You're right, it's not a hard vouch but it should have been enough of a soft vouch at the time to get people to back off.
 
@Caiter92 i apologize on behalf of my brain bc my reasoning for staying on your kill was strongly based on me thinking you were referring to the dogs game not the speed one. :sorry:

Things like mentioning the conversion hint or at the beginning misremembering a game (which is allowed lol) but little things like that, that make me feel weird about her. But I don’t know if they’re really enough of anything for me to truly doubt her. I am sorry I’m explaining this so horribly I’m in a weird place in my brain with AM.

Maybe this is accurate. I don't know. If that's the actual definition then I guess it was not a hard vouch. Was fairly substantial though.

And it not being a hard vouch still doesn't explain why you felt so strongly about the weak argument/feels for Caiter that you thought she should die night 1 despite having a vouch from someone who felt strongly about it. Why did you think the person who had a vouch should die instead of any of the people who had no vouch at all?

You leaving your vote where it was would make sense to me if like... you strongly felt SAR or Sporty were wolves and didn't want to risk them ending up in the lead by moving your vote. But like... per your own post you had basically no read on either of them so I'm just not understanding why you were so attached to your Caiter vote and it's bugging me.

I’m not trying to be intentionally obtuse I promise. But why? Can’t the bad guys have covers to give to folks in PMs? And if you’re claiming an ability or something in PM you can make it up without the fear of others disputing you, maybe? Idk maybe I’m just off in left field.

But like I don’t vote to just vote. So I felt the SP was kinda baseless and I can’t read Sporty so why throwaway a vote and be questioned about it. And SAR I had some good guy feels and AM even said the vote started from something in a past game. So you’d rather me vote there??? I get you think you have a hard feel on Caiter and you can 100% be right. But I don’t know why you think this is the most convincing kill to question. The other two candidates had crappy arguments but you’d prefer I move onto those with no reasons and you’re saying you wouldn’t question me for that at all. You’d let it go bc I listened to you and didn’t vote Caiter...?

Basically what I’m saying is in my head at the time I had an argument for Caiter. Obvs I was basing it off the wrong game so that throws off everything I thought and makes me look dumb. And you can totally vote to kill me for that if you want. But at the time I felt I had a justifiable argument compared to the other two up.

No it's fine, you're not being obtuse because I think you have every right to question a vouch that isn't a hard vouch with info coming from the mods. The bad guys can certainly have covers, and in this game they more than likely do. And they can make up roles to their hearts desire. But in this kind of situation, hopefully Caiter has some kind of role that can be proven, and we have at least one person (Finn) who knows what it is now. So if for some reason Caiter can't prove it or we find out she's lying, then we can kill her. Letting someone with a soft vouch live for one more cycle (where hopefully overnight someone can seer or track them) is better in my opinion than letting someone else live who has absolutely no one vouching for them. Which I think a few people have already said.

And bussing a villager this early in the game for no reason is stupid and not my style of play in the slightest

This response kind of makes feel better about you actually. Like... I still don't understand what you were thinking but this response at least feels wolfy.

That said, couple of things in general...

The reason I have been questioning you is because you seem to think that your argument for Caiter being village was stronger than a vouch for her being wolf. And I was wanting to know why you felt that way bc from where I'm standing the only thing that existed against Caiter was a weak argument and I don't understand why you felt that was stronger than a vouch. If you did in fact feel your argument was stronger than a vouch then of course you would be keeping your vote where it is. I just don't understand why you felt it was so strong. Hence why I questioned it. But I'm not even sure that you know why you felt that strongly about it so I'm dropping it bc the questioning isn't accomplishing anything.

The other thing I want to say is that you do realize that not voting for Caiter wouldn't necessarily mean voting for SAR or Sporty, right? I feel like this happened in the speed game too where everybody gets all wrapped up in the leading candidates as if they have to choose between them and like... that's not the case. Just saying.

Okay I definitely get this point of view from you and Finn, my core thing to do in this game is to always follow my train of thought and not just jump on or away from things based on others if not hard vouches. But I definitely see the benefit like you’re explaining here I guess I just gotta adjust how I play some. I just have so many negative scenarios around vouches and things based on PMs.

Yeah I know I could’ve voted for others but I really didn’t have any strong feelings or arguments for anyone, based on what Allie explained a moment ago, I see why you’d want me just to follow your lead but I really was just thinking about who i felt I could defend my decision on. But that’s a big egg in my face because of the misremembering of things, So basically I see my flaw in thinking and can try to adjust for the future.

Basically I’m just stubborn.

I mean, there could be other explanations for why there might not have been any deaths, though. 2 ability claims on the thread being one.

I get that the writeup kind of suggests a conversion, but there's also a chance you're misinterpreting or that it's intentionally misleading or something. D2 is awfully damn early for a conversion. And even if you're not misinterpreting, the lack of dead wolves could be attributed to something else. We don't know for sure what the conditions are, and it feels weird to me to have a conversion happen this early in the game, dead villager or no

...has me still keeping an eye on dolphin. Just not wanting to vote there yet because a lot of her responses before that were feeling wolfy even though I didn't get really get an answer per se.

Yeah I mean I'm not saying it's not a possibility, and I agree that the writeup would suggest it. I'm just saying it's not the only possibility, and I personally get a bit wary of something that appears to be obvious but happens at what I would consider to be a strategically odd time.

No one is obligated to agree with me nor am I saying mine is 100% correct and unrefutable. I'm just bringing stuff to attention that people may have glossed over. When I do inevitablely in up in dead chat, I'd like as few things to rage about as possible.

I just wanted you to clarify that you were talking about a conversion, which you did to Dolphin. It seems like you've been playing this game in a very out-of-character way for you. Going for mayor and then saying "oops, I forgot I hate being the mayor", mis-remembering several points, most of all talking about mechanics early when you regularly claim to hate mechanics. Idk how to interpret this, but I really don't like it. So for now:

Ok but like...you don't see why there might be problems with blindly trusting what someone says they got for an ask-the-mod question? Unless you know something about Skim that I don't know, I don't see how you'd be ready to completely trust something like that. ESPECIALLY a question that addresses number of villagers and includes a potential avenue for chaos hunting. There's like literally no reason to just be like "oh ok sure, I believe you. 3 non-wolves, got it"
