wolves in a way?

I've heard of an item that would cause all players to be moved around in groups. I haven't seen it myself, but if it's accurate, thats probably one of the chaos items.

I've also had an item that gives random night results of someone (I believe someone else mentioned it on thread), although it doesn't say whose results they are. Was useless the night I had it, since the rng gave me '...' as the message. Not sure if that was necessarily his or not (I had it n2).

I thought I'd done good for the village, now everyone's raining on my parade. :arghh:

No. They have their own win conditions, as is listed in rabbotts role reveal.

Oh, okay, I thought they were like double agents, working for both sides which meant badness for village and potential help/usability for wolves.

I had that N1 (and got the same "..." result) so I don't think it could have been Rabbot's.

Sorry guys, just got off a phone call from S. Korea. I had planned on lynching rabbott, was actually about to send that message when my phone rang.

My other thought, to be clear, was maybe STL, depending on what was said next in that convo. Now I am just curious what will come of the STL/WZ drama.

Ceke still has bits that make me wonder if this is first wolf play, but she seems to be moving back toward her more typical play and logic now, so I don't know where I will go with that thought process.

The drama is apparently all on my end since he's ignoring me. Real nice.
I read through it again, and thought I might understand his thought process, but reading it a 3rd time, especially looking at your responses, I'm lost.

Okay, now that I know wolves have access to info like who is neutral and who is chaos, and want both of them out the way as well as villagers, what are people's general feelings on WZ? I noticed she waffled off the Genny lynch onto Snowy at close to the last minute, and then was quick to lynch snowy and point out snowy sketchiness in regards to outing Genny's ability as a wolf. Is it just me or does this seem like a wolf votes for wolf to gain villager cred, wolf shifts off of wolf to save fellow wolf, wolf then pushes lynch vote on neutral knowing neutral is bad for wolf pack kind of a move?

The STL/WZ stuff is making me twitchy too. I get not liking to have your ability outed when you want, but the reaction seems a bit over defense. I may have to go back and re-read to get a better feel for what happened.

Any thoughts on this?

@SummerTheLynx You seem to want WZ to either clear herself or show herself as a wolf, reasoning on this?

OT for a sec, this is our homemade Absinthe fountain at work, also shows the louche effect with Absinthe. The top of the fountain separates from the bottom as well so it can be stored in the fridge to help keep the water at a chilled temperature. 🙂

The video got a bit squashed in ratio unfortunately.

Okay, now that I know wolves have access to info like who is neutral and who is chaos
Unless I missed something . . . No, they don't typically 'have access' to that info. That makes it sound like their pm from the mods says 'Hey wolves, these players are the other non-villagers in the game! Go get them lynched!' Wolves don't get that info handed to them, so looking at Dubz (or any player) as if it's possible she's known all along who's neutral/chaos is not terribly beneficial.

His thought process was apparently
1. He said things weren't adding up with me, and then he was "attacked"
2. I should have used my ability already
3. Clearly it made more sense to out me on thread than to, idk, maybe have a conversation and discuss why I was holding onto it

I'm still pissed off in case that wasn't clear. And I'm not going to use my ability tonight just because he says I should. Because **** that.

Ah okay, I misread Fern's post as saying that wolves know who wolves and who non wolves, including chaos and neutral are.

So that would make WZ perhaps less on the wolf scale then with the snowy lynch, but still maybe there with the waffle of Genny last minute lynch.

I need to start trying to attempt to strategise later in the day when I'm not still so zonked from medication hangover. :bang:

Okay, that sounds like maybe a bit of a d!ck move, but why not use your ability if it helps clear suspicion off you, and then perhaps people can look at why STL did what they did in terms of sketch or non sketch?

Because I'm not going to use it at what I believe is an inopportune time just to sayisfy one person

I'm not sure the hidden message joke from rabbott is merely that. It is clear there are interesting posting mechanics at play, one with AM, Ceke with gifs. There are interesting PM mechanics at play with the roster changes and PM boxes allowing for discussions not reflected on the roster, and hence otherwise secret on thread.

Could there be Masons or Lovers? Could STL and rabbott have been subject to a mod mechanic where one would have to put in a "secret" code and the other would have to identify it on thread? I've read there are mechanics where a wolf has to say "werewolf" every day or other codes, or die. I've read there have been mechanics where someone has to say something and someone else has to respond a certain way. Could they be in a PM to coordinate that, that isn't reflected on the roster? Yes. Would there be reason to do all this, and then play it off as a joke?

Is this too convoluted for WW? No. Could this be crap Crayola logic? You know, I can think of at least twice now where I was dismissed, and it was crucial to game (I identified kcougli or Kam as a wolf in Mermaid, and last game that PBC and other veterans were part of a veteran wolf pack, but I couldn't get the newer villagers off Snowy).

TLDR: imho the mod posting and PM mechanics allow for something odd between STL and rabbott to be more than a joke, just keep that under your hat. I don't know what it means exactly.

Er, so that would mean my running with the apparent joke by Rabbitoh regarding STL's hidden message, which everyone rightly pointed out later on may have just been a giant coincidence, may not have just been me stretching to find sketch with people? I mean if that is a legit posting restriction that has been used before?
