no idea...its only 9am where i am now so i assume they will be calling like EST people first or something, or people in the area more. At least i tell myself that because i dont want to think about how they might reject me

Same here. Anyone know if they call the home phone or personal (cell) phone?
 
I just got a phone call from Creighton! Woohoo!
So as far as the questions go-
1. They called my cell
2. I'm in the central time zone
3. I interviewed in mid september
 
I'm in at Creighton too!:soexcited::biglove:

interviewed Aug 28.
 
no call for me.... i guess waitlist/rejection it is!🙁

I would assume so...i doubt any school would be like hello Mr X. Congratulations, you are rejected/waitlisted have a wonderful day....😛. Id assume snail mail or emails for waitlist/rejections
 
So at long last I can look forward to medical school! All the studying and the long hours, Awesome! I talked to the admissions people around 2:20 my time, 4:20 Omaha time. They said it has been kind of hectic and unfortunately all the calls for the current acceptances have not been made... like a neurotic premed I just called the offices and asked. Good luck everybody 🙂

oh dude you made my day thank you haha....i guess there is hope still....maybe that acceptance will come tomorrow...im praying i really loved this school.

i think waiting to hear back has been the most nerve racking process yet...i feel crazy lol
 
Damn. Dr. Nipper called me while I was at work so I couldn't answer the phone. He told me to call the office back tomorrow.

I doubt they call people just to reject them or only waitlist them since that would seem epic-aly harsh.

But :luck:
 
I got the call an hour ago, he said he is still calling people on the west coast who are accepted.

probably...more might go out tomorrow though it seems, though it seems slim at this point. I dont want to say its a waitlist for sure, but im not feeling confident at this point, seems a lot were accepted. I was interviewed 9/4 fairly sure its done🙁

Do you think Dr. Nipper would personally call every single accepted person today? I would wait a week to hope there will be any lay over calls. Don't lose hope JUST yet. Plus u got baller interviews in Cali anyways!
 
Accepted! I found out this morning, if you're really dying to know maybe you should call them, but I don't think they got everybody yesterday.

Don't do this unless you are prepared to possibly hear the words "alternate list". I just got told waitlist and it was awkward and pathetic at the same time. It's too bad the alt list at this school is pretty much death row. This was my first choice outside of CA especially with the Arizona option. Bad times.

same i called and i got alternate....basically no one gets rejected ever at this school so the list is huge, at least from what my student host told me, you can basically take this as a rejection....upsetting as outside of my state schools, i would go to creighton hands down sigh...wonder if i did something odd at the interview i thought it went so well....

I was waitlisted last cycle (granted, my interview was late February). If you call Jarmon or Nipper they will tell you why, FWIW. I find out next
Monday... I'm super nervous !:scared:

lol im hesitant to call and ask why im a failure. I might call later for now ill just move on as im basically rejected here and hope my other interviews come out into acceptances. thanks for the info though and gl nxt monday hopeuflly u get good news!
 
well those of you who havent heard from them yet, dont worry... they may not have decided yet.

i called them yesterday because i was too antsy and they said they hadnt made a decision on me yet... i interviewed 8/28 too!

i was waitlisted last year- im going to die if i get waitlisted again. okay... maybe thats an exaggeration. ill live. but i've done everything i could to make up for what i lacked last year. i dont know what else to do... and that waitlist is about as good as a rejection if it doesn't move again.
 
Hey everyone, thought I could say a few things. First, congrats to those who have heard good news. I hope you all end up having many choices, but still find that Creighton is the best fit! Any questions about the school, please don't hesitate to ask.

Second, I am sorry for those that did not hear the good news, but you should not take that as the horrific news that some have made it out to be. Yes, our waitlist can get quite long. Yes, at this point, most people that aren't accepted get waitlisted, but we do not waitlist everyone. Trust me, if we thought you wouldn't be a good fit or something really went wrong in your interview, there would be no reason to waitlist you.

Last year our waitlist did not move much compared to prior years, but who knows what will happen this year. What I can say is that Dr. Nipper and Garland are very honest and upfront about things, so as ABRuniverse said, they will tell you what they think led to your being waitlisted. This is important, because if it's something like not having enough clinical experience, well, between now and May, you can gain a lot of experience, etc. No matter what, if you are interested in the school, continue to send updates. We want people that want to be at Creighton. I know that doesn't make it easier to hear and for those that really liked Creighton, that's probably not comforting at all, but don't give up hope. PM if you have any specific questions.

Best of luck to everyone, just wanted to let people know that waitlist does not equal rejection.
 
Does anyone know about how long it takes Creighton to make a decision after the interview?
 
Hey all! Congrats to everyone with acceptances👍 If anyone wants more information about the Creighton community or the Omaha area, feel free to PM me. I am currently an undergrad at Creighton. Probably the best thing about the school is that they really are about their students and take time to get to know you as an individual. I think this is true at all levels. They want you to be happy and successful. Good luck:luck:
 
just got my letter in the mail telling me i was rejected. so i guess if the admissions person on the phone tells you they hadnt made a decision yet, they just didn't want to tell you you were rejected.

i seriously jumped through hoops to satisfy their committee getting new volunteer stuff and such. those experiences couldn't even get started before they made their decision...

im not going to waste my money on applying there next year if i end up with no acceptances again- after a waitlist and now a rejection, i really dont know what i can do to satisfy their requirements. good luck to everyone still waiting for an answer...
 
Just interviewed at Creighton yesterday and LOVED it...I hope I hear from them soon but they said that since they have two interview days a week now (Fri and Sat) they are getting behind since they only give the committee one interview days worth each week to review...
 
I send in my secondary in late August and haven't received an interview. Does that mean I have no chance at this point?
 
Has anybody who interviewed 9/25 (or later) received an acceptance? The latest I've seen unless mistaken are some 9/18ers getting in.

I interviewed 9/26 and have not yet heard back. On my interview day Garland Jarmon told us that we would have our decision by the 15th, but then he called everyone in my interview group to inform us that he was previously mistaken and that we would actually have our decision on 10/26 . 😱

You may still have a chance. They sent out a batch of interviews early on and then it seemed to slow down a bit. It appears that they have started interviewing again recently. Good luck:luck:

I too fell in love with Creighton after the interview! Good luck.:luck:Waiting to hear back is the toughest part.😉

Accepted to Creighton as well... interviewed September 18th. Loved the people and school- very exciting!

Accepted today!! Interviewed 9/26. I was waitlisted last year so this is a huuuuge relief. Good luck to everyone! :biglove::biglove:😀
