It is going to be tight but give it a shot. Make sure that you get your transcripts to them ASAP since that was my bottle neck during the process. Good Luck and don't give up hope
 
for those definitely going to touro next year, join the touro class of 2013 thread!

I interviewed on Jan 7 and got a call this evening from the Director and Dean about being accepted. That's exactly 14 days! Good luck!
 
It takes 2 weeks for them to make a decision and inform you. I was notified of my acceptance via e-mail.
 
for those that live out of state and are coming to new york for interviews, be sure to bundle up! it has been ridiculously cold in ny the past few weeks >.<

You shld just stay at CA and enjoy the weather 😀 and forget about the 200 dollars you had already sent them hehe :laugh:

Also, if you can, please go and read on what health issues are pertinent to Harlem! Also, think about some specific things you would like to do/to get involved/to start~ they love to ask those questions!
And make sure you convince them that you would like to practice there for one reason or another. That school was created to retain physicians in the area!

And think about this question: What is the difference btw the manipulative medicine practiced by D.C.s and those of D.Os =)

Interviewed today. Everyone was really nice....I've been here since Sunday and it's terribly cold.....Anyway, just need to play the waiting game.

Thanks for the advice 🙂 Forgive me if this sounds stupid, but what is a D.C.? (I was guessing .. chiropractor, but I just wanted to ask to be sure, haha)

interviewed jan 13th, still have not been notified of decision. anyone know when we'll be hearing back. any other jan 13ers wondering?

Everybody has been saying that it should take 2 weeks to hear back. If you don't hear back by tonight, I say give them a call tomorrow.
 
Yeah, I heard back exactly 2 wks after the interview, I wouldn't worry too much, Good Luck!!
 
interviewed on jan 13th, just got an call from the director and the dean~ all the best to all who interviewed on the same day with me!👍

I will be withdrawing my acceptance though so hooray for those of you waiting for a spot:luck::luck:

hello everyone. I'm interviewing at Touro-NY on feb 3rd. ill be flying out from cali today and staying in nyc until my interview. any suggestions on what to do? I'm pretty excited 😀
 
When I was there this past Tuesday, the student tour guide gave us some tips on with the interviewers. From what I can remember, if you get Dr. Radjieski (short polish lady), emphasize OMM and D.O. Also, be prepared for Harlem related questions.

I was there Tuesday also. I had Dr. Nowakowski, whom the tour guide said is a researcher, so emphasize research. I didn't particularly say much about research, but she seemed to like me just fine. I guess we'll see in a week and a half.

Dr. Morris is big on DO--he's the one that looks like Colonel Sanders.

I'll echo waitwhat's comment on being prepared for Harlem q's--they seemed to really want to know that you would be okay in that setting.

hey, how do you pronounce "Obed Figueroa", both words of the admission director's name? I have trouble with it. My interview is on Feb. 10th. Don't want to mess it up.
 
I was placed on high waitlist...Hopefully I dont have to wait until August to find out... this is the school I want to go to!
 
I interviewed on Jan. 27th, hopefully I get to hear back by the end of the week! I'm getting antsy.

Do they still call you if you are placed on the waitlist or do they send u an email. Just wondering because I interviewed on the same day and have not heard anything yet. Probably will today tho...
 
I just scheduled my interview for Feb 25-- really excited! Anyone else interviewing that day?

For heaven's sake come to UMDNJ already and we can have tea and coffee parties together! :laugh::laugh::laugh: at our little garden of course!
 
Does anyone know how full the class is now? Is it still worthwhile to pay the $200 and apply to Touro? And is it true that everyone who submits a secondary gets an interview? I've heard mixed answers.

Does anybody know if its possible to be accepted off the waitlist before the interview process is over? I understand its unlikely, but I'm not familiar with how the process works.

r u on high wait list? I heard if u r there then it is like most prob u will get in! I just declined my offer the 2nd day it was offered last week. Good luck to you!
