anybody else gonna be there on Monday!?!?!
I'll be there on Monday,
but who is going to that pizza place with the med students on Sunday night?

Pending review means under review...so they haven't looked at your app yet.Does "pending review" mean they haven't looked at the application yet, or can it also mean that I'm on hold? Some people earlier in this thread seem to have a different but similar status--something like "decision pending," which makes this more confusing. I've been complete for over 9 weeks and still have "pending review."

Wow, they must be very backed up. I was complete 8/5 and i'm still stuck with that message.

How is that true? I was told "pending decision" meant the same thing 😛Not exactly, I have the pending review status and the secretary told me that they had already reviewed my app once and that no decision was made. She said that it will go to another review later on. So its neither a good thing or a bad thing.

I got an interview today, but on the schedule interview page, there is nothing to select. The two phrases "Select Interview Date" and "Available Dates" are show on the page, but nothing else to see/select/click on. I tried using IE and firefox, but both had the same problem.
Anyone else have this same issue?
Have any other OOS applicants received a secondary? Does UCI reject people pre-secondary or do they just let you hang b/c I've been waiting for quite a while and all it still says is "Pending Review"?
Yes, they reject pre secondary.
Not true... This year's admission of OOS was 10%+ Notre Dame, Michgan, and others. Granted this is not high, but certainly more than ~0-1%...

This is my first post on here, and I just scheduled an interview for November 12. Since I'm going for the PRIME-LC, part of my interview is supposed to be in Spanish. does anyone know what the Spanish portion of the interview is like?
anyone heard back about decisions yet????
I interviewed 9/24 and have not heard anything yet.
I just got put on the alternate list today. Interviewed 10/6. Anyone else heard anything from UCI? Good, bad, indifferent?

yargh. lesson learned. next time: no swearing, less talking about surfing and more talking about why that school of medicine is good for me!
sigh.
Did you really swear? I know what you mean though about the BS talk. I must have been too laid back, I think it was a trap. They want to hear how you are gonna be the best med student there and not the best surfer! well, you live and learn...
true story. i swore multiple times. they weren't expletitives, more adjetive swears (when talking about some of my patients: "they're situation is so ****ed up"). Stupid me. I think it was my subconsious trying to sabatoge me (i've already spent 6 years in OC, another 4 could be tough).
seriously, they were all about being a relaxed place to do med school, but i think i was a bit too casual too.

i personally found irvine depressing
I went there for undergrad...it is kind of boring. But on campus there is a lot of things to do and newport beach is like 5-10 minutes from the school. LA is only a 45-60 minute drive if you want to go there on a weekend. Its no Santa Barbara, but it sure hell beats going out of state. I would LOVE to go there for med school.
I'm curious, has anyone actually been accepted so far at UCI? More specifically, those who interviewed 10/6?
