I just put "X semester credits" in each one. As in, I wrote the full phrase, since I wasn't sure what they wanted.
 
thanks! that's smart.. I called the office and the lady seemed completely clueless
 
I FINALLY submitted!

For credits (I have semester credits) I just put the number to two decimal places (like 3.00, 4.00, etc.) and it automatically changed them to numbers with zero decimal places (3, 4, etc.) Not sure if that helps or not...

Also, my essays were formatted fine, even with something in quotation marks.
 
If the status is "complete and under review" does that mean they've received all expected letters?
 
I assume that if my status says "Application in Process - You should hear from our office within 4-6 weeks." then they haven't received everything?

By 4-6 weeks do they mean... about my completion status? or interview vs. rejection status?
 
Submitted my secondary app 7/22, my status is "Application Complete - Under Review" as well. Ugh this waiting is driving me nuts...
 
justapremed, did you have the "under review" status yet?
 
hmm.. did you get a complete email? i did nto have the in progress status as far as i saw. when i got the complete email, i logged in and saw that it said under review.
 
just asked my friend who just submitted the app, and she has the 4-6 weeks things. so i guess you go through that before you are under review
 
ah okay. yeah, I have yet to receive a "complete" email. I hope they don't mean that it will take 4-6 weeks for them to give us the "complete" update... uh.
 
OMG! I just spent 20 minutes entering my classes, and after I pressed continue it logged me out and erased everything! I haven't even been logged in for that long
 
Anyone else sending letters via interfolio? It claims NYU accepts electronic submissions, should I just do that/would it be faster? I really hope it doesn't take 4-6 weeks to be complete (by far my top choice school, I would go insane waiting!)

I sent my via interfolio last weekend and I was complete by tuesday.
 
I submitted AMCAS at the beginning of August and I still haven't had an invite for the secondary. NYU doesn't screen right? Is there anything I should be doing?

Yeah, I submitted by Interfolio (electronic) and I was marked complete today! (I sent the letter 8/18 and submitted app 8/22)

ar2388 - your font in the above post is pretty crazy :-D
 
anyone have this as their status at NYU ?

Final Decision Pending - All final decisions will be sent on March 3rd.
 
I'm sure it's just another way of saying that your application has already been reviewed...
 
March 3rd?

Meaning, if it does mean rejection, we won't formally know that until March 3rd??? That sucks. If you're rejecting us, do it for crying out loud.

Do they not hand out any acceptances until March 3rd too?

Well, it sounds like they've made a final decision, and that couldn't be an acceptance, because they haven't interviewed yet.

Of course, that's only speculation, and it's possible they just used a very poor choice of words.

I mean, that never happens on medical school applications. Online secondaries, and status pages, are ALWAYS well worded, intelligent, updated, and they always work, rain or shine.

Obviously, kidding. I would hold out hope - I think that if I'm on the committee and I think to myself "this is a rejection..." than we hold it for a while, see what his fall semester grades are, that sort of thing. Who knows what it means, could be an interview or a hold message via letter or an apple pie in the mail for trying.

I spoke with someone on the phone today and found out that the Final Decision Pending message basically means a rejection if you don't have an interview. 👎

Ohh.. that's interesting. What did the person on the phone say that led you to that conclusion? That kind of sucks, I had some sort of legacy too.

she said without an interview it probably means rejection, which was the original assumption. I could be misinterpreting her answer, and I didn't really push the issue. By all means, call them up and see if you hear otherwise. I hope I'm wrong! 🙂

ouch...i got that message...seems kind of weird because NYU doesn't start interviewing until October...they must have REALLY not like me
 
I emailed NYU about the paragraph thing and said that I could email copies of my essays to resubmit them... although I don't think I will

Outstanding school with arguably the best clinical expereince in the country.

Still, that Web app is the worst POS I've seen at any school. The tech guys need to be FIRED.

hey guys, did anyone have more than 3 courses for each prerequisite? like if you had gen chem 1 and gen chem 1 lab, and gen chem 2 and gen chem 2 lab, would you just leave one off, or attach a separate sheet? thanks!!

I combined the labs, just to be on the safe side, leaving parenthetical notes in the course title boxes.👍:luck:
 
My application status says "Final decision pending" too. It just turned today and I've been complete since 8/12. Maybe I'm being too hopeful, but is it really fair to assume rejection when no one has received an interview invite either? Speaking of, when are interviews supposed to start going out for NYU??

I agree. Plus, why would they have multiple status changes for people who are 1. invited to interview, 2. have been interviewed, 3. decision has been made. There's no need for transparency after the interview if decisions don't come until March 3.

Interviews probably start any day now because people said that interviews start in October.
 
Per the rejection thread - someone called and found out that the final decision pending thing means they are deciding wether or not to give you an interview. So there you have it.
