Day 3

The day began with a heck of a lot of growling. I suppose that's what happens when you put too many carnivores together in one place, and then stress them out for days on end. They're bound to misdirect their aggression eventually.

One carnivore was absent from most of the day's heated discussion, however. For a while, the others gave her some leeway. She was nocturnal, after all. They were still pretty focused on the bear, images playing through their minds of the rabbit's small, lifeless body dangling from his jaws. But late in the day, they started to feel uneasy. Where was the lynx? What had she been up to?

Well, she had been off enjoying herself, avoiding the great big ball of stress the rest of the animals had become. She sauntered back to the gathering place and sat on the edge of the group, yawning and cleaning her face with a paw.

"Have y'all figured out who the other impostor is yet?"
The other animals glared at her.
"Yeah," said the giraffe, towering over her menacingly. "We think it's you."
"Oh. Well that's disappointing," she said. She looked around at the others' faces. Very few looked sympathetic. "Well, I can see this is going to be unpleasant." She turned to run away, but the cheetah was faster. He pounced on her back, bringing her to the ground. The lynx had almost managed to wriggle away, but then something small and furry landed on her neck. It smiled down at her as it crushed her windpipe. Honestly, it was pretty cute.

The Iberian lynx is an endangered wild cat endemic to the Iberian peninsula in southwestern Europe. With only 300-400 individuals left in the wild, it is one of the world's most endangered species, and is the most endangered felid. Populations have declined because of overhunting, poaching, fragmentation of suitable habitats, and the population decline of its main prey species, the European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus), caused by myxomatosis and rabbit haemorrhagic disease. Work on reintroduction began in 2002 in Sierra de Andújar, where the territories of 8 female lynxes have since been restored, and over 50 kittens have been born. Since 2016, 37 captive-bred lynxes have been released in reintroduction areas outside Andalusia.

The push on True in EoD is just not wolfy? Their SoD after having that push on True once again doesnt seem to be much wolf motive.
Killing Genny instead of you doesnt make sense for Khepri if they were a wolf.

Okay it has to be either Seven or Santy. Based on Seven's vote I'm guessing we're in for a thunderdome.
What I'm not understanding is why wolf!Santy would continuously defend Nate *and* Seven rather than give room for a misyeet there.

Sure, but people make mistakes, and sometimes the optimal NK can loop back around to being wrong. Lawpy killing AM ended up being one of the key things that locked Zenge onto him (ignoring that she was the Jailor).

Maybe, but remember I also killed Zenge after he was outspoken about defending me in MLP, and managed to skate by for a bit because "wow, w!PSV wouldn't do that!!"
So like, I have problems clearing people based on NKA because I've made some wacky ass decisions when wolfing.

Had I looked at my own spreadsheet I would have seen that MKG was on my wagon with Lawpy EOD1, which was a point against them being paired. Not sure it would have changed my vote anyway, but oh well.

I sincerely doubt the last wolf will be kind enough to NK me, but in case they do, I think Khepri makes the most sense today. I can be talked into Khepri, Santy, or Clem. It would take something pretty dramatic at this point for me to consider Nate, and I just can't see it being PSV. Finally, Zenge is lock village.

Night 3

The quokka gathered with his buddies around the watering hole. He was tired from being forced to be awake during the day when he would usually be snoozing. He longed for a nap among the comfy grasses, but every time he tried to sleep he was disturbed by the memories of the lynx taking her last breath underneath him. Still, maybe he could close his eyes for just a few moments...

He wandered a little bit away from the watering hole to a patch of tall grass. Even though he hadn't gone that far, soon the rest of the group was out of sight, and if they had looked around, they wouldn't have been able to see him either. He settled down on a soft bed of vegetation and sighed. No, he could tell he wasn't going to be able to sleep. Still, it wold be nice to close his eyes.

A rustling in the grass caused him to sit upright again. Something tall and walking on two legs was approaching him. It smiled at him, which settled his anxiety. This human looks friendly, thought the quokka. He smiled back and positioned himself for a selfie that was sure to go viral in minutes.

Poor fool. We won't go into detail about the state he was in when the other animals found him in the morning. It is far too gruesome.

These little guys are cute as heck! The quokka (Setonix brachyurus) is a small macropod, most closely related to kangaroos and wallabies but the only member of their genus. Like the other macropods, they are native to Australia, mostly found on small islands. They often live in tall grass near water sources and can climb trees. Quokkas have little fear of humans and commonly approach people closely, particularly on Rottnest Island, where they are abundant. For this reason, the quokka selfie became a popular social media trend, as people took pictures of or with quokkas where they appeared to be smiling.
