Anyone have UCI the letters via snail mail yet? I sent my letters before my payment....and they cashed my check already. kind of funny.

hmmm ... I submitted UCI's secondary just now, and I didnt check the box that said "online LORs" because I thought it was some funky online system just through UCI.

All of my LORs are going through Virtual Eval... should I call UCI and get that changed? Or is Virtual Evals considered "not online"

I called them about letters of rec, but not about your specific question. VE is considered online. I would call them and have them change it. 👍

You can delete your LOR information up until they actually receive them, but I'm not sure if you can add letter info. If you can, you could just add a new entry and delete the old one.

I sent my LORs snail mail (through my school's letter writing service). It says under the "Letters of Rec" tab that they received all of them on 7/21, but the "Letters of Rec Complete" window on the main status page is still blank. So I guess it's a yes and no to your question

...and my check was cashed right away too! Must be that budget deficit or something...

They have my secondary, letters (through VE), and payment, but I'm not marked complete yet.

I called them, and they said they enter people as complete manually, so it's gonna take awhile.

It's a little coincidental that my letters weren't entered, then magically after I talked to a lady at admissions (who was fantastically nice) my letters were entered the next morning. have you tried that for Keck (which is indeed a southern california school)?

I tried, they told me that I have to wait 6 weeks.

Haha, the lady I spoke to didn't ask for my name or AMCAS ID, so maybe she just went through and marked everybody complete.

This exact same scenario happened to me too. I called the admissions office today and the woman who answered my call said that she doesn't know why the application is still marked incomplete... apparently even though all the information was received, the system still doesn't recognize the application as complete. She asked to get back to me via email so we'll see what happens

But seriously, I have no idea why Keck is slacking; she told me to call in another 2 weeks if they weren't entered. Arg!!! Some SDNers are complete there.

Hehe, They probably marked your ID, so that if you call before 2 weeks then they can say "you called a week ago, I told you to wait 2 weeks, whats wrong with you, man!?!"

your application has been processed (verified), if you revisit your application, AMCAS has done the conversion (qtr hrs to sem

hrs) for you

·. .We will accept AP credit for the Physics, Math, and English requirements as long as it appears on your official college or university

transcript. We do not accept AP credit for the Biology and Chemistry requirements


I unfortunately did not see this until after I submitted and put Stats 101 from some BS community college on it. Oh well, I am sure it isnt a big deal at all.

Haha, their instructions contradict their FAQ. I used AP Stats for my statistics requirement, so we'll see what happens.

When did you send them? I sent mine 07/18, and they still dont have them. I called the office, and unlike many of you, did not get a very warm welcome. The lady told me they were busy with their UCI entering class, and they dont have my letters. I asked why not, but she seemed pretty annoyed. Its lame because i live only 4 hours away, and sent my letters so long ago. I am resending, but losing confidence on their ability to actually find them.....kind of lame😡

Guys guys guys... I dont get the whole calling thing... try emailing them... in general, people prefer to be emailed because then they get to prioritize your email and respond to it when they are ready... unlike when u call and they need to stop whatever they are doing, or you just add to the growing queue of flashing lights on their switchboard (not literally, but you get what I mean)...

Try emailing for 2 simple reasons:

1) you can ask more targeted questions
2) you can get more targeted answers

I'm still waiting and very worried. I'm also confused because UCLA and UCSD gave me a secondary.

The same thing happened to me, but they eventually fixed it. When I called, they told me that they were busy with this fall's incoming class, but it would be fixed eventually.

I am wondering how many batches of secondaries have been sent & when they were sent.

My status says "pending review" and it has been that way since I got the received notification on 7/30.

Mine has been taking forever. I submitted 7/18 and I'm "Pending Review" as of 8/16. I'm crossfing my fingers so hard on UCI they could break if I'm not careful! I realllllllllllly want to get in.

I submitted 7/18 as well... but my status is still not "complete", although they have received all portions of my application.

so my application is complete (8/25) and my status is under review

i want to update them about a new job i got and will be starting next week. is it bad to just write a short blurb? or should i wait until i've been working for a few weeks so i can write more? not sure how long they "review" applications for :\

I personally went ahead and sent an update for some things I have going on. I figure, at the least it expresses my interest in the school and it will get them looking at my app right when interview season is about to start.

I'm in the exact same boat. I received all other UCs that I applied to but not UCI. And I thought it was the only one that I had a chance with... Maybe we'll bve in the next batch?
