I know I'm super late now, but is anyone having secondary issues where one of the essay boxes is empty but says there is already like 300 words in there so when I copy in a normal essay from notepad it says I have like 600 words and won't let me send??? I called the admissions office like a month ago, got a voicemail that I missed and never listened to, forgot about it because of other applications, and i listened to it as I was deleting them now but couldn't get the number. Any advice???

I had that exact problem. Their office told me to press ctrl and "a" at the same time then press delete. This should clear all the hidden characters.

Is anyone else having trouble accessing Creighton's admissions website? I haven't been able to access it for a while. Has it been down or is it just my browser/connection?😕

It may be your browser/connection. I'm able to access it fine using internet explorer.

Does anyone know if they have discussed the 10/23 group of students who were interviewed?

So I have a question about alternate status...is there anyone that got alternate status and called to ask why and then improved that area and got accepted before May? or does it just possibly place you higher on the waitlist when May comes around?

They won't accept people from the waitlist until after May 15th. I know they don't officially rank their waitlist, they say it's more of an "applicant pool".... but I assume that the applicants who actually work on their weaknesses and continue to send updates and show significant interest in attending Creighton would be high priority compared to those who didn't keep the lines of communication open.

I was waitlisted last cycle, so I worked on my area of weakness and continued to send updates/letter of interest. Unfortunately, there was not much waitlist movement last year and they only ended up taking 13-14 (not sure exactly) people off the waitlist and from what I've heard all but 1 or 2 of those were Creighton undergrads. I applied earlier this year, interviewed in late September, and got accepted 10/22. Obviously my application was well-recieved this time around and I'm sure that my continued showing of interest while on the alternate list last cycle had something to do with it. Who knows, maybe I was "high priority" on the waitlist last year and would have gotten in if they had been able to take more people!

Has anybody been offered an interview recently?

If so, please share with those of us who are still waiting, when were you complete? And what month are they scheduling interviews for at this point?

Just trying to figure out where I stand. I have average stats, was complete mid-late September.

Yes, that group was discussed last week. Things have been pretty hectic as of late, so I can't say when they made or are going to make the acceptance calls.

At this point, interview offers for the "3rd wave" have not yet been sent out, so what that means is that Jan-Mar is wide open with plenty of spots available. I would assume that will change sometime in the next 3-4 weeks.

accepted! Just got the call! I interviewed 10/23. This was one of my top choices! so what do people think of the phoenix track?

Congrats!! Is this your first MD acceptance? I think the Phoenix option sounds awesome though there's not too much concrete information about it just yet (logistics, etc.). I signed up to go because from what Dr. Nipper told me the decision is not set in stone.

Im interviewing this friday. Complete around september...hope that helps

I've been complete since august and haven't heard anything back yet. Do they send rejection letters immediately or wait?

I'll be interviewing here Dec 12th! Super excited...

I noticed the day is from 8am-3pm! Any tips for such a long day? Should I bring some food or something? I'll at least sneak a protein bar in my suit:meanie:

I just got back from my interview here...they provide breakfast and lunch so I wouldn't worry about bringing anything substantial. Good luck...it was a great experience for me!

I just withdrew my application and canceled the interview.
So a new spot is open.

Awesome man! How did it go? Any tips? Looks like they accept a good amount of people interviewed

I got one yesterday, but I did contact them a few days earlier saying I would be in the area so maybe that was not the 3rd wave.

My interviews were low stress and my interviewers were both nice people. The whole day is really well-organized so you'll definitely know what the school has to offer. Good luck!

I too have had a long silence from Creighton. My app was complete in late September/ Early October...does anyone know when I can expect to hear something...anything? I've been accepted at another school that wants a big fat deposit to hold my place in the class, which makes waiting for other schools financially dangerous! lol.

My interview is coming up and I had a few questions for those who have already interviewed.

I understand there is a student and a PhD or MD interviewer. Are these 2 separate interviews or together.

Also did they say how long it would take to hear back post interview.

Thanks again. Any advice for my interview please dont hesitate. This will be my 4th interview, but it seems they have all made me nervous.

Cheers

Congrats on the 4 interviews!:claps:

The interviews are separate and very relaxed. You've been through three already so you'll do just fine.

This was my best interview experiences of five that I've been on. They really make you feel at home.

Thanks. I think I will do good its just a matter of keeping composure and focusing on presenting who you are and what you feel instead of what you think they want to hear.

Do you remember how many students were there to interview total.

On my interview day there were 27 students but this was the first interview date back in August so I'm unsure if this has remained a routine number throughout the season.

there were also like 20+ on my interview day.

For those who are getting interview invites right now, when was your application complete here?

Accepted tonight! Phone call 4:40EST. Interviewed 11/6.

Well it's been over 3 weeks so it's possible that they've already made a decision on your application so I would say either an acceptance or a wait list. Both are thin envelopes.... Good luck!

I think they send acceptance and alternate letters. I am not sure if they send rejection letters. The size of the envelope could indicate what kind of decision the letter will convey. My packet was thin and contained a letter notifying me of alternate status. It also included a letter to accept this status or reject it which had to be returned in 14 business days. You may want to have your roommate open it just in case you need to reply by a certain time. I hope it's an acceptance though!!!

Good luck.

has anyone started a facebook group for the class of 2014 yet?

they do post interview rejections as posted by someone else in this thread. Its rare though near everyone is WL or accepted.

So I see there was mass rejections the other day....I have been complete since Aug/early September and haven't heard a thing. I called once and they said I should call back and talk to the dean....still considered "interview eligible"....
So I guess it is a good sign I wasn't rejected yet?

I just wish schools would hurry up and make up their minds....this waiting is killing me....

me and you both. thanks for the info, now we just have to wait to see if interview eligible means much.

For acceptances, does Creighton call or do they mail? From the posts on here, it seems like some have gotten called but then others were just accepted by a letter. That seems weird.

They call and then you receive an acceptance letter about 1 week later.
